Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomLocation was exactly what we expected from this small, but beautifully placed village. Our spacious room had a delightful view of the bay, being right on the waterfront. Very peaceful in late November but probably peaceful most of the year round. Ideal location for exploring the southern cape and the incredible tower villages of the Deep Mani.

AustraliaFriendly owner. It was great staying in one of the tower renovated homes . Spectacular scenery in Gerolimenas by the sea. A staff member Sati helped us with our luggage going upstairs as we stayed in the attic. He was lovely. We were also offered free water on arrival and departure. Free breakfast between 8 and 10am. 12pm checkout time. We could leave our bags after checkout for safekeeping in the afternoon before catching the bus back.

France- We had the cheapest room which was very nice but not much light as the windows were small (but this is linked to the type of building).
- Nice building which is characteristic of the architecture in the area. It makes you feel as if you are living in a building which is traditional to the area. - great location - large rooms with comfortable bed. - Towels provided for the beach - Breakfast included and generous portions - Friendly staff - drying rack available - excellent access to the beach

South AfricaRoom was very small and dark, we upgraded to a better room which was also small with tiny bathroom which wasn’t very clean. Only location in our 12 days cycling in Greece that charged us to charge our electric bikes.
Location was perfect, right at the beach. Outside looked good and restaurant on the premises

Nice hotel with free breakfast. Right on the beach If you choose the attic room it's quite small with low ceilings. Let the water run for a while to let the shower get warm. Need to be able to climb stairs

United KingdomDifficult to find in the village as uses a different name” Gerolimenas Hotel” or Akrogiali Restaurant. Also having to ask for basics like a kettle and an extra pillow / having to make the bed before sleeping in it!
traditional property in a setting which is beautiful and convenient for visitors to the deep Mani area.

United KingdomBathroom was on the small side. I would have liked more fruits at breakfast!
Location was fantastic, it was literally one stone’s throw away from the lovely beach which never gets high waves. Clean, blue waters, , fantastic. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and offered water for our rooms. Same when we checked out. At breakfast which was served at a reasonable time (8-10am) we could ask for additional items and the staff did their best to accommodate us

United Kingdomthe rooms were on the small side and because of the ‘tower’ architecture they had no balconies. the air conditioning worked well and the rooms were cleaned daily which was great but they are not rooms to spend much time in
very nice family run hotel with very friendly and hospitable owners and staff. there was an atmosphere of being known and looked after reminiscent of another time. the hotel is on the beach in front of a beautiful little bay. the hotel’s restaurant is also there.

GreeceThe room was very small, as well as the bathroom. One side of the bed was against the wall and the window. It had a view to the road which was very close to the window and we could easily be seen by people walking outside. The breakfast was basic and we had not many options. The restaurant is old and could be renovated.
The hotel is next to the sea, and the village is one of the most picturesque settlements of Mani with a small natural port with crystal clear waters. It is a quiet place and the room was cool thanks to the large stone walls of the tower. There was a desk in the room and a large closet.

BelgiumWe've had an excellent time during our stay here: the location is superb, you are literally right at the beautiful beach. The traditional room was very clean, big and had all the necessary amenities. The breakfast was honest and tasty, we personally liked it. The hotel has a familial character, which we enjoyed a lot. And last but not least: the staff is very friendly and welcoming. You can feel that they want to take care of you as a guest!
