Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

When I asked for an extra blanket, it took quite a while and we had to call again for the delivery of the blanket. But it is okay... no big deal about that. Greeks are very patient people, and I have learnt to be patient too.
I like that Astor is close to everything in the city because it is located within the city.

The wifi problem was proobably that was the biggest disappointment, i cant believe in 2024 we still struggle to have this problem, my 73 year old dad was traveling first time to europe and everytime he got tired being a tourist there wasnt anything to do in the room whilst relaxing because neither the smart tv nor our phones would connect. The price although is perhaps because of the location doesnt provide the quality you would expect, which i heard seems the norm in athens because the city is a bit run down.
The location of the hotel is one of the reasons i booked the hotel, which definitely served me well and recommend it on that front for sure, its like 2 mins away from the most happening part of the city that goes straight to monasteraki square, super lively, tons of restaurants The location helped because when my aunt and cousins came back even at 11 in the night from monasteraki i wouldnt have to worry even though they were 3 women walking to the room

Hotel is a bit older so facilities are not as great. Closing the Rooftop after breakfast at 11 am and not letting guests stay to enjoy coffee and views of Athens.
Location and views of the Pantheon and Acropolis from room are amazing!

Stayed at an Acropolis frame room but the view of the Parthenon was partially obstructed by neighboring structures.
Buffet breakfast had great options and was on a high floor with a stunning view of the Parthenon

Elevator is very slow and takes a while to get to your floor. The location is on a major street so there is nightlife which can get loud during the night.
Clean, close to major attractions and overall a comfortable stay.

For a 4 stars hotel, the room, the bathroom and the balcony could have been given more attention cleaning before new guests arrival. The bathroom needs some updates, the shower enclosure allows a lot of water to spill out, the hair dryer is very outdated. The room is a triple, but the bathroom doesn't have enough towel racks or hooks for 2 people. There are no glasses in the room, nor in the bathroom, except a couple of paper cups for coffee maker. As a suggestion, it would be nice for the hotel guests to have access to the rooftop terrace after the breakfast is over.
The hotel is located in Syntagma Square, about 0.3 mi from the Parliament, close to many restaurants, stores and the tour buses stop within 3 min walk. The front view of Acropolis and the entire Athens from the rooftop breakfast room and terrace is breathtaking, as well as the view of Acropolis from our balcony & room on the 8th fl. The receptionists, the bartender, the breakfast staff who served a rich buffet and the cleaning crew were very pleasant and helpful. The location, the view and the staff are what we liked the most.

Room was a little dirty.
Great location!! Close to Acropolis, Parthenon, museums, restaurants, and shopping. Fun bartender and nice breakfast. Room was a little dirty, but nothing too bad. Would definitely stay again.

generally everything was fine the only thing the noise from the streets for the front rooms was sometimes a little bit high..

The rooms and bathrooms were too small.
The location was fantastic near Syntagma Square. There was a stunning view of the Acropolis from the top floor where breakfast was served. The staff were super helpful.

The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the size of our room. We booked a comfort room which is what I had booked before and we had a much bigger room and this time it was very small and for over 1000 euros I would have expected a bigger room.
I have started at Astor before and the service has been brilliant every time. Great location, friendly staff, clean. Modern hotel too.

Complimentary water was only for the first day. The pump for the body lotion in the bathroom was not working. Found a baby cockroach in bathroom sink on last night.
The location was perfect and could walk to most attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good for western standards. Room was good . View of acropolis during breakfast was simply breathtaking ❤️
