Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanWifi spotty at times, maybe due to location of the room more on the edge of the building.
Large and yummy breakfast. Hospitality of the owner and staff. Decoration, amenities, and location just a two steps from the beach, shops and restaurants.

CanadaNothing to complain about.
The room was very comfortable. The maid service is remarkable leaving our room spotless. The view of the surrounding mountains was very nice and the overlooking of the pool was beautiful, The breakfast was great. Each day we had eggs made to our liking, yogurt with honey and walnuts, Croissant and breads pastries and many fruits along with freshly squeezed orange juice. It was too much but hard to resist. Of the 6 nights we were there we had dinner there 4 times and it was probably the best food we had. Dimitry and Eleni along with there wonderful staff treat you special all the time. It is a family run business and they truly care to give you the most wonderful experience. Sad to leave.

United KingdomA very personal dislike, but we didn’t like the music at the bar (commercial radio type of music). More neutral background music (lounge playlist) would be more appropriate in my opinion. But this is down to taste more than anything else.
Spacious and clean rooms. Fantastic and varied breakfast, they went above and beyond to accommodate our likes and dislikes (we are vegetarians). We have the tastiest tomato fritters on the island here. The property offers a lot privacy. (For those who haven’t travelled to Santorini yet, privacy isn’t guaranteed in most hotels as public paths snake through even the most expensive of hotels). Dimitri and his family run a tight ship and take a lot of pride in their work. Home away from home!

RomaniaThe price for the taxi from and to the airport , 30eur for 2,5 km, too much for my pont of view. This we don't like... And maybe it is good to provide cosmetics with place label, like vanity kit, soap, paper towel, sewing kit....
Location not too far to the beach, easy to reach with the car, fabulous breakfast, nice and big room, we like the pool and the jacuzzi.

IrelandIt wasn’t a didn’t like and we didn’t mind them at all but the airport is very close so aeroplanes go quite low over the hotel regularly.
The location, the cleanliness, the food and the staff - the breakfast is exceptional and the staff will assist with anything you need.

GermanyOur stay at Amara Suites in Santorini was nothing short of magical, and it’s easy to see why this family-owned property has earned such a stellar reputation. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel like part of the family. The personal touch that comes from staying at a family-run property like Amara Suites is something truly special, and it made our visit to Santorini unforgettable. The suites themselves are beautifully designed, blending traditional Cycladic architecture with modern comforts. Our suite was immaculate, spacious, and featured breathtaking views that left us in awe every morning. The attention to detail in the decor, from the plush bedding to the carefully chosen furnishings, made the space feel both luxurious and cozy. What really sets Amara Suites apart is the exceptional service. The family that owns and operates the property clearly takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every interaction. They went out of their way to ensure that our stay was perfect, from helping us arrange excursions and restaurant reservations to sharing insider tips about the best spots to visit on the island. Their warmth and attentiveness made us feel incredibly welcome, and we left with the feeling that we had made new friends. The location of Amara Suites is ideal—tucked away in a peaceful area, yet still close to the vibrant heart of Santorini. This balance of tranquility and convenience made it easy for us to explore the island’s beauty while having a serene retreat to return to each evening. The property also offers a shuttle service to other villages on the islands. The driver and his son are lovely, reliable and very helpful. In every way, Amara Suites exceeded our expectations. It’s the perfect choice for travelers who appreciate authentic hospitality, stunning views, and the charm of a family-owned property. We left with our hearts full and are already dreaming of our next stay.

United KingdomNothing.
Facilities and staff were amazing, especially Dimitrius who made us feel so welcome like part of the family. The whole team couldn’t do enough for us and was always so helpful with anything we needed, with it being our first time in Santorini. Rooms were always immaculate as soon as we left the hotel. We didn’t have to get taxis anywhere as Dimitrius would arrange a driver which was his brother and nephew which was a massive help as taxis can be very difficult.

Well what’s not to like?!!. Family run business with great work ethic & this was really telling in the way each member takes pride in their position at the hotel. We loved the privacy of this hotel, & I think with only around 20 suite occupancy you don’t get the hustle like in larger hotels. There wasn’t any noise from neighbouring hotels or from outside surrounding’s. The swimming pool and lounge area is Beautiful & peaceful & very private. Ample loungers for everyone!. The food was amazing, breakfast was a banquet every morning. Amazing homemade cakes & fresh yoghurt. Beautiful fresh fruit. We had something a little different everyday. Love ❤️ Lunch menu was great also & very reasonably priced & again ample amount of food. Our room was great!. Very clean!. We had our 12 year old daughter with us and had more than sufficient room space. The beds were very comfortable, clean and spacious & we all slept well. It was a nice touch the suite had the terrace with a jacuzzi overlooking the Pool area. Our room was cleaned and beds made everyday, clean towels provided for both showering and if you go to the beach. We thought the location was great, a few minutes walk to a local shop and to the beach. Restaurants along the beach front, many different restaurants to choose from if you eat out at night & all a short walking distance. The bus station is only 5-10 min walk if you want to visit other areas of the island. We were pleasantly surprised by the bus service. I think on the whole what really makes this hotel a stand out is Dimitris, his family and staff. They were so welcoming & great with our Daughter too!. They didn’t bother us when relaxing and when we needed anything it was no trouble at all!. They are genuinely the nicest people & we really recommend booking this hotel!. We will definitely book again! 😍

United KingdomInside the hotel everything was perfect. We hired a beach buggy for the day to travel around and although the hotel is perfectly situated to the beach, the street signs for each hotel could be much better. Google maps is great but not always right.
Incredibly personable service all the time - from the moment you arrive the reception like reconnecting with old friends! Our room was deceivingly spacious, in fact the bed was massive. I’m a light sleeper but slept like a baby on that mattress! I know doing chores is the last thing you want on holiday, but you don’t come this far to wear clothes that are creased up - the hotel feels the same and like any top notch resort has an iron and board in the room along with ample hangers! You will not find a better location to relax in the evening after spending the day exploring the island or walking along the beach front. Their food is always fresh (nothing is cooked from frozen unlike many if the restaurants on the beach) and the juice is not from a box either! The best part for me was waking up each morning and opening the bal only doors to the jacuzzi- then peering over to the always peaceful eating area below and swimming pool. Every room gives a right level of privacy but not hidden away. The room has decent coffee facilities are provided along with a fully stocked mini bar. A decent tv with Netflix also included and the shower room is spacious, practical and well designed. They say it’s the little things that make a holiday. My hubby is an F1 geek and not only did they have the TV set up for him, they even arranged the table setting so he felt like being at home 🤗 Tip for you all - unless your hiring a car (not worth it unless you really intend driving around most of the time) once you get your bags, contact Demetrius on WhatsApp (he will likely do it anyway) and have him arrange your transport to the hotel. It means you pay local rates €30, unlike the cost of most other things on the island. Considering the vehicle is a luxury Mercedes people carrier, you can’t go wrong!
