Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaWe stayed at the OldHut for a night. It was really good. Clean, beautiful views and warm. It was homely. There is a restaurant as well by the end of the street.

EstoniaThe place was dirty, we found a bunch of hair just next to our bed on the ground! The dining table was sticky. Bathroom smelled really bad and the shower was not inviting at all. Also the kitchen cupboards were not working correctly. The kettle didn't work. One single bed had a huge whole in it.
Location was exceptional 👌

KuwaitThe stairs were a bit dangerous especially that I had an infant so to carry her up and down on the stairs which is too steep and doesn't have any rails was a bit uncomfortable.
Great location and very nice interior. It gives a very suitable atmosphere for a mountain stay. It has 3 bedrooms which are enough for 5 people at least. Happy with the stay!

United StatesI did not like the stairs to the second floor they were too steep for my parents and that is why they slept on the couch downstairs. There is not bathroom upstairs, so everyone had to climb downstairs to go to the bathroom and wake everyone because of one skweaky stair.
Beautiful view to the mountain. Wished the view was straight from the bed but you have to get out and sit on small terrace or porch. There is an electricity pole right outside that somewhat obstructing the view but we still enjoyed it. The host was very accommodating and friendly, very responsive to the needs of the guests.

BelgiumThe bathroom and hut in general are a bit outdated and in need for small renovations. During our stay the shower curtain fell down of the ceiling and the toilet flushing system stopped working properly. This was never our intention since we just flushed it but the owner started raging and discussing through whatsapp to us, telling us that we ruined the whole toilet and we would need to pay to fix the already crappy toilet… in the end we easily fixed the toilet ourselves... This kinda ruined our stay.
Great location on top of the hill with a beautiful view over the valley. There is a nice restaurant and coffee bar close by the hut which was really great. The hut was very cosy with descent beds, great for 4 - 5 people.

GermanyThe territory is not fully private. The house located in the same plot of land as the owner house. The main entrance to the site is shared between two houses. The house has a steep ladder that might be dangerous for elder people and young kids.
The owner was very welcoming. She helped us with the accommodation and a few things along our stay. The house is clean. The kitchen is fully equipped. The house has a good porch where you can sit sipping your morning coffee. Things to note if you traveling by car - there is no asphalt road in front of the house. When we were there, the road was washed out. If you have a regular sedan without AWD, it might be challenging to drive right to the house.

United Arab EmiratesNothing much, didn't like the access to the first floor it was little unsafe for the small kids like 3 year olds and the kids were going up and down all the time.
It was a cozy little hut in the middle of mountains. The kitchen was well equipped, we only stayed for 2 nights, would love to stay more during summer time when it would be all green.

Israel1) The stairs to get up to the second floor is basically a ladder. It is NOT suitable for young children or older people. It is Extremely dangerous and if you sleep-walk at night......DO NOT STAY HERE!!! 2) There is 1 toilet and it is downstairs. If you have a weak bladder and need to go to the toilet at night, remember point #1 and consider that going downstairs requires ladder climbing. 3) We arrived with a load of washing only to find that the washing machine was broken. The owner ( who lives next door to the old Hut - in a concrete house) , did not tell us, and after loading up the machine and turning it on, we found the water pouring out. There was NO option of doing washing elsewhere. 4) I am not sure whether this is always the case, but it seems that for the whole area there is no water and no electricity from midnight until 0600 in the morning. Get your showers and washing up in early and go to bed!
The view is amazing. It is located almost at the South Eastern most point of Kazbegi, up on the opposite hill to Gergeti Trinity Church, and facing Mount Kazbech. It is a little cottage with 2 bedrooms upstairs and an open room ( Kitchen, dining area and lounge ) downstairs. There is also a Bathroom/ toilet/ shower downstairs. Outside is a large garden with some benches and a BBQ. It is pretty overgrown. Outside the front door is a nice porch with 2 little tables and 4 chairs. There is also a small balcony on the roof connected to the master bedroom.

PolandHouse is poorly insulated, so nights are cold inside - bring some warm clothes. Wi-Fi did not work during our stay, but we didn't need it that much, so it wasn't a big problem. One of the beds has a damaged frame; we had to provisionally repair it a couple of times, so that we could sleep on a straight mattress. Bathroom wasn't the cleanest, with many random objects in the drawers - we could find old cleaning gloves but not additional toilet paper. On top of that - bedroom setup does not look like on pictures at all, probably beds were changed after taking photos. Everything looks way better on pictures than in reality, but it was a good place to stay nonetheless.
Apartament was cozy, with well equipped kitchen and amazing views on nearby mountains. Surroundings were quiet, apart from some livestock noises (but that's a part of the charm). The host was very friendly and open for contact - in case of any emergency she lives next door and responds quickly via WhatsApp. Duvets/blankets were very warm, which was a valuable asset - nights are pretty cold in the mountains :)

GeorgiaBefore we arrived in Kazbegi, we heard that there was a water problem the day before. I immediately wrote to the host and she said that the water problem was solved and was waiting for us the next day. We arrived she texted us that she did'n know we were going there that day (but I even texted the day before as I said) and no problem was solved, and when we told her that, she immediately rudely told us that if we didn't like it, we could leave the house, but coming from Tbilisi on such a long way, we couldn't physically leave, and my birthday was approaching, and we thought that we would spend one day on bought water, and as they promised, it would definitely come. The host herself was not in Kazbegi. Her doughter lived next door, she was really the sweetest girl, but her mother... two days passed in short, everyone promised us that water would come, but it didn't, then we accidentally heard that there was a service in Kazbegi that brought tons of water and filled the tanks, but our host didn't bother with that. She was worried and did not want to pay the minimum amount. When we asked for water, he called us unresponsively and rudely, and started cursing us and demanded to pay money and leave the house. It was a terrible experience. Ella is a horrible person and I don't recommend anyone to stay here. It is quite uphill and it will be difficult for you to walk even to the store without a taxi. There is nothing close.
Nothing
