Extraordinary place. Nice comfort for the area, very good location for mountaneering ski. Amazing and healthy breakfast and dinner. Always a supra, always different, full of vegetables, carbs and proteins. Fantastic red natural wine and chacha served by the great Chachaman

The food was unbelievable. We stayed here for three nights and the wife of the family kept cooking us up these insanely delicious Georgian meals. There was something completely different for each breakfast and dinner. The location for ski touring is great too. Truly ski in and ski out. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Can’t depend on the WiFi but honestly the village is so quaint and beautiful to explore there’s no time to use the WiFi anyway!

This is my second time staying in this guesthouse. Very cosy guesthouse in the middle of Ushguli. Comfortable and warm rooms with a shared bathroom. Loved the dinner and breakfast on offer (30 GEL per person for dinner and 25 GEL for breakfast) - it was delicious and very filling. Highly recommend.

As the name says this place is an authentic Svanetian house which even has its own stone tower that can be climbed if one is not afraid of height. The family is extremely helpful, the breakfast superb. A great place with a wonderful atmosphere, of course with limited comfort as it is a century old stone house. But everything is very clean.

A cozy little village with beautiful hikes nearby. The Old House was very comfortable and cozy. We got a tasty homemade breakfast in the morning.

We visited Tbilisi, and hiked from Mestia to Ushguli, but never had such delicious food. I strongly suggest to have dinner there. We forgot to say that one of us is vegan. They provided us additional vegetable food. The hosts are very generous and welcoming. Inside of the house is full of interesting decorations, we have not seen elsewhere. If we visit Ushguli, we will definitely stay in Old House again.

We loved it. But be warned. You’re staying at a fully authentic Georgian mountain village including power cuts, cold water, muddy roads and cow poop right outside the door.

Staying in a Svan Tower in Ushguli ist a one in a life time experience. It feels so authentic. The breakfast is amazing and the family super kind.

It’s the brilliant place to stay in Ushguli. I felt like I was visiting my family. Siblings are amazing! As the parents are :) Highly recommend to have a dinner and breakfast, it’s all natural, homemade, the cuisine of the Mother of the house is incredible, makes you happy. You can see how the cheese is being made and how the cows are going to the fields in the morning. You can also buy beautiful wood art work made by the Father. We are happy that we had a chance to meet this beautiful family 🤍

You can hear a bit your neighbors room

Great location in the world heritage village. The food is really good but a pricey compared to other places in Georgia. The family is very nice and organized for us to get a cake from Mestia to celebrate a birthday. The room are nice and the beds are comfy.

Good location,very nice atmosphere. Family running the place is very friendly and welcoming (and speak English). The room was big enough, the bed was very comfortable. I recommed ordering a breakfast! It might be the best we had in Georgia.

This place was wonderful! The room was small, but very warm and confy, just what we needed after 4 days of hike. There is also an nice common area. Good wifi, nice hot shower. Just in the middle of the towers, the location is great! The host are the best. All of them are very kind. The couple does not speak much english, but always smiling and being helpful. The daughter speaks very good english and can help you with any doubt. And the foood! It is a feast! Everything just delicious! We loved this place!

The guesthouse was full with 12 guests but with one bathroom. It is pretty crowded to have one bathroom for so many people. Dinner was good and enough with protein serving. However, we had much better food on the trek in other guesthouses.

Owners operators are helpful, pleasant and accommodating. The property is clean and welcoming. Very close to the center where all the cafes and bars are. They even have their own defense tower that we have visited. They serve dinner and breakfast for additional fees and best of all they have their own transportation van that takes you to Mestia. It was very convenient and fast.

The shower and toilet facilities are on the fish floor for all the guests which might be crowded, but was not an issue for us

We did the Mestia - Ushguli trail, Old House was one of the best places we stayed at. The hospitality of the family, kindness and care for the guest is remarkable. They arranged the transportation for us back to Mestia, and cooked the most delicious dinner on the trail despite the challenge of no electricity for half a day due to the road construction. We felt like a part of the family - HIGHLY recommended!

Only the last 50m to the place where a little rough, but we are here for adventure so we didn’t really care

We had a wonderful time. The road to the place was a little bit hard. But we had a 4x4 so it was no problem. We had diner and breakfast at the place, it was one of the best diner/breakfast of our trip. Really delicious!! I would highly recommend this place
