The rooms are not heated, so at the end of the season it can get pretty chilly, so take some warm sweaters with you :)

Paata is a lovely host. He doesn't speak English, but with google translate it's no problem. It feels like you're part of the family with dinner and breakfast. They give a time for breakfast and dinner and serve whatever it is they are making, but it's always delicious.

    Having to say goodbye!

The most lovely tusheti family. Mama and papa bear will look after you so well here! Amazing hospitality - the breakfasts and dinners were always a delicious surprise. Everything was easy to arrange, the hosts were very accommodating. I was able to leave some of my stuff there while hiking for a few days. Miss this place so much already. See you again one day I hope!

electric sockets were not working at night but maybe it was a malfunction somewhere else I didn't ask

Nice house in lower Omalo. Got 2nd floor so the view was very nice. Although beware stairs are steep. Could make myself some tasty tea. Parking for moto good. Was even helped with WD40 spray as my starter button was playing up - thank you! Definitely a good place to stay. Hot shower and good warm beds.

Bring some earplugs if you're noise sensitive (you can hear neighbours inside and dogs/chickens/other animals outside)

Guesthouse with soft bed, hot shower and tasty homemade breakfast and dinner - a perfect combination you need for hiking in Tusheti. The host is incredibly nice and helpful, he gave us recommendations for good hikes. We felt like at home here!

We had an amazing and relaxing few days and we admire Paata for providing such luxury in such remote place. Besides sleeping very well, we were also enjoying healthy and very tasty home cooked meals. We just wish we could stay longer.

Tusheti is such a special place and staying in this beautiful, traditional house just made our experience even better. The food was great, the views were amazing and I just can't wait to go back there for longer. My favourite place in Georgia.

I totally enjoyed my stay at Guesthouse Javakhe because of the beautiful mountainous surroundings, the guesthouse with its chalet style construction and above all the friendly welcoming family host. I would recommend this guesthouse without any hesitation.

We loved our stay here. It's a nice cozy and private guesthouse. The owner and his daughter are really friendly and always willing to help and make you feel the most comfortable. We spent 4 nights here and we felt right at home. The breakfasts and dinners they offer are completely worth the money, the breakfasts have all the nutrients and flavours you need before starting on those long hiking days and the dinners are warm and send you with a happy belly to sleep! Will definitely recommend!!!

Country style guesthouse, the house is made of wood and has 3 floors. We really enjoyed ourselves and the owner of the guesthouse was very nice and welcoming. We were at the beginning of summer, so it was still cold, and there was no possibility to heat the water in the shower because the electricity in all the villages in the area runs on solar energy and generators. The room had 3 beds and was spacious enough for us. Thank you! :)

Georgian hospitality is at its best in this family run guesthouse. The family is so welcoming and helpful. The homemade food was excellent. The log house is beautiful, very clean, and well kept. Nice view. Quiet. Good wi-fi, what is important here in the mountains. Everything is run sustainable, as everything here.

Unfortunately the facilities were much worse than the 2 other places we stayed in Omalo at the same price. For 4 days there was no water during the day. Although this was not a problem anywhere else at the time in the village. If you want to use the toilet, wash your hands or drink water you had to ask for the water pump to be switch on, wait several minutes and most of the times this resulted in brown dirty water. there was only hot water for showering between 6-9pm so really inconvenient after a hike. You had to shower before dinner. Water pressure was very poor and water was luke warm The other major problem was the noise in the guest house. It’s more like a shack made of wood so floors creek very loudly with every move a person made. There was a lot of rooms on the same floor sharing toilet so if you were unlucky for people to go to sleep after you or wake up earlier you’ll be sure to be waken up by the noise too Horseriding was more expensive than other places

Great views from terrace. Comfortable beds. Sockets in the room. Met some cool people

Very challenging for anyone who is a light sleeper, you can hear everything going on in the house and many travellers coming and going. The most popular guesthouse so quite busy. Also challenges with water pressure and showers, but being high up in the mountains one can expect such luxuries to be just that.

Lovely welcoming family who do their best to accommodate all your needs. The mother also offers lovely Georgian home cooked meals for additional costs
