Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The view from the room. It said rooms with a view but all we could see is balcony which I belive only staff were allowed and few buildings. View from the room was disappointing.
The reception staffs were very friendly and patiently explained everything both in the hotel and nearby places. It was very warm welcome for us.

There are almost no place to hang your clothes in the room.

Beds - they took the effort to have a proper mattress topper (sod) over the two single beds pushed together to make the one bed. Most accommodation place sell double or king rooms which is code for two single beds clamped together. They are often hard uncomfortable and the mattress seams in the middle almost make it pointless. It’s annoying that most of them do that. Ibis however went to the effort of having a proper soft comfortable mattress topper to remove those issues. Their staff were lovely. We arrived very late and the staff were very nice.

Not anything to dislike, but it is a bit of a walk or a cab ride to any of the big tourist areas - it's centrally located but not close by any of them, if that's what you're traveling for.
Very good breakfast. We also had a large, comfortable room. The staff was helpful and polite. It felt more like a hotel for business travelers than for tourists.

It's a little bit far away from the city center but still within walking distance (around 20 minutes).
The staff are very nice, the room is clean and comfortable. The room size is good. Have a few breakfast options across the road. A large supermarket only 5 minutes away.

There was no restaurant but maybe little snacks inside the hotel would be nice .
Hotel was near to metro station so location was ok. Easily traveled to historical part of Athens. Breakfast was more than expected. Staff was helpful and always smiling.

The location is a bit far from the city center and Plaka area. There aren’t many shops around, only a fee big supermarkets 5-10 min walk. At first I was a bit scared to walk, but then it looked safe. But it can be still dcary to walk alone after 6:00 pm. It is around 20 min walk to hop-on hop-off bus and to Plaka area.
A very big room, for an Ibis Styles Hotel! Design was nice. Very big bathroom as well. The bed was very comfortable! There was always water and coffee in the room.

We knew the hotel was not in the heart of the city centre, so no complaint.
Great place to explore Athens, with private parking (10 euro / day), and a fantastic breakfast buffet. If you go to the city centre by foot, it takes about 15 minutes.

Actually everything was fine. Hotel is not for some Gala party in the evening at bar chairs, who need such accommodation.
Very good managed Hotel with well trained staff. Young lady at reception by our check-in (Tereza ?), staff in breakfast room (girl and man /Apostolis?/, cleaning personal - all are very friendly and at same time very professional. Hotel is clean, with well and efficient house keeping service and functions. Breakfast offer everything and all sort and type of food for everyone. Quality of food and ingredients is on the high level. Good located, still you need 10-15 walk to most important touristic hotspots, or use public transport on convenience at disposal in close proximity.
