Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceI could tell that it was in process of evolution so I think it can get better. I think that the staff should be more present. There was never anyone at the reception desk and when I asked to to be given a towel or even to rent it, the guy told me there was no towel. But after I had asked him, I had to go back to him to ask again while he was chilling with his friends. He never came back to inform me. The kitchen was quite clean but the rest of the hostel and especially the bathroom fo my room, no. Maybe shower curtains should be bought so that water doesn't fall out of the shower, and clean more the restrooms (it's primordial)! Even the room floor... If all this cannot be done, then maybe the price should be lowered because it's equal price or even more expensive from other hostels I have in mind in with much better services. Thank you!
Nice project! Beautiful hostel with great graffitti on the walls and great location. The staff was very smiley and polite whenever I saw them but quite absent. The bed was comfortable and there was good vibes. I would recommend it but only if he improves certain things.

United KingdomI have stayed at many hostels on my travels and my impression of a hostel is that its a place with a buzz about it for folk to meet, and come and go freely...... We arrived in Point A Pitre late morning and made our way to the hostel to find a locked door - rung the doorbell to see if we could leave our things and then come back later to check in - no answer.... We arrived back just before 3, but still no answer until after 3. Once we got in everything was mostly fine, but (worryingly) in the evening after 8pm the doorbell rang (a few times) - no staff answered, so I'm presuming that whoever was trying to check in was left on the street to go find somewhere else to stay!! In the morning, we had to leave early to catch our Ferry, there was nobody on reception so we had no idea where to leave the key and the permanently locked door had been left unlocked (!?!!??!). So, I guess what I am trying to say is that if you are booking here you need to make absolutely sure you let them know exactly what your arrival plans are otherwise you might end up locked out as a permanently locked door and a 4 hour check in period isn't particularly user friendly! Also, some information/advertising leaflets about stuff to do would be handy for visitors just arriving on Guadeloupe.
Its super quirky decor, spray painted walls, mixed with old style furniture (It has tons of potential if given some maintenance and a wee bit of life injected into the place). We had a private room with a bathroom and a wee bonus balcony! The other guests made the place, got to know some lovely folk.

United KingdomThe key I was given didn't work and I got locked out. When I tried to call reception there was no response even though it should have been open. I was outside 20 minutes before another customer left and opened the door from the inside. The ventilation in the room was very noisy.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was ok. It is close to the ferry.

United KingdomNo toilet paper in any off the toilets on my floor.on both my stays. No mirrors in washroom. No mozzy screen/nets in dorm. On one ceiling fan worked in the 10 man dorm. The dorm was very hot, need stand up fans. Internet only works around office area, no internet on my floor. Security is a major concern. Main entrance has an electronic latch but this does not work. When going out you have to slam the door shut, this takes the force of a "Saturn V" rocket leaving the Earths atmosphere! Guests assume that slamming the door shut when leaving and entering means that the door locks but it does not, due to the faulty latch! Everytime I left the building or came back the door was open. Outsiders can and do enter the premises. This is not good! The hostel is expensive for what's on offer. I cannot recommend this hostel.
Good location. Has great potential of being a top hostel!

CanadaNo AC. Noise in the shared dorms facing the street. Old windows not fully connected to the wall and not entire closing makes the room really noisy. The top part of the wall separating the corridor and room seems incomplete. Hallways and stairwell quite dark. Simple bathrooms.
Central location easy to reach. All the necessities on the upper floor accessible to anyone.

Germanythe girl at the reception wasn‘t too friendly and didn‘t bother to speak English, even though my French clearly wasn‘t good enough to understand her. The rooms are very basic, with no AC but at least a fan and the bathrooms could use an update. Generally speaking it lacked all the things that make a great hostel such as lockers, additional hooks & power outlets, individual bedlamps, etc. no TLC whatsoever…
Guy made free dinner for the guests which was absolutely delicious.

NetherlandsI had limited interaction as my French is not so good. It was hard to blend in as almost everybody spoke French fluently. The hosts were also very to the point, but wouldn't take time to talk to you about fun things to do, nice hikes, etc. Especially for the non-French this would've been nice.
The style of the place is amazing. Art, cool industrial vibes, beautiful garden. It's an amazing space to be in. Nice kitchen to cook in, lots of places to hang back.

GermanyThe room and bathroom were setup in the cheapest possible way which wasn't reflected by the price per night. There were no lockers. Check in after 7pm costs extra but flights and ferries often arrive later than that. Lacking alternatives I'd stay there again, but for what's offered it's not worth what you pay.
The staff was friendly and helpful, terrace and kitchen were nice.

CanadaIt was difficult to get in. There were no instructions for arrival. We stood outside and knocked on her door until one of the other guests let us in. The room was tired. Needs paint, a deep clean, the smoke detector fell off the ceiling in the middle of the night. No towels (fair enough, it's a hostel). There was a LOT of noise outside, I think a carnival was on. Voices from other units were very clear.
It was centrally located. It was a decent size. The balcony was nice to get some air. Fan worked well.

FinlandThe room was a little messy (the trashcan in the room was full of trash, no soap). It was quite hard to check in and out, we did not get any info about checkin in and out. The front desk was closed when we arrived around 7pm, but luckily there was someone having a dinner who worked there. We don't speak French so it was hard to communicate, luckily there was a guest who spoke English and French so we got help from her. It was also confusing to check out - we left before the front desk opened so did not know where to leave the key. All in all it was okay experience. You guys should just add some info about check in and check out and make sure the rooms is properly cleaned. Otherwise it's very unique and nice place. Worked for us nicely for 1 night stay.

PortugalUnfortunately we didn’t notice that the check in was until 7pm. We received a message before with a lot of information but nothing about the check in and when we arrived the hostel was closed. We sent a message at the time, and in the day after because since we already paid for the room we would like to use the hostel to keep our luggage in the day after. But no one answered us at all. We know that we should have seen the schedule but at least we expected an answer from the hostel
