Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe door to our room had frosted glass which led to some privacy but since the bed and the door faced the hallway directly it was a bit disconcerting there was no solid door.
Gio is a lovely host and the highlight of the stay is definitely his wine tasting, which is included in the stay. We were able to try four of his wines and 3 of his chachas, all of which were excellent! The room itself was cosy and quite quiet. It had everything we needed for our short stay.

United KingdomWe booked the cheapest room and it really was tiny. It was fine once we had unpacked, and it does have a large private bathroom, but be prepared for a bit of a squeeze initially: we wish we'd booked the bigger room
A fabulous house right in the centre of Sighnaghi. Gio is a real character, I highly recommend the tour of his wine cellar: as others have said it's really amazing. Just make sure you've left room for a few more glasses of wine and chacha when you start it!! We took a full day tour of Kakheti with Gio too and are really glad we did. It was a fabulous day and we particularly loved meeting Gio's friend Gia at his beautiful house and family wine cellar.

IndiaVery good view of the Sighnagi village from the room on the top floor. It's the house of the host Gio and he lives there. He is a super helpful, sweet guy. The rooms were comfortable, clean and warm. The location is very easy to find. If you have a car, you can park right in front of the police station/bus station in the town square just 50 meters away. Very good eating joints around this place too. Gio also offers wine cellar tours (he has one in the basement) for free. Very affordable, comfy, friendly stay. Definitely recommend!

IrelandWe loved everything.
We absolutely loved our stay with Gio and his family!! The location is perfect. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in in months. The breakfast was incredible - so generous and tasty! Gio offered us a free wine and chacha tasting and all his produces are delicious! He also drove us to Telavi for a very fair price - he can also organise a day tour around the vineyards. We will definitely stay with Gio again when back in Sighnaghi!

It felt like you were visiting family. Everything about my stay was memorable. Gio really goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable and enjoying yourself. his sister cooks an amazing breakfast (the pilmeni are SO good), and his wine cellar downstairs is also full of deliciousness. location was perfect for exploring any part of Sighnaghi.

United Kingdom- Room we had (4 person attic room) was freeeezing even when it was a sunny day outside and temperatures in mid-twenties (this is end of April), although plenty of blankets were provided so wasn't a problem sleeping - Persistent drain/rotten egg smell from bathroom
- Fantastic location, very central in Sighnagi - Great warm strong shower - Gio was friendly, spoke good English, plied us with wine and chacha from his cellar, and offered his services driving us to various vineyards (170-200GEL per day depending on route - Gio has a set route he recommends which takes you to some of the best vineyards in the region, and you may be able to share the car with other guests in the guesthouse) - All in all we felt it was amazing value compared to other options in the region Notes: - Gio and his family live on the ground floor, they then have a second floor of maybe 3-4 guest rooms with a communal lounge and terrace and then an attic room on top. We stayed for 2 nights, guesthouse was empty apart from us for 2 nights and had 1 other guest for 2 nights (this is end of April) so can't say how crowded/lively it may feel with more guests - Breakfast (optional, additional cost 15GEL pp per day) changed slightly each day but was broadly fried eggs, dumplings (2 types - meat and cheese), bread and jams + tea or coffee - Although we were just 2 people we chose the bigger 4-person room in the attic for more space, private bathroom etc and felt this was good value:size ratio - Payment is only in cash

GermanyOnly two small improvements: The warm water is not super consistent and the coffee at the breakfast tasted burnt.
Very cozy place in the center of Sighnaghi, the whole family is super kind. We got a free winetasting and rich (but simple) breakfast for 15 GEL/person. Room was clean, well heated and comfy.

United Arab EmiratesLight wasn't working in my room. I didn't get to see the wine cellar below their home. Gio mentioned that his wine isn't ready yet though, so it was understandable.
Fantastic location! It's hard to miss because it's in the middle of the main street going to town, and it's walking distance from the bus station. House was clean, homey, and had a shared living room. The host, Gio, was hospitable, speaks English well, and toured me around the monasteries and wineries across Kakheti region.

SwitzerlandThe guesthouse is just a few steps away from the bus station. Gio is a really good host. He organizes trips to different wineries and monastries. He also has his own wine cellar, where you can try his homemade wine and chacha. The room is small but cosy. The bathroom is spacious with a great shower.

The guest house is extremely well located, close to the marshrutka station, very convenient if you have to leave early. The house has 3 floors. The room has a king size bed very comfy and the bathroom was outside, but it’s ok. All is very clean and you can enjoy the terrasse with a view to the city. The owner and his son are very welcoming and at night you can enjoy the wines tasting. Excellent Georgian wine, 100% natural

Czech RepublicThe window leads only to the corridor which makes it a bit harder to air it out. I opened the outdoor door too and it was fine.
Great place to stay for a solo traveller. Perfect, welcoming hosts who helped me also to book a seat in marshrutka on the way home (recommending). The house is quiet, has nice common room with a table, kettle, dishes. Bathroom is renovated and clean. Would stay again.

United StatesThe double room we booked was probably not big enough for 2 people and our packs, though there was ample common space to stretch out.
Nice guest house in a great location. We were given a lovely wine tasting in their in-house wine cellar with delicious homemade wines. Great experience!
