We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomGreat central place to stay at Santorini with a pool. It is located within walking distance of the bus station which reaches beaches, airport and port. From the campsite you can walk I to Fira which is a great place to eat and watch the sunset

GreeceThe room smelled like cat piss (it was full of cats around). I don’t mind the cats around if there’s no smell. Also you have to pay extra to leave your bags during the day (after check-out) if you take them after 2pm which is ridiculous.
Price is the lowest in the island.

Australiathe walk to town is up a hill, which got tiring after a while in the heat. the tent was incredibly hot during the day but the fan helped a little. at night it actually cooled, which i hadn't seen comments say, so that was good. we just slept on top of the sheets and used our beach towels as blankets when it got a bit cold. fan is medium sized and works at night, but doesn't do much during the day.
the tent was surprisingly spacious. just enough room for two people. the pool is so good, it is so pretty, very big and the vibe up in the bar area is great! the whole property is gorgeous looking. the bathrooms are big. my first shower was hot which was amazing, second one was cold, but that's okay. mirrors were great. i also saw comments about dirtiness and bed bugs, however we did not find this.

Belarusthe shower room (in the room for 6 people) doesn't close (the latch opened spontaneously), also there isn't any coat hook there. Everything requires extra charge (leaving luggage until check-in time or a towel).

United KingdomSome nights it was quite loud because of the music and the loud guests but it was workable
Absolutely LOVED the staff. The women who works in the kitchen part was the sweetest lady ever, always making sure we are alright she even gave us some free coke colas to go with our dinner. The food there was exceptionally delicious, especially when it was freshly cooked. The bar and the bartender were amazing, loved having cocktails while tipping my toes in the pool. Even though it's super cheap here, it was SO worth the money. I miss it already. :))

SpainRestaurant prices are a bit high for a campsite. They ask you for a 50€ deposit when check-in in cash.
My second stay after many years and the campsite looks much better now. Nice swimming fool, big shared rooms, and great showers. Great choice at a reasonable price in the overpriced Santorini, and a short walk to the city center

BrazilWhen you book an accomodation that costs less than the average, you expect to find a simple spot, with no luxury/amenities, but at least a safe place to rest. I've been a single traveler for more than 10 years and this place was, easily, the worst I've ever attended. The shared rooms are more than dirty, I'd say that they weren't cleaned since their inauguration. The "private" bathrooms are disgusting, not to mention that the shower is above the toilet, so you can imagine how things get after someone's bath, not to mention the lack of space. They don't offer a shared kitchen or regular kitchen items such as cutlery, dishes, pans or even cups (glass, paper or plastic). Since they claim themselves a shared accomodation, those items are expected to be provided but guests couldn't access not even a microwave or hot water. And, for me, the most critical: the staff, specially the ones that work at night - bar and frontdesk are so rude and aggressive that make all guests fear for their own safety. The exception stays for the restaurant/market couple (specially the lady) that are very kind and welcoming, eventhough they don't speak a lot of English. They ask for a 50 euros (cash) deposit but this isn't mentioned anywhere on Booking. The last note: this accomodation is like 400m far from Fira main bus stop, down hill, so keep in mind that you always have to go uphill wherever you'd like to go. I know that Santorini is overpriced and that you wish to save money, but take a second look at other options before booking this accomodation, or consider staying as short as possible here, specially for women.
The A/C worked as expected. Good swiming pool.

AustraliaThe room was run down, with door handles barely staying on, and powerpoints were coming off the wall. Our room had a kitchen (sink, stove, oven) but no cutlery, crockery, pots, pans etc we were only provided with 3 plastic disposable cups. When we wanted to cook we had to borrow from the on-site restaurant which was awkward. The aircon in the room was dusty which made us start to feel unwell by the end if our stay
Great location, the staff were super friendly helping us with problems encountered in the room, bar/pool area was big, always busy and lively.

