Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNo closer or wardrobe, it’s not relaxing having all your stuff all over the place due to lack of storage. A lot of effort went into a design but not enough thought was given to comfort

IrelandSituated in a deprived part of the city. Before arriving I booked a room with two beds as advertised but got an email saying that they don't do rooms with more than one bed and we couldn't cancel the booking and ended up have to book two rooms instead of one. For the same price we could have gone to a fancy hotel. Aircon was warm. A lot of noise outside the hotel at night It isn't worth getting a balcony room as there's only a view of derelict buildings. Expected a bar on the rooftop but there was none and it isnt a real amenity.
Central location, but an area I wasn't too comfortable navigating on my own at night. Good basic gym.

NorwayLocation was really bad (hookers and drug addicts on the corners), they state that they have a bar but they don’t, equipment in the rooms were broken, you could hear people in the neighboring room breathing and more.

PolandThe property has bed bugs. We booked a hotel with Booking and booked a queen bed. Upon arrival, at the reception we have been upgraded to a king room- 310. They also offered us free breakfast. We were quite surprised to be met with that much uncalled for kindness. We went to our room and immediately went to bed as we were super jet lagged. We woke up to bed bugs on our sheets full of blood. I killed a few with a tissue and immediately came down to reception to show them the killed bed buds in the tissue. The lady that was at the reception with the one that updated us to king for free- reacted- “you don’t have to show me dead bugs, we know that your room is infested” - my immediate reaction was - so you updated us for free knowing we will have bedbugs? Anyways- they changed our room to a different one assuring us that this one doesn’t have bed bugs-210. We trusted them and went on with the solution. Unfortunately the problem persisted. Day to day night to night we both got bit more and more bites. We kept coming to reception and asking about these bed bugs- and they assured us that the new room doesn’t have any. Nevertheless the bites were showing otherwise. At the end we spend a whole day at the laundrettes trying to wash and dry all our belongings and we have not only wasted a lot of time but also money. We are bit and we feel horrible after this experience. At the end the hotel also charged us an additional 20€ late check out fee. Without consulting with us. We were actually late because we were looking for a wash service and trying to figure out how to solve our problem.

United KingdomThe hotel was supposed to be a bit quirky it seemed but they completely missed the mark. Hotel just felt unfinished and the room was full of dust, taps black paint was peeling etc. Didn’t feel clean at all, we only booked as they had a 24 hour desk and we were arriving late. The Area was the worst of all. Should really have checked the reviews because they do mentioned the location but as we only were to sleep here we didn’t think it would be an issue. Scary walking round the area and into athens, people were doing drugs with needles by the hotel in this area. Would avoid this hotel especially female only travellers.
Room was ok for just a sleep, staff were very friendly

GermanyWindows were not isolated, therefore it was super noisy, which made sleeping a bit challenging. Curtains didn't allow full darkness in the room, should also be improved. Breakfast was nothing special.

GreeceI had no hot water in the shower the entire second day, which was frustrating as I was traveling for business. I had to take a cold shower before my meeting and another cold one at the end of the day when I returned exhausted. I think there was an issue with the water heater that they didn't manage to fix. The staff offered me another room, but I was too tired to switch when I returned at 1:00 AM.
I really enjoy this hotel, its history, the location, and everything about it. This wasn't my first visit, and it definitely won't be my last. The breakfast was exactly what I needed, and the hotel staff were very polite and helpful.
