We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelWhen booking this hotel, we asked for two single beds - once arriving to the hotel (after receiving no reply at all), we found out they don't have such a room. We got a room next to the elevator - meaning noise was always an issue. The glass doors to the balcony were very old, hence cold air and noise came in also. The niagara was leaking into the toilet seat non-stop, and the bathroom's door's plastic seal was out of place, so the toilet door could not be closed properly. Along with that, the TV didn't work the whole stay - apparently they didn't know there is no service (all channels are down) until we notified the. Also, parties were held in the hotel lobby hall, meaning it was noisy all throught the weekend.
The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the metro station and the old city, it's walking distance from all the attractions.

United KingdomDespite the hotel's prime location in front of a police station, I found the area to be unsafe at night.
I recently stayed at the Dave Red Athens, a member of the Brown Hotels, and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The hotel's contemporary design and chic decor created a stylish and modern atmosphere that I loved. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept very well each night. I also appreciated the room's attention to detail, such as the high-quality linens and the well-stocked minibar. The staff at the Dave Red Athens were exceptional and truly made my stay memorable. They were always available to answer any questions I had and were eager to help with anything I needed. They went out of their way to ensure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and I was impressed by their professionalism and friendliness. The hotel's location was also a major highlight, as it was located in the heart of Athens and close to many of the city's top attractions. I was able to easily explore the city on foot, and the hotel's central location made it easy for me to access all the sights and sounds of Athens. In addition to its great location, the Dave Red Athens also has a fantastic restaurant on-site, serving delicious and innovative cuisine. The menu had a great variety of options, and everything I tried was delicious. The prices were also very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food and service. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at the Dave Red Athens and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish and comfortable hotel stay in Athens. The staff, amenities, and location make it a top choice for any traveler.

RomaniaA big problem is the hot water as I wanted to shower around 9 AM but, surprise, no hot water. Went to front desk with the problem and found out that due to a high consumption, rainy and cloudy weather the heater works only if it is sunny outside. Only one small elevator for guests, bed is small for a tall person. In the description of the room is written that slippers and mini bar products available, surprise, I couldn't find them. On the day of check-in found on the hallway (very narrow one) some plastic bags (with trash, laundry etc.) just left over there and then collected after few hours. As the next building is under construction, it was a lot of noise as the windows are not so good on sound isolation.
A good thing that the Police Station is next to the building as wherever you read is stated that Omonia area is a bit strange.

SwitzerlandNo fresh Orange Juice at breakfast. (usually standard in athens) The streets both East and West of the hotel may feel dangerous to people not familiar with the area and at night, however there is a fully lighted safe path from the hotel entrance to the city center (via Omonia sq)
very central location, always “street” parking available, safe street (police station right in front of entrance), metro at 50 meters, center 10 min walk. very nice beds comfortable and nice atmosphere in room. Breakfast also good. Many barbers and laundry shops around. 24/7 bakery at 50 meters. Hotel is specifically a good option for a younger crowd. There is also a nightclub in the basement.

ItalyIt's very central but the street where it's located it's not very nice especially at night. I had no problem at all, but I would suggest to check the area before booking, especially for families with small kids. There's a secret speakeasy inside the hotel, but the music was so loud that I could hear it from my room at the 4th floor. But the staff was so nice that they proposed me to upgrade to another room at the 8th floor.
Very nice and cool hotel, it's all new and there's a huge attentions to details. Good vibes and mood. My room was big enough, the bed was extremely comfortable and cool. There's an amazing rooftop with a jacuzzi open everyday with hot temperature. Nice breakfast, nice common areas. I've loved so many things about this hotel!

GreeceRooms are very small in an old building and the retro theme makes the place looks dirtier than it is for no reason. The beds and pillows are great though. I was placed at a top floor room. The sound of the air vents from heating the entire building end up there. You hear constant way too loud noise like its a construction site outside your window 24/7. The place feels like a hostel rather than a hotel. Unfortunately i couldnt stay my stay because of that checked out earlier than what i booked.
Staff is friendly and very helpful. They do their best with what they have and they are all doing a great job.

GreeceI wasn't to impressed with the breakfast. It was lacking and pedantic.
The bed and bedding was my favourite. Terribly comfortable. The phonograph and built-in stereo speakers were a nice touch, but one must have ones own records to play.

NetherlandsMy partner didn't have a problem but if you are as tall as me (1,90m+) don't pick the room with the circular bed.
Really nice place, jacuzzi in the rooftop definitely the most amazing thing, super relaxing and with views. Room super well equipped, great shower and all.

TurkeyThe only thing that I don't like most was my noisy neighbour. Before making reservation be awere of the hotel is a modern stylish dark colored hotel. And the bathroom is small and no shower cabin so it can flood water 😂💦
My reservation transfered to the sister hotel lighthouse. It was wonderful begining from reception staff to room comfort and amenities. Breakfast has too many delicious food options and prosecco.

United KingdomI was there Friday and Saturday night. I hadn't realised because it's not clear on Booking that there is a nightclub in the basement, and they also had a private party on the roof on Friday night. The bass was very heavy and kept me awake until 4am on both nights even though I had earplugs in. I think it is clearer on the Dave website that the club is there but I think it needs to be much clearer on other sites as I would have chosen a different place to stay had I known. The hotel should also provide earplugs as a matter of course and look at improving its sound proofing as otherwise I can't see anyone sleeping well while the club is active. I also had booked a Foxy Plus room for the king bed/couch thing but I think they put me in a double with balcony instead without informing me of the change.
The room and whole hotel was very stylish. I was able to check in a little early which I appreciated. The bed was comfy and the shower was big. The terrace looked like it would be a nice place to chill in summer

SwedenWe were disturbed two nites out of four nites of drums from the nightclub. in the basement, we were never informed about a nightclub. We could only sleep limited amount of time, and they were partying until 5:30 in the morning. Absolutely not acceptable. The lift was also unacceptable, always a long wait, we had to take the stairs many times for five floors. Can´t see any solution to that though, due to the building structure. The area was not so nice, a lot of poor people around and about the hotel on the backside.
The breakfast was not acceptable, 2 out of 4 days no toast. Very limited variety of food such as bread, porridge etc, no hot food such as bacon/sausages fried eggs only very hard cooked eggs, not eatable. Restaurant very strangely decorated and limited amount of tables. Not acceptable even considering the low price.

United KingdomDO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. The area is incredibly dangerous and has a dark energy. Omonia Square- one of the most dangerous areas in Europe. Particularly for solo females. Breakfast was not nice either. Plus was the room itself was quite interesting and nice lighting. I stayed in foxy + - if you want to experience a cool interior if say stay here with a friend or partner but max one night. The hotel bar was not friendly and the staff on desk were very average.

United States1. There was a high-pitched whine coming from the ventilation system in my first room that was annoying and hard to ignore once I noticed it. I eventually changed rooms because of it. 2. There is only one very small elevator for this 9-story building. At busy times you must wait a while for the elevator. It was briefly out of order during my stay but fortunately I only had to walk down the stairs during that time, not up. 3. On one occasion in the bathroom I could only get water that was tepid at best. On other occasions the hot water was adequate.
The rooms were comfortable and the unusual discretionary red lighting was easier on the eyes for a trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
