Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThis is a family-run business and they really make you feel at home; everybody is extremely welcoming. The house is located about 12km from Vardzia, so it is very convenient. We had the best dinner/breakfast ever, we were also served home-made wine. Natalia goes above and beyond to provide the best experience and prepares fantastic meals; she also helps with the translation. Highly recommended.

PolandThe road in the Village to the place is not the best, you need to drive very carefully if its dark and you may have problems to find it.
A very beautiful place with lovely and helpful owner. Its not a typical guesthouse, its more a bigger traditional family home what makes it even more special and authentic. Rooms are comfortable, the views are beautiful and the breakfast is the Best we have eaten in Georgia. We wish we could stay longer.

New ZealandOur room was cold and needed a heater.
A charming homestay in a quiet rural location. Our room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. We really enjoyed the breakfast, which comprised a range of delicious homegrown and homemade items, including the milk, cream, cheese, preserves, bread, etc. It was such a treat eating that lovely food on the upstairs balcony, overlooking the valley.

It was an absolute pleasure staying at Mtkvari. Everything is super clean, Natalie and her family create a very welcoming and heartwarming atmosphere. Natalie is going above and beyond and their family business is really down to the roots perfect. The breakfast mostly consists by their own products and tastes amazing. We would totally book again and we even thought about extending our stay because we felt so welcomed.

ItalyWhen you stay at Mtkvari you are not simply staying in a guest house, but stay in close contact with a beautiful and friendly family. You can enjoy their nice backyard, play with their dog and cat, see the cows going out in the morning and back at night. If you can, ask them to cook a dinner for you so to experience a real Georgian meal. Cheese, milk and confiture are home made with the milk coming from their own cows....and try the homemade vodka!

FranceThe road to access is a little bumpy but not a problem if you drive very slowly, we managed without any problem and we didn’t have a 4x4
We could only stay for a night at Mtkvari guesthouse and wished we could have stayed longer. Perfectly located to go visit Vardzia caves early before too many people arrive. The family are the sweetest people, they welcome you so warmly. I can only recommend to stay there. The food was just incredible I strongly recommend to book a dinner with them as well. You will get to try some of the best regional dishes made with the freshest ingredients. Home made cheese, wine and vegetables from the garden. It was the best guesthouse of our trip in Georgia in the space of 3 weeks.

Note the bedrooms are not ensuite but that was not an issue. The location is very peaceful and the view from the balcony really nice. We wished we had stayed longer.

ChinaQuaint rural backwaters, though, deeply hospitable people! Homemade breakfast was super nice. A beautiful yard with many kinds of plants. Our room is spacious and super clean. We did feel like we were visiting a friend's or relative's. Regarding the location, the GPS coordinates on the booking confirmation would be much more useful instead of the name of the guesthouse. Highly recommended! If we had another chance to visit there, we would definitely choose this guesthouse again!

GermanyNothing. Of course, such an accomodation is not an hotel. Maybe you will miss some standards, but that doesn't matter compared with all the nice and beautiful things you will see there (the roses, the animals, dog, cat, quite unspoiled nature a.o.)
You stay with the host family in their farm house, an extraordinary experience! Somewhere in the nowhere. Large old-fashioned and charming rooms. Lovely hosts (Tatjana, Koba a.o.). Excellent food. This is the best way to get in contact with "natives" and experience their life and hospitality. Soon again!

CanadaNothing, we had no complaints. We should have stayed more than one night!!
Natalie and her family were great, the breakfast was the best Georgian guest house breakfast we had, all the food was prepared by hand, even the butter, yogurt, cheese, jams etc. The location is a farm with a very nice garden around it. You do need a car to get here as it is off the road to Vardzia about 11km away. Lovely cat and dog, both were very friendly and cute.

RomaniaThe family with whom we stayed was very nice, they offered us both tea/coffee when we came in the evening and breakfast in the morning (which was exceptional). The rooms themselves are also nice and were clean. The whole stay kind of felt like a visit of your distant relatives, in a good way. They also have a very nice dog Bubu.

NetherlandsAll was great
If I could rate this guesthouse any higher we surely would. We had an absolutely amazing stay and it was with a heavy heart leaving. When arriving we were welcomed by the entire family. Natali is a superb cook, serving traditional Georgian food that is all home made from the garden. Koba shared with us his home made wine and vodka and together with his wife Angelina gave us a look into the traditions of a Georgian home. The guesthouse is close to Vardzia, only a few minutes drive. When visiting I wholeheartedly recommend staying here to experience the real Georgia. Gaumarjos!!
