We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Cyprusalthough it is for 2 people there was only 1 chair! so you ether had to sit on the bed or take turns. there are not enough places for your clothes - there is plenty of wall space where they could easily put hooks so you can hand your coat etc. there was coffee & tea facilities but no tea or coffee! there is a TV - it wasn't working but i messed about with the antenna and it worked occasional but only got 3 channels!!
the area is perfect for sightseeing - u are bang in the Centre of the city. the apartment was newly renovated with a large comfy bed. the apartment manager is very good and the lady at breakfast - Anni is the best!! she is a huge help and wiling to help. the fridge had complimentary water, wine & juice which was a nice touch.

United KingdomNothing .
A last minute booking , close to everything , spacious and clean and coffee machine , water and bottle of wine a nice touch . Thought has gone into making the guest comfortable. The communication from the owner at short notice was also very helpful . Double glazed windows kept the noise out too. Breakfast was included at a cafe round the corner , simple but the service was friendly and quick . There was also lots of recommendations for places to eat and drink . Recommended

EstoniaThe apartment was in a very strange building, my husband said that we are in the old city and in the old part of the city and these buildings are like that here, but still an apartment building, with a nail salon on the first floor, a tattoo parlor on the second floor, a gold shop on the third floor, and the apartment we were renting was on the fourth floor. . they smoked in the stairwell of the house, although the windows in the stairwell were open and the stairwell was not directly filled with blue smoke, it felt as if there was somewhere in the slum where the neighbors of the house were sitting and smoking on the stairs. The staircase also looked rather dingy and unrenovated. The building had an elevator and it worked nicely. Another thing was breakfast- I had red reviews from here that it is very good- well, just to let you know that for breakfast there were different small pastries (4 pieces) and one piece of toast and one boiled egg, coffee and water - the same every day. The pastries were very tasty (spinach, feta, chocolate and apple) and fresh (baked every morning), but I personally get heartburn if I have to eat only pastry for so many days in a row. So at the end I felt the apartment was a bit overpaid.
The apartment had an absolutely excellent location - all important places were 5-15 minutes away from the apartment, the streets surrounding the apartment had many nice restaurants and shopping opportunities, a 3-minute walk to the metro station. The apartment was more or less designed: a stone floor, the design of the bathroom was rather pleasant, very blackout curtains that ensured a good night's sleep, the air conditioner worked well, it was also possible to open the window, the room was spacious as well.

Czech RepublicWe used this accommodation on our second visit to Athens on our way back to the Czech Republic. It was at a similar price as the first accommodation, but incomparably cleaner. We were given detailed information for the key collection, and entering the room was easy. The room was clean and spacious. The apartment had coffee, water, and a bottle of wine. The accommodation included breakfast at a nearby establishment, which started our day nicely. We also received much information about good restaurants, bars, and supermarkets. Centrally located, the apartment is within walking distance of all sights.

United KingdomBeing a suite there is no room service, so with it being Greece if you stay for more than a couple of days you find yourself having to walk through the city centre with a small translucent bag of toilet waste paper looking for a bin. The host did offer to accommodate by suggesting we could leave it outside, however I don’t think the other apartments would have appreciated it and thought it quite unhygienic. Lastly, maybe a matter of personal opinion but the bed was really soft to the point the sheet had to be secured back around the mattress in places due to the amount of give.
A very central location which is handy for walking to the sights, however be realistic about noise expectations of an evening in a city centre. Included breakfast is a good continental breakfast provided by a pizza shop a short walk away. Their pizzas are actually delicious too.

United StatesThere was shower gel and shampoo but no conditioner nor lotion. One ledge used for the shower toiletries looked very rusted. The hair dryer was plugged in a bit too close (IMO) to the shower opening and you could not move the dryer. The building/elevators are a bit rough-looking but that’s not unusual in Athens.
The location on the pedestrian-only section of Ermou was great if you want to be in the center of things. Directions to get the keys were excellent. The room was very nice. The owner also thoughtfully provided slippers (thin and flimsy but still useful!), water bottles, wine, outlet adapter, etc. They also included breakfast at their restaurant about a 3-5 minute walk away. The restaurant is also where they stored our luggage when we got there too early for check-in. Great for short-term tourists.

United KingdomThe toilet is not very private which is quite uncomfortable. The bottom half of the bathroom door should be completely covered.
The location was really nice and not too loud considering it was on the high street. The breakfast was nice and the coffee was one of the nicest we have had.

United KingdomJust one small thing really…… Bed sheets were not big enough, every time you moved around in the night then the sheets rolled up into a ball. Need them bigger so you can tuck them in. That’s all….
Location was fantastic, you could have an afternoon shower and be back in the center of everything within minutes…… I think our best sited hotel/room. Yes a bit of noise but you are in a capital city so you have to expect this. Food and shops all around you and walking distance for 90% of the attractions to see/ visit. Spot on

Russia1. With an early check-in, it is possible to leave your luggage and enjoy visiting the sights (everything is within walking distance); 2. Very hospitable and cheerful owner; 3. The apartments correspond to the photo, description. A nice bonus was miniatures with cold water, juices and wine (all for free); 4. We liked everything very much, we will gladly stay in these apartments again.
