Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The list is unending. inspite of taking a suite we were given a room on the lower floors (2nd floor) which was next to the main road. aall night and day it was really noisy and the window quality was so poor that we could here loud noises all night. the breakfast spread was the smallest that we have had in all of georgia in this category of hotel. the rooms were stark, even the kettle and cups were missing. they gave only 1 tea bag for a room with two. with paper glasses.
the location was fine and central.

There is no soundproofing at all in the room, all night you can hear the road or if there is a party nearby

The property is next to a bridge which has constant sounds of the traffic, the hotel claims to be a 5 star is nothing less than a 3-star. They play loud music and disturb the people.

I would have expected the Junior Suite to be in a better location where you were not against a main road. Sound was terrible

Extremely noisy, there is no sound insulation! You can hear everything that happening on the street and also inside the building - it doesn’t matter how many floors separate you from your neighbours

The best place I have stayed so far on my holiday. Room was very clean, bed was amazing and the staff is exceptional. And I had a delicious meal at the hotel restaurant.

There is nothing we did not like. The Theory Hotel is centrally located to everything. One little thing that might help, taxis got a little confused as the road frontage is not off Freedom Square but a narrow street behind. Not all taxi drivers speak English so having the location written in Georgian on the hotel's business card or a small map may help. Once we knew our way around it was not a problem though.
My husband was rushed to hospital on our second day of our week long stay, the staff at the Theory were amazing and so very caring. We would like to sincerely thank them all, and a special mention to David. I totally recommend everyone stays at the Theory, we will definitely be going back and staying again.

Breakfast spread was very very limited in spite of telling them we are vegetarian nothing was done , and they named non veg tart as veg after having a bite I spite the tart and showed the staff , still they say it’s mushroom for meat

Didn’t have my room ready, had to pay an extra $200 usd for the executive suite just to have someplace to sleep the first night. The restaurant on site doesn’t have bad food, but it’s heavily overpriced for what’s offered. For example, their lobiani goes for 15 lari when you can get the same thing from a bakery a block away for about 1/3rd of that. The location is good, but there’s other hotels around freedom square at the same price point, don’t think I’ll be staying here again.

The location was great, only a few minutes from everywhere. The staff were so friendly specifically Tamari at the reception. She is very helpful and always willing to help. A great personality to have at the reception and I'm sure all guests appreciate her
