Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere were over 100 steps to get down to the port area. Definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility problems.

GreeceI believe that there were certain failures in the decoration design of the rooms upon its recent renovation. Hotel rooms do not have a table of any kind which could be used for working or plainly placing a laptop. This essentially deprives the hotel from clients that might want to use the premises for remote working or simply giving a couple of hours of work during vacation time. Notwithstanding the above a table is an amenity of basic accommodation not a hotel that charges premium rates. The same applies to chairs. Rooms do not have a chair other than I think suites which have a sofa. That means one does not have a chair to relax in a position other than lying in the bed or simply tying the shoes. Furthermore, the room we stayed had only one side table and only one side lighting. Maria the hotel managed kindly provided a plastic table and two chairs that addressed our request. The air conditioning although of superior quality was positioned in such location that while sleeping was annoying resulting in shutting it down . I would suggest that the issues mentioned are resolved in the long term. It’s a pity to invest significant amounts in renovation and do not reach desirable results due to design fallacies. Finally, I think charge rates are a bit pricey when compared to other Greek island benchmarks. But I guess each island has its own market and middle to upper end accommodation in Samos is relatively monopolized so one should not expect to get significantly better rates (unless critical factors such as influx of high end customers from Turkey decrease in the future). Concluding , I definitely recommend this hotel for the customer who has decided to visit Samos a unique island in many aspects and is willing to pay a premium over other islands and also willing to pay a premium for staying in an accommodation above medium.
I understand that this hotel is targeted to the lower range of the high end customer market. Room charge was Euro 190 per night rate for a 17m2 room with a sea view although upgraded to a bigger 22m2 due to hotel client arrangements where the room did not have the extra amenities but just the extra empty space. I understand that the hotel is rated as a 3 star hotel because it does not have 5 star resort amenities such as extensive common space facilities, 24 room service etc. The hotel is located on the entrance of Pythagorio. It has a very good view of the Pythagorio bay and the Aegean . In the same time it is within walking distance ( I.e 5-10 min walk downhill and uphill when returning) from the port and all the village life Location wise I deem is the best option a visitor can get since it combines view to the Aegean with proximity to Pythagorio life. Most of the rooms have a sea view where there are two perspectives. The less privileged is the one we were staying where there is direct open sea view but on the right hand view one sees the national road heading downhill to the port. The hotel was recently added to the portfolio of the biggest resort Group in Samos that of Doryssa. Extensive renovation was performed . It is obvious that significant amounts were invested to hotel renovation. That includes superior interior ventilation / air conditioning system, superior noise and temperature insulation, wide screen high resolution Samsung tv, excellent shower and bathroom facilities. There were 5 standard electricity cables , 2 USB C type charging ports and 2 USB type B. Breakfast was of high quality and taste. Housekeeping services were daily and included a change of towels/bedsheets. There was 1 electrical vehicle charger.

TurkeyMaybe only a suggestion, I know that most guests would eat out in the fine restaurants in town at night but what about keeping a little bar area open for this late night sleep well occasion :-), or maybe a self-service small corner?
The welcome was out of a Hollywood Movie - open windows to a seaside terrace overlooking the bay, a fantastic welcome cocktail, the team so friendly and still professional, the rooms of course :-)

GreeceNot really my style, it lacks elements that make it Greek or traditional. It’s a very modern but westernized type of hotel which is great for many visitors.
Very modern rooms, high quality furniture and overall feel, great beds, amazing bathroom, very clean and new, comfortable and relaxing. The people were all kind and attentive.

AustraliaMy only suggestion would be to offer airport transfers but that is only a minor thing as airport is close enough for a cheap taxi drive.
My partner and I LOVED everything. The staff brought something special to our stay. They were warm, caring and friendly and catered to our needs. I said that even if the hotel was filing apart, we would return for the team.of people we found here. Exceptional is the word that describes the staff. The hotel itself was also fantastic and lacked nothing for us personally. Well positioned with access points close to everything.

United KingdomThe room was small for a delux so always tripping over cases on floor as nowhere else to put them. On check in we asked for a kettle which we got but no cups and we were told we can’t take them from pool bar and told no we can’t have any by reception. The pool area doesn’t have enough beds and could do with a clean up, green tide mark on pool and shower area dirty. Staff seemed a little robotic with no personality.
The rooms were clean and bright with good air conditioning and good shower. Modern decor and comfy beds. Pool with sunbeds and little bar serving food and drinks till 5pm. Nice elevated view of the sea and coast.
