Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe overall cleanliness of the space, and the facilities could be upgraded (more showers at disposal) to allow for a more comfortable and enjoyable stay!
I had a great time at the Acropolis View Dream Hostel. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and nice, the room was comfortable with an air conditioner at its disposal, and the rooftop terrace was super, especially at sunset. I very much enjoyed my stay, a stay which far exceeded my expectations given the price point.

SerbiaThe ugliest hostel and the worst “communication” I’ve ever had with booking accommodation!!!!!!!!!!! I paid nothing, literally!!!!
I wouldn’t recommend this Hostel to anyone. I wrote them about my arrival time and when I got at the location nobody was there, nobody answered on interfon and also on the phone. So I waited for more than one hour and as still nobody appeared I had to change the accommodation. And not only that beside their really unprofessional behavior I couldn’t refund my money. Also from the outside , as I could see only that, looked so bad and dirty, like a garage not like hostel. Nobody called me back to check what happens and they had my calls and even messages before my arrival. Don’t go there the worst expirience I’ve ever had with booking accommodation!!!!!!

United StatesThe smell upon entering should have given me a hint as to the conditions of this place. Bathrooms never cleaned; toilet paper wasn’t refilled until so many people complained about it. I avoided the bathroom as much as I could because of the amount of hair and trash on the ground. For the amount of people in the hostel, the bathroom sizes were completely inadequate: one toilet and 2 showers for all girls on our floor, but several for the males? I was told upon arrival there weren’t enough bed sheets for my bed and that they would be brought to my room within the hour. I went sightseeing in the meantime. Bed sheets were never given. I had to go behind the reception desk myself to get the last top sheet available. Mattress covers ripped to shreds. The only thing missing was a cockroach, though if one had shown up I wouldn’t have been surprised.
The hostel is cheap. For what I paid, I shouldn’t have expected much.

SingaporeNeighbourhood was slightly sketchy at night. Wouldn't recommend for safety. Also requested a single gender room but was not allocated one. Doors are also not locked and anyone could take any bed when the staff were not around

FranceFor a place that stayed closed for 3 years just to reopen 1 week before our stay, you'd think it'd be better prepared. Nope. The big lack of organization from their part (basically no control of check-ins and outs, overbooking problems, changing of rooms in regards to what you reserved...) was the main thing that gave us a big headache. To be fair, they did reimburse us for most of the price we paid. Just hope they can get it together at some point... Wishing genuinely good luck.

TaiwanTerrible hostel experience. I already checked in at 3 pm in the afternoon. I came back at night and found someone sleeping in my bed. Hostel puts two persons in one single bed. Then they just work at 10 am to 9 pm. No one can't deal with it. They don't respond to messages or phone calls. They don't refund money and don't reply. Worst hostel experience ever.

MayotteWhere do I even begin with this unforgettable disaster of a hostel experience? My stay at this hotel felt like a bizarre episode of a Big Brother reality show gone wrong. Let's start with the star of the show: the room. Upon arrival, my heart sank as I realized that the room I had booked bore no resemblance to the glossy images displayed on Booking.com. It was so small, I felt like I was staying in a shoebox. Shoebox which was built in the middle of the rooftop. Rooftop?! Sounds fancy, right? Wrong! I quickly discovered that this place served as a gathering spot for most hostel guests. From morning till night, their chatter and laughter seeped through my windows, eradicating any hope for rest. Privacy? Forget about it! Rooftop visitors could freely gaze directly into my room. I had to keep the curtains always down to avoid feeling like a main attraction in the human aquarium. To make matters worse, there was only one socket in the entire room. Yes, you read that right. One sad power socket. So, if you're traveling with a partner and both of you have electronic devices, good luck charging them simultaneously. It's a true Darwinian struggle, my friend! And the cherry on the top: the "private" toilet. Picture a claustrophobic space with zero ventilation, conveniently located outside your room in the public corridor. All in all, my stay at this hotel was a masterclass in disappointment. If you're a fan of tight spaces, lack of privacy, limited power sockets, and dodgy surroundings, then this is your paradise. But for the rest of the people seeking comfort, privacy, and a touch of sanity, I suggest looking for accommodation elsewhere. May your future adventures be blessed with roomy accommodations, unobstructed vistas, and the sweet sound of silence. Safe travels!

GreeceThis hostel ticks all the right boxes for a comfortable and convenient stay. The beds are comfortable and provide a good night's rest. The air conditioning is effective, which is especially important during hot summer nights. You won't have to worry about running out of outlets to charge your devices, as there are plenty throughout the room. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. Overall, a great option for travelers looking for a comfortable stay without breaking the bank.

United KingdomThe location was not great. I was warned immediately not to go out alone. My room had the bathroom fan in it, which was noisy (I wear headphones to sleep so wasn’t a problem as such for me but can imagine for some maybe!) I had a double private room, but one bed had the worst mattress ever. Again, not a problem as one was useable. No doors on the showers, just a curtain. All unisex. No shower head holder, so you had to hold the shower head to wash, And the curtain. (On arrival) Overheard one girl from a dorm just say she was leaving as noisy all night.
The staff stayed up for my 2am expected arrival, but actually it was more like 3am due to ferry delays. Which was nice to see a friendly face after a long journey and in the early hours of the morning! The woman was lovely and helpful and very kind. The room was clean, large, with aircon and decent enough wifi. Kitchen had most things you would expect. Short walk to the underground to get you to centre.
