Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Fair price for okay room with basic bathroom. Good location, everything is close by walk. Airport transfer available.

It was too noisy at night. Some people were discussing something and the walls are too thin. This is the only downside.
Great location - 5 minutes from the railway station and the city center. Reception 24/7. Kitchen with all apliances - mircowave oven, gas, silverware, hot water.

mattresses are good but the bed skeleton almost feels broken from the sides.
location is perfect, very close to the centre and all main attractions. room was clean, shared toilet is good but sometimes quickly got unclean because of other guests.

The location is good. We stayed in a private room for two people and shared a bathroom with the other guests. The hostel is very simple but had all we needed. Good value for money! There's also a shared kitchen which I found to be clean and very useful during our stay!

The wi-fi in the basement was almost non-functional. The shared bathroom needs improvements

The kitchen is very small, dishes not very clean, bathrooms slightly dirty I thought that climbing to the top bunk bed was UNSAFE. There is nothing secure to hold with your hands as you climb up or down. That seems to be because the wooden 'box' around the bed prevents gripping the metal frame with hands

They upgraded the room on the first day. It was a private room but it wasn't in a good condition. It smelled of humidity and musty.
Located 5 minutes from the main square. The dorm and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Many restaurants around.

No breakfast (despite being mentioned) and coffee only provided as a special favour. Would advise you to bring own teabags. Bit noisy at night because there's a loose speedbump on the street directly outside so every time a car goes past there is an allmighty clunk.
Comfortable and good-sized hostel - at least I was lucky that the dorms weren't full. There are decent communal spaces (especially the balcony in summer) and security with luggage lockers in dorms.

-All the couches are facing to the center in common area creating a lack of privacy vibe -There's white lights everywhere which are SUPER strong and stress you out and create sleep issues -showers were really badly maintained, a shower head exploded in my hand, the clothes hanging hook was broken, the drain was flooded, etc -curtains let all the light come in so it's like you sleep in the streets -noone informed us about the fact that there was a terrace we just discovered it spontaneously (second time i am in the hostel) -no elevator 2 sets of stairs -beds are too narrow -rooms have no wardrobes so you have to throw everything in the floor making a mess out of the little space you got
