Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThis charming nostalgic Villa has a lot of character, but that is probably not for everyone. See above for more details.
The penthouse that I booked was seriously damaged by the previous guests, therefore I was offered the Villa Terracotta instead. This rustic Villa is located off the mainroad just outside of crowded Delphi, which was great for me because it was very quiet. The Villa offers incredible unobstructed views of the plain below, the towns beyond, the Gulf of Corinth in the distance and the mountains of the Peleponnesos on the horizon. The Delphi museum and archeological site are a 5-10 minute drive away. (Villa Terracotta has its own page with pictures and info on Booking.com). This charming nostalgic Villa has a lot of character and that is probably not for everyone. The decoration is eclectic and colourful, the house is a maze of stairs and passages and rooms, and there is interesting art on the walls everywhere. To me it felt like staying in a living museum of my own, a place that reminded me of a classic English cottage somehow. It certainly shows some wear and tear in places and the house could do with some tender love and care, but that was easily outbalanced by her personality and other qualities. The bathrooms were old-fashioned, but clean. I especially liked the views, the quiet surroundings, the well-equipped spacious kitchen and the pieces of art on the walls

AustraliaThere was nothing we didn't like. Wished we could have stayed longer. The decor was old but it matched the apartment and gave it character. No complaints but we did find the apartment and area expensive.
The apartment was in a fantastic location and very comfortable for a family with all the amenities. The host was proactive, helpful and communicated well.

United KingdomSmallest bed wasn't the most comfortable. Bath water was not hot, however we may have missed guidance on the circuit breaker for how to turn it on?
Great location, amazing views form the balcony, washing machine. So much space. Easy free parking in the street.

GermanyThe beds were very uncomfortable and hard. We had to use spare bedding to lay comfortably.
Location is good, walking distance to a lot of restaurants and even to the archeological sites. Amazing view over the valley from the terrace.

GermanyThe kitchen wasn't optimally equipped, but if you're only staying for one night, the apartment is ideal. When we were about to arrive we briefly felt insecure whether we had all the information we needed to get into the apartment, but when we contacted the owner over the phone everything went very smoothly.
The best thing first: The view from the balcony (and from the living room) is breathtaking! Really impressive. Makes you happy every time you look at it. The apartment was located very centrally and was definitely once really lived in (in contrast to pure holiday apartments). You can see this in the details of the decoration. Everything is a bit old and whimsical, but very pretty, especially the many colors. One room lilac-light blue, the other pink-yellow etc. A good place to stay for a visit of the Delphi ancient sites.

SpainThe apartment is ideal if you are going in a group, for a couple I would recommend a hotel room a street or two down. The location is good, next to the church, although you have to climb hills or stairs, quite a few.
The apartment has everything you need to be there for days and weeks. It is very ornate in terms of decoration. And the views are ideal for dinner, breakfast or just to relax.

IsraelIt was one of the hottest days of the year, and the A.C was not enough in the living room. One room has an A.C but the others don't and the rooms were too hot to sleep. The house used to belong to someone, and all the stuff are still there. So it could be a bit disturbing...
Good location: Near the center, with shops and restaurants. The apartment is well equipped in the kitchen and others. We cooked our meal, and it was comfortable.

United KingdomIt took us a little while to see how things worked.
When we first came in my little grandson said 'It's a highness!' Chandelier and plush soft chairs. It took a little while to get things to work but then everything was fine. Wonderful views, big comfortable sitting room, very good beds. Great location.

New ZealandThere is nothing celebrity or VIP worthy in this place and the listing clearly eludes to the obvious — it is a dated comfortable family home with superb views. Nothing more. Nothing less. The purposely adulterated bright/light images is a deceitful tactic and the breakfast pics are definitely a stock images. Saying all that, the place is fine as long as you know what to expect but it is definitely not worth the price when we compare the last 6 months of travel and accommodation along the way.
The views from the balcony are outstanding and the location is great. It is a large spacious home that might work for some people but we found the listing terribly misleading as it does not reflect the age and dated-ness of the home.

MontenegroI made the mistake of booking the same night in two different places. The app never let me know the mistake and when I found out and try to comunicate with the place, they never answered. Of course they canceled our staying and only sent back 1.5 euros so we could answered that they partialy refound our payment. In the end, we found a beautiful place to stay, with a lot of nature, good hosts and good breakfast just a few minutes away from the city.
