Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

United KingdomIt was very windy when we were there (nothing the hotel could help!) . You need a car really to explore and we had one.
Amazing beach hotel family run. Wonderful view from the room. Comfortable bed.

United KingdomIt’s really worth hiring a car to reach a sandy beach and find places to eat and to explore the island.
Irides was in such a beautiful place with beautiful views even whilst eating breakfast! And it was maintained beautifully as well. It is situated right by the sea. The family that run it are so friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend.

CanadaJust a small bar soap to wash hands.
The breakfast was adequate with daily slightly different varieties. Right from the moment we checked in Spiros made us feel comfortable and welcome. The entire Petritis family were very friendly and informative about the area and their hotel. The friendly attitude is also down to their cute 9 month old daughter who was a delight. I would recommend that you forget about the hyped up islands and come and relax here and appreciate the tranquility of nature.

United Arab EmiratesPlease be aware that it's it's a slightly remote location, so not a lot close by. But there is a restaurant, a grocery store and plenty of beach access... everything you need for a few days of relaxation :)
We had a beautiful holiday experience at this hotel, our kids loved the pool, the rooms are big and comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful and fun. The nearby taverna is also excellent. Highly recommend a stay here.

AustraliaNothing. It’s was exceptional
The location of Irides is excellent. Right on the beach so you can choose to lounge by the pool and go for a sea swim! The facilities were locally with exceptional views of the pool and sea. It was beautiful seeing the lights of Athens in the distance at nights. Breakfast was excellent and when I commented that I loved the Loukoumades (Greek donuts) they were on the menu again the next day for me! Beautiful family run hotel with wonderful hospitality and facilities

IrelandNot too many options for food after the local taverna. Plenty of places in souvala which is a 25 min walk or 5 euro in a taxi if you can get a local one.
Spiros was Great host. Free breakfast was great. Location is amazing. There is a taverna (which is very good) and a supermarket within 5 minutes walk. Would recommend.

United KingdomNothing we didn’t like but be aware the hotel doesn’t do evening meals apart from a BBQ evening. There is a pizza restaurant very near by and a supermarket (hotels has kettle, sink, plates and cutlery but no cooking appliances). Otherwise it is 2.5 km pleasant walk along the seafront to the nearest town with several restaurants and cafes.
This family run hotel has exceptional customer service. Spyros is on hand and knows all guests by name. The rooms are comfortable and cleaned daily, nearly all rooms have sea views. We loved the pool and proximity to sea, not sand here but flat rock and piers built make it easy access. The views are amazing and breakfast area is wonderful to sit looking out to sea. Good selection at the breakfast buffet and the pool bar is open all day.

IrelandNothing. The hotel is 15 minutes by taxi from the main port town, but this is perfect for a quiet, relaxing holiday
A gorgeous, quiet hideaway with a pool on one side and a beach on the other. This hotel is right on the beach which you have views of constantly, especially when sitting down to breakfast. There's also a lovely, reasonably-priced restaurant just two minutes walk from here along the beach. In the other direction there is a full supermarket. There is nothing I didn't like about this place. Spyros and his family who run it could not be nicer. Highly recommend ⭐

United KingdomIn April 2024, we stayed at three different hotels on Aegina. All were good, but Irides was by far our favourite. Spiros is the friendliest and most welcoming host you could hope for. The location on the coast is very scenic and there are plenty of charming details inside the grounds, like the fountain and giant chess set. Our sea view balcony faced the sunrise in the morning and the city lights of Athens at night. Also, this was the best hotel breakfast that we had on Aegina, due to the size of the spread and the fact that they slightly changed some of the options from day to day.

Great location, quiet neighborhood. Beautiful views from the balcony of the coast and sea. 10 m to the sea. Great swimming pool, a drink bar nearby . Nice host. Comfortable and clean rooms, comfortable beds. There's a tavern nearby. For those who like trips, I recommend a walk to PaleoChora and the Afai temple (approx. 5-6 km). Tasty breakfest

Me and my family had an incredible stay at this hotel! The location was excellent, providing a quiet and serene atmosphere for total relaxation. The staff and owner Spyros were exceptional, making sure every aspect of our stay was perfect. The highlight for us was definitely the delicious pizza served in the hotel restaurant. While the beach at the hotel may not be suitable for kids, we found solace in knowing that beautiful sandy beaches were just a 15-20 minute drive away. Overall, a fantastic experience!

This is a perfect hotel. First of all the hosts who are a wonderful family who are there and answer every question and always with a smile. The location is perfect on the sea with a view from every location in the hotel, a swimming pool (we were afraid of the sea salt but it didn't bother the children)..great breakfast. United KingdomMyself and my daughter had a fantastic stay at the Irides. The family run hotel has a warm and friendly feel, everyone is more than happy to help and give advice on day trips out, call taxis, recommendations on restaurants etc a short car ride from Aegina town with lots going on but the hotel itself is set back in a calm quiet location. The best of both! Thank you again!