United KingdomI arrived, had a look at the room, and decided to go elsewhere. The night before my arrival, I read some negative reviews, and contacted the manager to ask if there was any possibility of a refund. This was denied, although in fairness, that was in line with the policy when booking. So unfortunately, I did lose the money I had paid. The tent itself was rather grubby, and I just did not get a good feeling about the place. The manager was rather surly and rude on my arrival, Which was another reason I did not feel comfortable staying.
In all honesty, I did not stay. I had a look at the room and decided to go elsewhere. So there is not a lot I can say I liked.

Sloveniabasicly in house rules you have that there should not be a noice that would disturb others sleep, but the bar next to your door had really loud music. We stayed there 2 times first we stayed 2 nights and some kids had parties till midnight so we werent able to sleep in normal times. Second time we spend one night since we had morning flight and the bar had party till 2am so loudly i even heared music through my earplugs so i couldn't sleep. So if you are looking for peaceful sleep dont book here. Also the rooms are really old, the bed was broken so there was hole in the middle. Basicly had just 2 hours sleep so wasnt even worth booking for the last night.
the staff is really friendly and you got pool just next to your room

AustraliaThere tent was not described as an actual tent on the website. The fan barley did anything and was just blowing hot air around making it impossible to stay in there. The late noise was also a massive issue not being mentioned once on the website. Our first night music was played from the bar till around 2am. Waste of money
the facilities were good and location was suitable

United KingdomPool water dirty I’m sure is not treated with anything as cats were drinking from it. It smells like a sewage in the entire campsite even at the pool. Cleaning of showers and toilets is done only in the morning, by afternoon the bins are overflowing and there is no toilet paper available. There is no hot water at the showers not even warm. The bar with loud music is open every iaht till 2 am at least serving alcohol to underaged kids 15-17 years old. The tent is a metal structure that overheats day time and is impossible to stay in, night time full of bugs and mosquitos as there is no netting. I was bitten every night by bed bugs and when requested to change location I was presented with a room that not even a dog could sleep in for extra 300 euros after I already paid 315 euros through booking.com and they didn’t even helped with anything saying that the manager of the campsite will not refund anything and the conditions are what I paid for. From the pictures it doesn’t how the reality of the place. Kids are sleeping on the ground every night without any health and safety protection. The kitchen is dirty, filthy and not even staff eat there (!!! I wonder why?!?) One fried egg on a piece of toast it is 8 euros and the breakfast option at 9 euro as advertised is actually whatever the campsite decides the night before from 10 euros up. At the kitchen they sell cigarettes at double the price on the package if you want to buy. Tables are full of ants and chipped at corners, the entire furniture is older than my dead grandma. Pool chairs are broken and uncomfortable. At checkin they ask for 50 euro deposit and if you don’t have cash they retain your passport for the while duration which I am sure is illegal but you are not given any other option or you can go without being refunded the paid amount. Police came by on my first day in as a lady reported use of drugs on site. Reception people are awful specially the mama her of the campsite.
Only the bar staff was nice, coffee very good and bar prices decent.

SwitzerlandOne of the staff members was very rude. It's written on the rule board that after checking out from the room at 11 am, we can stay until 2:00 pm at the property and leave our luggage / use the pool. When we went to check out at 11 am, the staff member said that we have to check out with our luggage at 11 am and leave the property immediately, else we have to pay 5 euros. This receptionist was an older guy... Rude behavior for petty money laundry.
Poolside was good and food was cheap.

SwedenJust one suggestion as July Aug are heated months and full of mosquitoes too so would be better if given mosquitoes net at night and fan quality could be better. Otherwise I had fantastic experience.
We had perfect stay at the Santorini Camping Hostel! From the perfect poolside vibes to delicious meals made with care by the superb restaurant staff, every moment was filled with warmth and joy. Huge thanks to the friendly and supportive team for making our trip extra special. Compared to Santorini beaches I enjoyed in hostel pool more hahaha
