GermanyWifi wasn‘t necessarily bad but you always seemed to be far away from the rooter therefore it was really slow and you got logged out from time to time the shower and sink seemed to use salty water, almost like the sea water
very nice stay at the hotel with very friendly staff. The room was nice and clean with an AC and the pool was really nice too. don’t worry about the location, the beach is reachable by foot and you can see a lot on the way there, there are also various rental places for scooters, quads or cars to discover the island the breakfast was really good for the price, we were always full afterwards ;)

United KingdomReally only the location as, if you do not have a drivers license and or no car hired then you have to walk a good 30 to 40 minutes to reach the beach, or 10 minutes to the nearest mini market
Outdoor pool was great, always kept clean, staff are extremely friendly and always make sure you have a clean room everyday, good food choices and choices of snacks as well.

United KingdomAll of the staff couldn’t be bothered. They had lifeless looks on their faces everyday. There was a little rat brat of a dog that barked every time you jumped in the pool, felt like launching it into the barren wasteland that surrounded the hotel property. The rooms were not even close together and one of the rooms given was practically falling apart to which the manager was oblivious too. The whole place just reeked depression and the owners wanted it’s guests gone as quick as possible. No wonder it had a 2 star rating, it was probably given that out of generosity to prevent it from falling out of business. Don’t even get me started on the food, I wouldn’t have even served that to the ‘dog’. One of the owners tried to shush us every night we returned to the hotel, like who are you shushing? You’re offering the cheapest rooms in Zante and expect people to be quiet on coming back from a night out? Don’t think so. In my opinion, I would never return here even if there was a nuclear apocalypse and it was the only remaining fallout bunker. Sorry portego, but sort it out.

RomaniaWe stayed 8 nights in this horrible accommodation in two rooms.In first place they gave us 2 rooms very bad and old and we asked to change, and they did. The new rooms were just a little bit better. There had a very bad smell (hard to breathe) combined with umidity, with insects inside, rests of cigarettes under the bed, with glasses very dirty. The fridge was in a horrible state with a bad smell, full of rust, and was not cooling as it suppost to, immagine that a spider had his home inside. The cleaning was made on the 4th day only, but they don't clean as normal people do, only check the rooms and if you are lucky they change bedsheets. I used my own towels because them were yellow not white... The restroom from room nr 2 does not even closing at all. They are not paying attention on nothing, everywhere is dust, dirty and old. You are lucky if you are not returning home with some disease! Trust me, it is worse then I can explain! In 8 days I didn't see someone cleaning the pool. I'm not pretending to much it's a 2 **, but at least a decent and clean place to sleep. See the photos attached.
Unfortunately I do not have something to add here! Everything was horrible regarding Portego. The worst stay of my life.

United KingdomVery basic, not much in the way of facilities. No breakfast even though the booking included breakfast. We did get a coffee when we asked. Snack bar wasn't open.
Staff very friendly. Room and linen clean. We only used for one night prior to catching a ferry. Was very cheap.
