Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomLoud music all night and construction site by day. Tents where dirty and the bathrooms/showers where extremely old and dirty. Free Tips: - Bring bug spray - Bring your own toilet roll (sometimes the toilet facilities run out!) - Bring warmer clothes / blanket / sleeping bag for sleeping in (it can get a little chilly at night and our tent only had one additional blanket.)
Good location, easy walk to Fira Centre

ItalyThe frequency of the toilet cleaning should be increased, and the volume of the disco music decreased.
Great staff, very helpful and kind. Good location. The facilities met the expectations. Pleasant garden, excellent pool.

United KingdomMy partner and I were originally supposed to stay in a bed tent but this was full of mould and leaking in the rain and this aggravated my asthma so much I couldn’t breathe properly (usually it’s well handled and I have no symptoms). Because of this we asked to move rooms and were happy to pay the difference between the rooms (despite the bed tent causing my health to deteriorate). However, we were overcharged for the ‘upgrade’ to another room - a twin private room (they charged us an extra night on top of the price difference for the private room and didn’t tell us and we still have not received a refund). They also expected a €50 cash safety deposit on check-in in case of damages. Though we paid significantly more for this private room, there were odd stains everywhere, the toilet did not flush, the fridge did not work and there were power outages throughout our stay. This was the most expensive place we stayed in our entire trip and definitely the worst.
Decently close to town

New ZealandFirst of all, I suggest thinking twice before sleeping in the tents (perhaps the rooms might be a better idea), espicially if according to the weather forecast it might be rainy, since the roof of the tents isn't hermetically covered. Unfortunatelly, we woke up at 4:00 AM since all our bed, floor and stuff was flood and soaked in water!!! When I asked the receptionist to change our tent, it turned out that even the second one (and even the third one) had holes in the roof and wasn't hermetically covered! So, not only we couldn't sleep well, but all our stuff was soaked in water Moreover, the staff unfortunately wasn't so nice and helpful
In my opinion, the only good thing in this camp site is the location. It's located right in the center of Thera, very close to the main bus station, where you can take a bus to various spots in the island. Moreover, it's very close to the restaurants and the souvenir shops in the center of Thera (about 7 minutes walk). In addition, there is a pool and a minimarket in the camp site.

United KingdomI would dress up the dorms and put new beds in, but that’s just my idea for the place.
I like this place you can chill by the pool and talk to people have a drink of beer or whatever. Val and his bro Randy are super cool dudes. Staff are nice. Short walk to the town. Affordable for a visit to Santorini a beautiful island.

SingaporeWe checked in late and we were given beds that were not made- our beds had used blankets and used bedsheets. We were given a new set of sheets to make our own beds but in general, the premises felt quite dirty and my skin even started breaking out. Bring your own pillowcases. The room also smelled stale. I wasn’t given a blanket on the first day as well so it was freezing in the room Locked lockers weren’t provided so I felt a bit uneasy leaving my belongings at the hostel. Also, we were at a room near the bar and around 10-11.30pm the music would be blasting so I would recommend ear plugs. We were thankful to make a handful of friends at the hostel but in May it wasn’t very lively, though maybe it’s different in the high season
Location was near Fira city centre, about a 10 min walk from the bus station and a couple of nice cafes Cheapest accommodation in the whole of Fira or even Santorini, but it’s really bare bones Nice pool but just too cold to swim in during may

AustraliaThe whole place seems to have been last decorated about 30 years ago. My room was tiny, cramped and ugly with a lumpy mattress and a barely-functioning shower. There was no jug available, either in the room or from reception, even though there was a bar fridge that acted as a bedside table
This is an extremely budget option in an overpriced market - since I was willing to offset the location and cost with the standard of accommodation, I was satisfied with the stay overall

FranceProbably the worst hostel I've ever seen. Dorm and shower were disgusting. The mattress are stained in many places, and I think there might be bedbugs.. I left 2 days earlier than I was supposed to... Sure, it's conveniently located, but I would avoid at all cost.

Everything was really nice! the place does not have luxury, but it is really good for the price! We just need to walk a little bit and you are at the center of the city. The reception was really careful with my check-in and out.

FranceMy tent was poorly located, at the end of a corridor with lots of neighbour tents around, which entailed more noisy environment. In addition, the way to the showers and toilets included some steps not very practical, especially by night.
I have enjoyed very much the swimming pool and its surroundings where to take a drink or a breakfast. The camping offers a very good quality rate compared to othar accomodation in Santorin.
