Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelNothing really! You have to leave your key with the front desk when you go out and pick it back up when you come in, but there's always someone there, so it's not an issue at all.
We had a great two night stay here! We got a room with a little balcony, which was a bonus as it wasn't stated on the booking info. The room was quite large, with a huge bathroom, and was very warm despite the winter cold outside. The bed was comfy, and the decor in this hotel is so unique and fun. It really feels like a mini-museum. We had to leave early in the morning both days for tours, so we weren't able to eat at the breakfast buffet, as it starts at 9. However, the kitchen staff were super kind and provided us with great lunchboxes for our trips! The lunchboxes included hardboiled eggs, crepes, breads, cheeses, yogurts and water in a little plastic contained. They were much better than packed breakfasts from other places we stayed! The location of the hotel is great - it's within walking distance to most attractions with lots of nice restaurants and bars around it. The staff was attentive and we had no problems!

Qatar“The hotel’s location is absolutely perfect, making it easy to explore the city. All the staff were incredibly kind and helpful without exception, which made my stay very comfortable. The heating system was excellent, especially for the cold weather, adding a cozy touch. Breakfast was delicious and varied, reflecting the local flavors of the country. What I loved the most was the overall atmosphere of the hotel – warm and authentic, making me feel immersed in the charm of the old town. A truly unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it!”

CyprusWi-Fi worked fine throughout the hotel, but not in my room. However, on the first day, I got a local SIM card with unlimited data, so it wasn’t an issue anymore
The airport transfer came with a fascinating city history lesson—I learned so many interesting facts, figures, and stories about famous people connected to Tbilisi from the driver 👍👍👍 Unlimited chacha in four varieties (including pepper-infused) Great staff. The reception was super helpful with everything—from finding tape to recommending truly delicious suluguni cheese. The ladies in the kitchen served delicious breakfasts and would even offer to fry up some eggs for you. The guys at reception are always ready to open the door for you, carry your bags, pour you a glass of chacha, etc. Cozy vibes all around. The hotel is full of authentic decor and preserved items from a past era. If you grew up in the USSR, it’s a walk down memory lane; if not, it’s a chance to experience a bit of history. The room had everything I needed: central heating, an extra space heater, air conditioning, rugs, a fridge, and a desk (at least mine did). City center, close to the cool spots. BTW, feel free to bring a book to swap. My room had about 20 books. I was tempted to take one, but the book I brought with me wasn’t finished yet…

KazakhstanI guess it is the problem of the majority of old buildings in this district, yet - the toilet smells bad! There bis a defienite problem with the sewage - there was no such a problem back then, when we stayed in 2017 and in 2022. There is a definite problem with the sewage smell!
This was my third time staying in this hotel. As always - very good staff with all possible ways of being polite and rendering all services possible. Very good breakfast, great decorations of the hotel itself and just perfect location in Tbilisi. Our special thanks to Marina - she very poitely asked us if we are going to continue our stay or to leave the hotel and thus she reminded us that we have to fly back - without her we would simply miss our flight back. (we would actually love to stay longer in Tbilisi and in this hotel, but we had to return; we will come back as soon as our opportunities allow - thank you, Marina!)

IndiaThe room was very comfortable, clean and ethnically done. We got breakfast packed as we had to go for tours everyday early in the morning. The breakfast was elaborate. They had sent a taxi to pick us up at the airport that was complimentary. I would like to stay here again if I happen to visit Tbilisi.

RomaniaI can't really think of anything, sorry. We were very happy there. The ceiling light stopped working one day...but they sent a repairman immediately and he was like some kind of Harry Potter -- it was fixed without a lot of sawing, banging, soldering... You need to be considerate of other guests if you are gregarious night owls like we are. A neighbor knocked on the wall when we were laughing and talking loudly at 2 AM. Our bad, I'd say.
Oh. My. God. Did I dream this? Was I really there? This is one of the most interesting places in which I have ever stayed...it's packed with USSR-era antiques and memorabilia (in good taste), which the owner will happily explain to you. Even if you aren't a nostalgic like me. The owner is knowledgeable, fun and friendly about the quirky and interesting decor -- like visiting a favorite uncle who loved to collect things. They welcome you with chacha (schnapps-like beverage) and repeat the gesture at breakfast! True Caucasus hospitality. We appreciated it so much. The family and staff that run the place are always around, in a good way, welcoming and helpful. It's a decent-sized place but we felt like we were staying in their home, in all the best ways. Breakfast is generous, delicious, and with eggs cooked to order! The room is enormous. The bathroom is extremely clean with a big shower and facilities you'd fine in a 4-star hotel. The furniture is great, comfortable and big, with witty bits of memorabilia about. I was so grateful for the kettle and teabags, and a fairly large in-room refrigerator just like the one I had in my hotel in Moscow in 1985. But no microphone! The front desk staff are welcoming and attentive, and speak English as well as Russian. There is, what luxury! a full-time bell-hop to assist with luggage. Each floor has a sitting area with marvelous furniture from days gone by, and a radio softly playing old-time music. We had such a great time in Tbilisi, and this hotel is a big part of it. I look forward to returning!

Location is great! Very close to center, which is close to metro, gathering place for excursions, shops and cafes. People (staff of hotel) are friendly, always smiling and advising us the best, and the clean rooms, which is done everyday. Authentic hotel, interesting things all over the hotel.

United KingdomIt’s not that I didn’t like it. But some people would not like the fact that there was no lift. There was however someone available who could carry bags up and down the stairs. It’s on a rather noisy street. It doesn’t have an in-house bar.
This is a quirky slightly eccentric old fashioned hotel that has its own v distinctive identity - lots of focus on Russia. The room was decorated appropriately and was comfortable. Breakfast was more than sufficient in terms of choices and was all freshly prepared. The staff were cheerful and helpful. It’s not got all the mod cons and comforts of modern hotels but it’s really well located in the old town; close to Liberty Square; easy to walk around and to enjoy the food and amenities in that area.
