I stayed at the guest house towards the end of season and found the entire place for myself. Thia, the owner, gave me the biggest heated room with heated washroom, without asking. I got the biggest breakfast plate every morning (never being able to finish). Thia guided me which places to visit as she has been a tour guide herself. Mestia is a small place and at night gets very quiet. I liked how the place is situated away from the main road that gets noisy. Thia also assisted me with the incoming and outgoing marshrukta bookings too. I felt part of family staying at the place and would highly recommend for everyone visiting Mestia to stay there

It was the best experience in all of Georgia. The lady, from the moment we entered the property till we left was very kind and helpful. She ensured that we were comfortable. Upgraded us to a warmer room as it was quite cold. She cooked us breakfast one day and let me tell you it was amazing. All home cooked Georgian food absolutely delicious. She even packed us breakfast next day as we were leaving quite early. The property is walking distance from the bus stop.

First of all, I want to say that the people in Svaneti are incredibly welcoming, open-hearted, and friendly. Thea greeted us warmly and offered numerous alternatives for our stay beyond what we had originally booked. She treated us to homemade cakes, kubdari, and various other delicious Georgian dishes. Throughout our visit, she took wonderful care of us, always concerned about whether we were feeling cold. Our room was cozy and warm, and if we needed extra warmth, she was more than willing to provide an additional heater. Thea and her husband also organized a fantastic trip around Mestia, guiding us to some breathtaking viewpoints. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again in the future.

Thea was a fantastic host. She was welcoming and offered suggestions on things to do. Her breakfasts are amazing and she was so helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mestia. When we left she gave us some Svan salt and goodies to take back with us. Thank you Thea!

Exceptional hospitality, very friendly and helpful with anything that you might need while staying there. Host is a local, she helped to find tours and eating places, things to do. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. Even offered her own made wine. Thank you very much, it was a big pleasure!

This place is everything you ever wanted a guesthouse to be! As many others already mentioned, the owner Thea is just incredibly good-hearted and funny, she is helpful and practical and speaks perfect English. It felt like home. Plus, she makes the best pastries.

The hospitality! Tea was sooo warm and so welcoming. I did the trek from Mestia to Ushguli. She provided helpful tips, also facilitated me storing my luggage in between. Would go again just to talk with her :)

That I had to say goodbye!

Data Guesthouse is a magic place! The Guesthouse is at the centre of Mestia (5 min walking to the main square). There is an amazing view, you feel the coziness since you arrive! The view is incredible. The cabins and rooms warm, extremely clean and comfortable. But this is not all. I want to talk so much about the host but I am afraid I will reveal a real gem in this world. Thea is a beautiful lady that she loves what she does and she gives more than she should to all of us! We loved everything and we loved Thea more. Thank you Thea! I feel lucky I stayed at Data Guesthouse and I wish Thea the best she deserves! Thank you again and I hope, I will be back to see you again Thea!

We could not imagine a more friendly, helpful and attractively located small hotel in Mestia. Minutes from the centre but quiet. Every need was taken care of - luggage storage, extensive free clothes washing after our trek (it was even put up to dry for us!), great breakfast (with no extra charge for a child). Every effort to make us feel welcome. The view from the common terrace is fantastic. We really hope to come back.

Everything was lovely!

No matter how many good things we write about Guesthouse Data and Thea — we can't say enough :) To start, the room is lovely, exactly as pictured, comfortable. Breakfast is delicious. The location is simply excellent — ever-so-slightly off the main street, so it's quiet and peaceful, but at the same time very easy to find/walk to. The view from the balcony is gorgeous. But absolutely, we were simply wowed by Thea. I'm convinced she can do anything. She arranged transport to Ushguli for us at an extremely reasonable price (they even picked us up directly from her place!). When we asked if there were any places to stay around the Koruldi lakes, she immediately had a lovely recommendation and helped arrange everything with the (also very kind) owner of this place. And many other similar moments. She was always available and happy to help, just such a positive person in general. Thank you Thea for a wonderful stay! We hope to come back next year :)
