Does everything it says on the tin for the price point it is at. Hostel, kitchen with essentials, WC and separate shower, some novelty, small rooms and not overcrowded. Very small balcony for socialising, if you are here with some friends would be okay though - but pictures all tell the tale you get!

The wifi is not always stable. If more people would have want to cook, the pots in the kitchen would not be enough. In my stay it wasn't a problem because the hostel wasn't full.

Very nice owners - they welcomed us very nicely on the first night (we end up drinking together). The hostel itself is nice and small , with small but nice kitchen to cook.

I just had another great stay at this hostel. It has become a center point of this trip where I come and go between visiting other places. It is very economically priced and is in a great location in the old town.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Alcatraz Jail Hostel in Tbilisi, and I must say it was a wonderful experience! One of the first things I noticed upon entering the hostel was the impeccable cleanliness. The common areas, kitchen, and bathrooms were well-maintained and spotless, making me feel comfortable and at home. The staff prioritizes cleanliness and ensures the hostel remains tidy throughout the day. Another highlight of Alcatraz Jail Hostel is its fantastic location, providing an ideal base for exploring the city. Situated in the heart of Tbilisi, it is just a short walk away from major attractions, restaurants, and public transport. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tbilisi and would certainly stay here again in the future!

Every time I come to Tbilisi, Alcatraz hostel is my choice to stay at. It's always clean, the bed linens and towels are fresh. The owner is wonderful. She's obliging about most requests. It just feels like home away from home. Every bed has a night light and plug in right by the bed. The entire place is very well kept up, too. Its location is perfect too, Liberty Square is a 12-minute walk, plus there's a dozen or so restaurants close by as well.

My bed and the rest of the hostel were very clean, with a functional kitchen and a nice balcony. The owner of the hostel was a very nice woman. The location is also great.

I love everything about this place. Perfect location, it's clean and has a vibe. The owner is so cool and hospitable. She'll offer Chacha in the afternoon ☺️ I booked 3 nights first and now I'm extending every day. I've also got cool cellmates. I highly recommend it.

A fun themed hostel in a great location in the old town. Hostel has views of the old town from the terrace and common room. Sulphur baths are only a 5 minute walk from the hostel.

Nothing. Everything was perfect and amazing! There were even towels which was cool because not many hostels provide fresh towels.

We did not really have anything major to complain about. I guess the lighting in the room could be improved with a nightlight on the nightstand and they could add another nightstand to the other side of the bed as well. Otherwise perfect for the money.

The couple who runs the place is truly amazing. Very welcoming and infinite hospitality, also always willing to help you with getting by in the city or tips. The location is truly perfect, Old Tbilisi is the place to be. Anything else is located less then 10 minutes away by car (use Bolt for cheap and easy rides). The theme of the hostel is very cool, they really put effort into it.

The hosts were warm and welcoming. Super accommodative. The location of the hostel is just perfect. Everything is at a walking distance. It was clean and organized. The host also got us homemade chachapuri and chacha. 🎊
