Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Arab EmiratesWe took the private room with the queen size bed unfortunately we couldn't sleep on it as the mattress was so uncomfortable and the metal inside it was reaching our back, we had to put clothes on the bed to manage to sleep. I don't think I had worse sleep in my life and we addressed the issue to the reception.
The staff was helpful and location was good.

United StatesThere's no breakfast available and about 10 people in a shared dorm room. The surrounding area was extremely sketchy and had multiple fellow travelers talk about being mugged outside the front door and one said they were robbed inside the hostel. The workers are doing what they can and are extremely nice and care for the travelers.
This was a very cheap hostel. The travelers and workers are very interesting and come from all over the place. Very close to a mini Mart

ItalyNothing to complain about really?? Great Hostel
I've been waiting to review. This is one of the best Hostels in Europe ( I travel a lot) clean, marble staircase, elevator ( I'm old ), beyond helpful, genuine caring staff ( professional compared to students run Hostels) Now the incredible rooftop that I will leave as a surprise for you, but great social and relax atmosphere. Kitchen ,laundry balconies. YOU HAVE TO CHECK OUT THE PRIVATE SUITES. What you would pay €2, 300.00 they rent for € 60 to €80 ( not greed, just want them rented. Smart business owners. Affordable!!! I came for a day and stayed 7 because I could afford to regroup, relax which I needed. Best Hostel in my 3 months traveling so far. A few blocks to major transit hub . Train / bus / metro lines

AustraliaShowers had only fogged glass between them with flimsy curtains so you could easily see others in the shower (and vice versa). Aircon wasn't very cold and beds were absolutely crammed into the room so close to one another, it felt like sleeping on a double bed with strangers.
The staff were super friendly and helpful. It is close to the train and bus stop so you can save money by not being so close to the center but still super easy to get around. Very lovely rooftop and courtyard area. Big lockers to lock away your stuff, even big bags.

ItalyThe staff is really good and welcoming, but, unfortunately, we had booked more beds in only women dormitory, than the ones that they actually gave us. Anyways the real problem is the fact that we couldn't sleep because it was extremely hot and the other guests weren't quiet enough during the night. They kept our room's door open and continued chatting loud and cooking.

PolandThe staff seems a little overworked, the wifi is not always good at the rush hour and ofttimes the lift is broken which makes you scurry up and down several flights of stairs (the hostel spans six floors). The kitchen has all the necessities but could do with literally one more pot and pan and chopping board and knife. Plastic cutlery is a minus in style.
I stayed in three hostels in Athens and this was by far the best one. Has everything it needs and for the best price. The terrace on the sixth floor is the jewel in the crown, has good people and a magnificent view, you can hardly get a better one in the middle of Athens. There is also a common space The place is big, people coming and going, but always someone to hang around with. The staff is generally friendly.

United StatesThis place is huge! There are so many bunk rooms but I never had to wait for the bathroom. The roof top is an amazing addition. There are elevators to help navigate the 9 floors. It’s more like a college dorm than any hostel I’ve ever been to. The beds are really packed in.

United KingdomWhich brings me to my next one. While I do appreciate the number of them, I did find it interesting how showers weren't separate, so it sort of felt like a Uni accommodation. Also, when I saw the room, I was wondering if I was given the right place, and I kept wondering that every night. It felt like I was sleeping in a tent, in some festival event. Can't say I've slept in a room with beds arranged like this, not the best when people snore or sound like they're choking in their sleep around 2-3am. The wifi only seemed to work for me on the rooftop. And one night I came back after the reception people left, and I found the code to come in had been changed without being told about it. Luckily, someone came down to buy a drink from the machine, otherwise who knows what would've happened.
I think the only thing I liked about this is the rooftop, where you can see the great surrounding spots, like the Acropolis and the Hill. And maybe that it has enough toilets/bathrooms/showers.
