That said, the hostel lacked a social atmosphere, which made it a bit isolating as a solo traveler. There weren’t really any common activities or events to help guests connect. Also, one thing that made me feel uneasy was the lack of locks on the dorm room doors—while lockers were available, not having a secure door made me feel a little uncomfortable. Overall, it’s a decent place to stay if you’re after peace and privacy, but not ideal if you’re hoping to meet people or experience a community vibe.

The beds at Bedway Athens Hostel were super comfy, and I appreciated having my own personal space during my stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with any questions or directions. If you're looking for a quiet place to rest while exploring Athens, this hostel does a good job of providing a calm and relaxed environment.

Neo Kosmos is 2-3 km from Syntagma Square, the city's central square. It's not close to the main attractions, but the metro and tram stops are just a few meters from the hostel. It wasn't a problem but It's far to go by walk.

Very good organization. They contacted me the day before my arrival, giving me instructions for check-in. I was able to check in after midnight without any problems! The ferry arrived at that time. The receptionists were very kind. They have a WhatsApp group to connect with the guests you're sharing your stay with. The kitchen is fully equipped and is a great meeting place with other travelers. It has an internal patio. The overall cleanliness is very good. The rooms are quite spacious, with privacy for each bunk and plenty of storage space. The shower is spotless.

The location is a bit far from the main attractions, but the metro and tram are very close to the hostel. The staff was very attentive. The hostel's overall cleanliness was excellent, and there's a laundry service. I was able to check in after midnight.

I had the best sleep I've ever had in a hostel here. Comfortable, warm, private, and very clean and friendly. The bunks did not creak at all. Despite being on the upper bed, I had a spacious shelf for all my little bits and bobs, so I did not need to constantly go up and down between my bed and locker. A block from the nearest #2 underground station makes it well connected to the rest of the city.

The door didn’t lock which felt very unsafe, especially having booked the female only dorm but anyone could have walked in. Not a very social hostel, it was pretty quiet, but that didn’t matter to me.

Very comfortable hostel, the beds were good, common areas were small but good too. Bathrooms were nice.

Receptionist Honestly, the friends in the common room are very nice and it is very easy to start a conversation with them. I thank the managers and workers. There are no locks on the dorm doors! I heard several people talk about being robbed at night, and several people missed food they thought they had. The receptionists looked at the recorded camera footage and found that a Romanian guy who had stayed there one night previously would come in the early hours to eat food out of the fridge, sleep in a chair on the patio, and enter rooms to steal things. So, the codes don't seem to be changed often enough. But the big issue is that there are no locks on the dorm doors. The hostel closed for 11 days over Christmas, and they painted and did some other repairs, but they did not add door locks!

The 2 receptionists are very nice and helpful. Unlike many hostels, there is someone at reception from 9 am to 9 pm most days. The bathrooms aren't beautiful, but they're functional. The kitchen is adequate. The common area is really a kind of waiting room area, but there's a pation outside with tables and chairs.

For £11 a night it was brilliant.

It worked out to around £11 a night In January 2025. Very nice location just by the Metro so easy to travel around. Clean, well organised key pickup, nice kitchen and seating area. Nice efficient contact by WhatsApp. A very pleasant experience. Nice continuous hot water in showers.
