Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsLovely Staff. Took care of our bags before check-in time. Smooth check-in. Nice room. Mini-fridge in room. Balcony. Clean premises. Although the area of Omonia Square has a bad reputation, it is not dangerous per se. You see some people struggling in life, but no feeling that your life is at risk. The Omonia metro is within two blocks from Hotel.

NetherlandsThe shower :(
The people working there are so lovely and helpful. The room is sparse, shower is rough, as there is no holder for the hand-held sprayer. But it is clean and safe and for the price, really good. Also, the Air con is fantastic!

United KingdomDue to a broken shower holder, I requested a change of room. They told me all rooms are the same. I’m wondering why all of the rooms should have broken shower holders, yet they haven’t replaced them.

MaltaI was quite disappointed by the fact that although I’m sure I left an iPhone plug worth 25 euros, as well as an international plug worth as much, the cleaning staff said they didn’t find it. There was nowhere else I could have left them but plugged into the wall so I’m finding this story very hard to believe. I also needed to print my boarding pass but could not do it because somehow the hotel pc kept blocking Ryanair check-in sites.
Surprisingly large rooms with balcony area for a very viable price. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. immaculately clean.

United StatesThe when I was first given the room, there was no toilet seat. I had to go down to the lobby, and they brought up a new one and installed it. The shower was inside a mini-tub. It was difficult for me because I am a big man, but my wife is small, so she loved it. The biggest issue I had was the door to the bathroom: it was not fitted properly. Try to close it and it made a loud noise. I usually leave the bathroom light on and leave the door just slightly open, but the choice there was either to leave the door wide open and too bright in the room, or wake your spouse trying to get in and out of the bathroom.
I have been in the Omonia area in the past, so I knew what to expect. During the day it is fine, but after dark it becomes a bit scary. I originally had a smaller room, but when my wife arrived from the Philippines, I asked for a bit larger room. The staff was always gracious and helpful, and gave me directions. For me, the beds were a bit too soft, but my wife liked her twin bed, so that is a matter of preference.

NetherlandsTraffic noise is inescapable in Athens. Best sleep with the doors closed. The shower is a bit basic.
Nice affordable hotel in the centre of Athens. The room was perfect with a comfy bed and air conditioning (which is a must in summer.) Location is perfect for a tourist with a one-minute walk to the metro. The neighbourhood is interesting but on the surface a bit rough (personally I love this but it can be intimidating when you arrive late.) The hotel is open 24/7 and the staff is super friendly.

NetherlandsThe hotel is in an older and quite busy part of Athens. When walking to the sights, I’d advise keeping to the main streets as there are many homeless on the side streets. Nothing happened - I actually felt quite safe - but it pays to be careful.
This hotel has a 24-hr desk which was a real plus as I arrived at 2:30 am. The staff were fabulous - friendly and very helpful. I also liked that it was waking distance to the Acropolis, plata, and the National Archeology Museum.

South AfricaThe noise from the street made the stay uncomfortable!
The location was great as it is near a square and near a metro station. The taxi driver warned us that the area was seedy but we found it quite safe. We arrived at the Hotel very early in the morning and could not check in. We did request and was promised a quite room away from the street. Needless to say when we arrived back at the Hotel in the afternoon to check in, nobody remembered about the requested and promised quite room. We stayed for 2 nights.
