Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

All was ok.
Cool and tidy place located at the heart of Batumi Oldtown. Staff is friendly. Facilities are good. Cleaning is perfect. I will prefer again when i come to Batumi.

All perfect!
The staff was extraordinary helpfull and friendly, we stayed at back2me hostel two different times this week as we liked it a lot! The rooms are very nice, spacey and clean, the kitchen as well and the design and comfort is amazing! I can totaly reccomend!

Maria and Yereslov are amazing staff. Super friendly and always available 24/7 to take care of anything you need. Plus the location of this hostel is walki distance to almost all important places in Batumi

It was one of the best hostel experiences. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Maria (I hope I spelled her name correctly). The hostel atmosphere, design and comfort were good. If I come again, I would stay here again. The location was perfect. It was nice to spend time in the kitchen and common area and chat with the people there. Cheers :))

The location was perfect, easy to walk everywhere as a tourist. Also close to bus and minibus situations which go to Batumi Railway Station, Batumi Botanical Garden etc. I was able to reach everywhere I wanted. The toilets and showers were top notch clean. I had the chance of staying alone but rooms were getting cleaned as well. Definitely value for money experience, would stay again.

It was unusual to put on the bed linens ourselves, but it was no big deal.
We stayed in a private room with our own bathroom, and it was great for the price. The location is perfect, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The shared kitchen and office areas were very convenient - my husband woke up earlier than me and enjoyed reading a book there while letting me sleep in. I highly recommend it!

The other guy ,receptionist was not as friendly as expected. He could be more friendly and respectful. Also the shower was not as warm as expected. Actually this water thing happened for 2 of us .we were 9.
Maria the main host was very friendly and well-behaved. She treated us kindly.We played a boardgame which she led and we had so much fun for a few hours.

The bathrooms were always wet and there are only two sinks. There is no where to place toiletries bag, clothing etc in the bathroom, just a small hook which isn’t ideal.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Beds are big and comfortable with block out curtains all the way around each bed. Laundry is only 10 Gel for washing and drying. Facilities are modern and clean.

You must pay for everything especially for the laundry , 5.GEL for every washing !! For Iron too and etc.
It was very clean, they clean there every day, friendly and excellent atmosphere, good-natured and friendly managers, especially Mr. Hair Dryer . Its very near to Batumi attractions such as the Ali and Nino statues, the Beach, the Alphabet Tower, etc., with a few steps on foot.

Really good location in the old town. Clean rooms and bathroom and reception that is open 24h. Ideal for short stay visit of the city. I would come again next time I am in Batumi.

Beds are a bit higher to climb as it's bunk bed. Toilets don't have jet spray. Only tissues are available(it is the same across Georgia).
I liked the clean bed sheets, pillow covers and towel were given, and the separate washrooms. I had opted for the female dorm. Everything was so clean and nice. It's in the central location. Ali and nino statue, Batumi beach, the big eye all the main attractions are like 500 m away. All the facilities are good. Separate washrooms for male and female. The staff is friendly and understanding. Bathroom lighting is excellent. Common kitchen and dining area. Where we can work or chill. They also have an attic with TV and couches. Everything is so clean and tidy.
