Nothing, but the only thing to keep in mind is you don’t have a lot of privacy. The host lives above you (and is around) and the other units terrace is close.

This a beautiful traditional cave house in a spectacular location. The host is lovely and provides you with a history of Santorini upon arrival and arranges your transfer to and from the port (which I would definitely recommend). We enjoyed dinner & meals in as we didn’t want to leave the beautiful views of this home.

The place has one of the best locations and views of everything that must be seen in Santorini. The shopping street with shops and taverns is literally meters away. A warm welcome and a well-organized transfer from and to the airport, as long as you have contacted the owners beforehand. It was an amazing adventure, with unforgettable memories, for me and my husband. The owner is very nice, kind and responsive. Everything was clean and cozy! We had an unforgettable stay at this hidden gem in Oia. Although it's conveniently close to the main tourist attractions, the accommodation is tucked away so well that it feels incredibly private and exclusive. The atmosphere around the house is peaceful and truly aesthetic, making it the perfect retreat. The house itself is a traditional caldera home with a lot of personality. The view is simply breathtaking, and we feel like there's no better place to experience the authentic beauty of Santorini. Our favorite moments were spent sitting outside, watching the evening transition into night. What truly made our stay exceptional was the owner. She is unbelievably welcoming and kind, treating us like family. She shared fascinating insights about the history of Santorini and the design of the house, which added a special touch to our stay. She also assisted us with arranging transportation to the airport, which was a huge help. We can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking to experience Santorini in a peaceful, authentic setting.

Breathtaking view. Central to main promenade of Santorini. Owner super helpful. Arranged transfers from airport. Also arranged trip on Catamaran. Gave good advice on restaurants and very friendly. Spoilt my daughter with fruits and treats. My husband loved the coffee! View from the unit was just something else. Sunsets were stunning.

We really loved the stay in Lava Oia , the view of sea from the room was excellent . I would recommend the place for the following reasons. 1- Host is very helpful 2- 5 min walk to city center . 3- walkable to shopping street and restaurants . 4- Hardly 10-20 steps to reach the stay from the main road. so no need of porter to carry the luggage (but still incase you need can opt for one ) 5- The room was comfortable , but don't expect too much of luxury like a 5 star hotel.

The stairs down to the unit were a little cumbersome, but there's not much to be done there. The owner made sure to help bring luggage up & down, which was very nice.

Not being able to flush toilet paper is a bummer, but I think that goes for all hotels on the island.

This property is precious! I visited with my mom and it exceeded all expectations! The host is so sweet and more than happy to help coordinate travel arrangements and restaurant recommendations! Enjoying a glass of wine on the patio was the best part of our stay each night at sunset!

The view - Exceptional and profound. It overlooks the gorgeous turquoise and blue ocean and majestic dark lava island with white ice frosting towns on top from our balcony and the bed. The owner, an architect and also the designer/builder of the place, precisely calculated and measured to maximize the magnitude and enjoyment of the stay for anyone. The bottom window edge was designed to be lower than normal heights just for you to enjoy the view from the bed. Amenity - Comfortable bed and bedding, sheets replaced every 2 days, daily fresh thick towels, small useful kitchen with all the pots and utensils you need. Everything is thoroughly cleaned daily by a charming lady. Comfortable twin bed sized antique sofa, Door and window shutters shut the bright light in the morning and noise at night. The living floor area was large enough for me to do the morning yoga with mat facing the ocean. Beach towels or anything else may be accommodated upon your request. The owner’s recommendations (a sheet found in your room) of restaurants and sights/beaches never betrayed our taste or our day. Location - very close the the pedestrian path and amongst the beautiful, popular part of town yet quiet at night. A variety of restaurants are walking distance for the local vegetable/meat/seafood dishes to choose from, and multiple mini markets are near by to grab water, groceries or needed items. A nice walk to Oia’s historical port which has fresh tasty seafood restaurants. A historical old town , Finikia is only 15 minutes away. Also bus stop to Santorini Airport or Thira is near. In addition, we emailed with questions prior to our stay and the owner replied promptly. She also text message using What’s App and Viber before/during the stay.
