We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelI stayed at this hotel a year ago and it was excellent. I was very disappointed this time: we ask for an extra blanket for a few times, the cleaning lady left behind the dirty glass and didn’t refill the coffee and the milk even though we were two they only put one small shampoo and one soap. There were a some black stains from water near the bathroom on the wood floor.

United KingdomWe were put in a wing of the hotel (not the main bit) that had no WiFi! The room was small and faced a Hertz rent a car, the room was tiny, the balcony was dirty (and it’s high season so it was not cheap!). Overall really didn’t enjoy it.
The location is nice for the Acropolis (but really busy!) Coco Mat Athens is not too far away in a lovely neighbourhood and just overall a better hotel! The only win here is the adorable turtles and the rooftop bar (view) for a drink.

United KingdomNoisy, with fake birds chirping, not for everyone. Poor acropolis view as an acropolis viewing room, which was also quite tiny. I think overall it was nice, but disappointing for the price. The breakfast was also average and we saw one of the kitchen staff eat a chip off our plate before being served.
The rooftop bar, staff were friendly and the place was very clean. I think the hotel has a good ambience, with nice touches of the drinks and slippers given at the start.

United KingdomI don't think their use of the term "Suite" is quite what I was expecting. While I expected a separate bedroom and living room, there was no separate living room, nor was the room particularly large to qualify as suite dimensions
The hotel location was excellent, but the pool was closed and the breakfast was limited. I was not impressed with the fitness facilities to the point that I did not even bother with using the Spa for fear of being further disappointed.

SerbiaI have been staying in this hotel since it opened, I just finished my stay and I want to tell you a few words about it. It is indisputable that this hotel has a perfect location, a view from the roof and a bed (coco mat), but the fact is that it is not a 5-star hotel, here's why, the hotel's content is very bad, the spa center can accommodate two people, which is funny sometimes you can't even get your turn for three days, the internet on the upper floors doesn't work well so you can often see people in the corridors looking for a signal, the mini bar has nothing on offer, the breakfast used to be good, now the quality of the same has declined, only a clean room is bad with the fact that they are also dilapidated and need to be renovated, simply the cro hotel, which was designed in the "cosi" style, is dilapidated and needs a renovation. To conclude, if you get this hotel at an ok price, around €100-120 per room, it is worth staying in it because of the location and the beds, you can find better hotels for anything over that price. I'm sorry that they allowed the standard of service to drop, we as a family are big fans of Coco Mat products, but the current state of service and appearance of the hotel is below the standard of this brand

ItalyThe rooms are very small. We found 2 black insects in the room on the wall above the bed. When cleaning our room staff took the access card we left in our room and another day the towel robes were taken and not replaced. Staff very overwhelmed at breakfast of the 1st of January. 10 minutes wait for a clean plate followed by another wait for glasses and orange juice. That is other than the wait when we first arrived as all empty tables needed clearing and cleaning. I would never stay there again.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and smooth. Location of the hotel is close to the acropolis - 5 minutes on foot. The lobby is beautiful and spacious. Good variety at breakfast.

Greecethe toilette room is extremely small almost dysfunctional for a person that is not petite. You are obliged to touch toilette wall and hit your head each time. Unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. the so called "city view" apartments have no view at all (as the hotel is surrounded with tall buildings, you have no view at all).
Great location, very good breakfast, very friendly staff

CanadaThe check in experience was excruciating. Why do I have to check myself in? You have all my details already and I had to a) connect to wifi b) use a QR code and then c) input every detail about me you already have. For some quirky “ticket” in my digital wallet I never needed. Plus, we rented this room for the rooftop amenities and they were closed. So not worth the money at ALL.
The view was great. Breakfast was ample. Bed was big enough.

GermanyService is not up to par for a luxury hotel. A lot of staff only speaks basic English and cant help with advanced requests. Then the food…too limited and hard to get anything to eat as a vegetarian or vegan that is not salad. Rooftop bar cannot even make Mojito. Thankfully there are a lot of places around to eat.
lovely spaces, rooms are smart and comfy, eco luxury concept works well, very scenic rooftop…I’d say the space itself is totally 5* I also met the manager and thought be was really kind.

United StatesThe temperature is kept at a level that is not pleasant. We understand the need for conserving energy, but it crosses over to not being able to sleep - it simply gets too hot in the small rooms. We stayed in a Coco-Mat hotel to experience the beds but it was too hot to even truly decide if we like the beds or not. This property claims to be 5 star but there truly wasn't enough space for us and our luggage. We each had one bag and one small backpack. The price is reasonable for 5 star, but in all fairness, you will need to upgrade to get a comfortable room. We also used the fitness center which shares space with Coco-Mat retail store. It's a bit awkward and while Coco-mat bicycles are cool to roll around Athens on, it isn't a great choice for a work out.
The breakfast buffet was nice and had something for every type of eater. The location is wonderful. That staff was extremely quick to respond and worked hard to get us into a room early as my partner was having a severe allergic reaction and needed to lie down. Staff and service is excellent.

BelarusEverywhere in the hotel there are advertisements for a bed that you can buy right there. Not me, not my boyfriend did not understand why this bed is so marketed, it is too high and soft. It was not so comfortable sleeping on it. We also expected a large swimming pool on the roof of the hotel, where there is enough space for sunbeds and you can spend a day sunbathing and swimming. But the pool and terrace turned out to be so small that a maximum of 5-7 people can rest there at one time.
The hotel has very friendly staff! there was also a very large selection of food for breakfast. the price also includes a spa. There are 2 saunas and a large swimming pool :) We also liked the view from the rooftop, but the pool is completely unsuitable for swimming!

South AfricaWe had an incident in our room due to a cleanliness issue. We reported it to management straight away and they moved us to another room. The rooms did however all seem like they needed a good clean. There were scuff’s on the walls and the general cleanliness of the hotel was not great. The price should match the quality and unfortunately that was not the case here.
The rooftop pool and facilities at the top of the hotel was amazing.
