Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryI spent a wonderful week with my 16-year-old daughter at Katerina's place. We've visited many Greek islands before, but this was the first time we truly experienced the famous Greek hospitality. It felt a bit like Katerina was our fairy godmother, just like in Cinderella ❤. Even at the nearby restaurant and supermarket, we felt that people were happy to see us and liked us, even though we were strangers. For example, the kind lady owner of the supermarket asked another customer to help drive our groceries (water, drinks, prosecco, fruits) to our apartment because I was on foot. Our apartment was perfect—clean, very tasteful, and cozy, with a small private garden area with a sunbed (and an adorable tortoiseshell cat, whom we named Aria. We bought cat food for her every day, although she didn't seem like she really needed it ). The kitchen was fully equipped, so we could prepare everything we needed, especially for breakfast, although we mostly ate at the places recommended by Katerina. Katerina had prepared water, wine, olive oil, raki, and snacks for us on the first day, which we were very grateful for. If you like the new Nespresso Vertuo machine, make sure to bring compatible capsules because they can't be found in the local store (although there are some provided). We enjoyed the walk down to the beach and back up, seeing it as a workout, but it’s not easy to get around without a car, especially with small children or if you're older with sore knees (unfortunately, I left my driver's license at home, but you can rent a car at the nearby restaurant). Still, we managed to get at least 15,000 steps in every day!

United KingdomKaterina & Mike and their family were wonderful hosts. Always attentive without being overbearing. When we arrived very late in the evening all the local dining facilities were closed, so they prepared us a nice simple meal. It was a really thoughtful thing that they didn’t have to do and it sums them up as hosts. The facilities were exactly as per the pictures, well kept and comfortable. The location being on slightly higher ground than the local beaches meant that there was always enough breeze to prevent the temperature from becoming uncomfortable. We would have no issues returning to Creta Vivere villas and recommend it highly to families with children

BelgiumNothing really…
The place is nice and quiet - Katerina our host is full of attentions doing her very best to make us feel welcome and at home. The place is quiet and is a great starting point to visit Knossos and Heraklion. This was a very enjoyable stay, what a great way to start our visit of Crete.

RomaniaWe were a group of twelve friends and we rented three villas for three days! Everything was perfect, the location and also the hosts who did everything to make us feel comfortable! The villas are on top of a hill with breathtaking views over the mountains, port and the beach! It's more beautiful than the photos! They have everything you need for a perfect holiday! The design is new, clean, modern! You have a great open space kitchen with a tv where everyone can sit and watch a movie, and a swimming pool were you can relax and have fun. It has a restaurant with very good food and a small market nearby! We felt very good here and we greatly apreciated the warm welcome and generosity of the hosts who made us welcome gifts with wine and olive oil! Katerina even brought us her home made pies when we were having dinner, a small gest which we greatly appreciated!

IndiaThe shower is run down and cramped. The location though beautiful is quite remote from places where activities happen/ restaurants cafes etc. There is a mini mart and breakfast buffet service nearby but that's the only choice.
The hosts are extremely welcoming and hospitable. We reached after experiencing sea sickness on a terrible ferry ride caught in bad weather. Katarina brought us chamomile tea and arranged food which was very sweet of her. They also provided us with a weighing scale and measuring tape on request. The views are superb with a beautiful sunrise and overlooking the cliffs and the Agia Pelagia beach. The property is well maintained and clean. The location is quite remote so best to have a rental car so you can drive to places but in case you don't- the hosts provide the number of a car taxi service which can be called with a notice of 30 mins.

LithuaniaThe place is high up on a windy road but it is not difficult to find. The pool and the courtyard is shared but it is indicated int he description. The living room is a bit small for a large family but all the rest is great.
The hosts are just wonderful, such nice and caring people, the villa is nice, in a quiet place, some restaurants nearby. The hosts sent us all the info we needed met us, greeted and showed us around. You have everything you need in the villa.

BelgiumThe Creta Vivere villas are ideal for families. There is ample room even for a family of 5 and the property is ideally located very close to the beach of Lygaria, but still at a stone's throw from the buzzling Iraklion city. The rooms are super clean on arrival and there is everything you might need in order to prepare meals etc. Pool is very clean and well-maintained. But the best part is the hosts: they are super polite and welcoming people (genuine Cretan hosting!), always there to help you, give you advise and solve any problem you might experience. I could not recommend Creta Vivere villas more!!!

United KingdomThere wasn’t much to dislike.
Beautiful villas with breathtaking views. My fiancé and I visited with our parents and daughter to plan our wedding (6 adults and our 2 year old daughter) we had plenty of room to spread out. The owners Mike and Katerina were so accommodating to anything we needed and often came round with gifts of snacks and fresh fruit. They had good recommendations of things to do and places to visit. The Villa is very well located to explore Crete conveniently close to the highway, 20 min drive from the airport, just a short drive into Agia Pelagia beach with bars and restaurants a short drive to Gazi with lots to do, 25 min drive to the waterpark, we drove 1 hr to Rythmno which was beautiful were we could have spent more than a day. Lots to do in Crete and this is a great location to explore from. We will definitely be back, already discussed with the owners about a stay for our wedding next year!

Absolutely amazing experience, Katarina was so nice and she already waited for us when we were ariving, beutifull villa and such a great view from the balcony, that we will not forget. We have traveled with two small childres and Katarina provided us with child seat and child bed - one more time thank you for your vonderfull hospitality. In the villa you will find everything you need, its clean and airconditioned, from Heraklion airport it took only 20 min by car, closeby is great restaurant for breakfast and dinners and also minimarket where you can by all you need, even gifts. Garden around villa is small paradise, with enough privacy, views from terrace tables are great = looking on Crete and sea while having meal.. and pool? that was something extra great, we will definitely return :)

AustraliaOnly very minor complaint - the bathroom is very small, and the shower sprays onto the floor. Not really up to the high standards of the rest of the beautiful apartment.
The apartment is well appointed, very comfortable and in a good location. The apartment we rented is perfect for a couple. Katerina and her husband met us at the apartment and showed us around, and were very happy to help with anything.

AustriaWhat a gem! Romantic hideaway above Mades and Ligaria Beach with a spacious pool and the most beautiful views of the bays. Great base for sightseeing and beaches this side of the island. The hosts show heartwarming hospitality and are very helpful. Although it seems like the perfect honeymoon location, it was also ideal for us - two families with children. A very good restaurant with pool and mini market is within walking distance.

IsraelThere is air conditioning in the big bedroom and in the living room, but not in the small bedroom. It was sometimes hot there at night and we tried to cool it with the air-conditioning from the big bedroom. In the living room, the air-conditioning also didn't cool all the room, so we re-arranged the bed to be in front of the air-conditioning so it would be pleasant to sleep. Overall, we managed to have a great vacation despite this, and we would've asked for fans from our hosts if we didn't find a solution ourselves.
Our flight got delayed and Katerina and Mike personally welcomed us into our villa after midnight, including a small surprise. They were very responsive to any question or concern, before our arrival and during our stay. The villas complex is beautiful, the view of the bay is amazing. It was a pleasure to wake up and drink coffee from our balcony looking at it, or eat by the pool. The pool was great, we used it almost every day, the kids loved it! Our hosts gave us good recommendations for places to eat in the area, locations of supermarkets and more. There is a neighbor hotel in a walking distance with a good restaurant which we used for dinner on the last day. The villa itself had everything we needed.
