Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. A few early teething issues with staff
Well locations off the town centre . Get used to lots of steps in the town and around the hotel . Good interior design

- There was a short issue with the hot water during our stay, but the staff handled it really efficiently. - Some may miss having a full breakfast option, though it didn't bother us as we enjoyed visiting the nearby bakeries and using the outdoor area for a relaxed breakfast with available fruit and snacks.
- Excellent location, right by the port and close to everything, making it easy to access. - Only 25m from the port with just two flights of stairs, making it manageable even with bags. - The hotel can also arrange assistance with luggage if needed. - The room was modern with charming original features. - High ceilings and well-equipped with every facility: kettle, Nespresso machine, hair dryer, and lovely toiletries. - Stayed in the garden room with a private outdoor space, perfect for enjoying a bottle of wine. - The hotel provided wine glasses and beach towels for our trip to the nearby Spilia Beach, which is a must-visit in Hydra.

Well, my room was 9. A lot of stairs but the porter was very helpful.
I wish they offered breakfast.

There are a few stairs but you get used to it.
Beautifully finished. Great location. Quiet and private yet close to the sea front.

The hotel has a beautiful area to serve breakfast and drinks but they don’t, which was hugely disappointing. I never read that breakfast was not included and seeing a stunning terrace that is just not used was really a let down. They have lovely tables and chairs making you think this could be the breakfast area but only to find no breakfast is served after paying a lot of money.

I think giving your guests breakfast on your terrace would make the stay so much nicer. You paying a lot of money and it just felt like this was really missing. Also serving drinks or having an honesty bar at the terrace would make this hotel perfect.
The rooms are gorgeous and the hotel is beautiful. We loved our room, all was 5 star.

Beautifully presented and in an excellent location just off the harbour, a perfect spot for exploring Idra town. The steps didn’t bother us at all - they’re quite explicit about it and have porters to help with bags if required. There’s a lovely outside terrace with dining tables/chairs and sofas/tables perfect for relaxing in private away from the huddle and bussle.

Pricing is on the high side for Hydra given the fact that the price is 'room only'. The room had one window only and was was small compared to the size of the room.
Perfect location in Hydra town, a recently renovated mansion. Facilities are brand new -rare to find in Hydra. Less than 5 minute walking distance to everywhere.

Fabulous location, yet quiet and peaceful. Idyllic hotel. Spacious room. Incredibly well equipped- nespresso machine, water, toiletries, robe and slippers. Stunning terraces with views.

That my stay was not longer!
Nothing was too much bother from the staff. They helped us carry our luggage the short distance from the port. As a city dweller it was a great treat to have a room with view of sea. The dining area was a bonus for morning fruit of night cap in the evenings.The patio area was perfect for relaxing in the cool of the day

It was truly an incredible experience. The room was stylish and comfortable, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the location was perfect for exploring the island, literally 2min from the port. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and luxurious getaway!!!

Climatisation couldn’t satisfy my needs because you can’t put it on when the window is open which makes the room without any fresh air. In addition, it would be perfect if breakfast is served
