Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomCould not fault a thing
It was just so secluded and relaxing yet just steps from the main square for restaurants, winery and view points, the Family bakers was a few mins up the road for a great breakfast. Staff delightful and could not hope for a more relaxing start to our holiday.

United KingdomSome decor was slightly tired in places e.g. chipped paint on walls. Would stay here again and recommend it for others.
Very friendly host who met us at the accommodation after we arrived. Transfer from the port and to the plane were organised for us with minimal effort. Quiet location, very private and sizeable. Coffee machine, air conditioning and pool were excellent benefits. 5 minutes walk to main square with 4-5 restaurant options and ice cream shop, 2 minute walk to bakery and bus stops. Daily cleaning service with friendly staff. We stayed with small children and felt safe though did all sleep in one room as felt we would not have heard children in the night if we had used both bedrooms due to thick walls, also needed to watch carefully around the pool. Beautiful accommodation.

Our children absolutely loved the pool. My Wife and I thought the villa was amazing. It catered for all our Family. It was within walking distance of a fabulous restaurant called Raki. Great food and very warm welcome.

United StatesThere was nothing to dislike. The villa was amazing.
The villa was absolutely beautiful, from the pool, to the bathroom, to the incredibly comfortable beds. If we visit Santorini again, we’re definitely staying here.

Theres not mich i didnt like about the vila. It was comfortable, spacious, clean and air con was provided. Maria couldnt have been more helpful any request wasnt a problem. The cleaners did a great job everyday. The pool was cleaned every 1 to 2 days. The area outside was perfect for family fun. It was private.

CanadaThe shower overflowed into the small bathroom fairly easily and took a while to drain but that seems to be a common occurrence in Greece.
Very charming with a nice outdoor space for lounging. Spacious with nice touches like robe and slippers. Conveniently located right in the village by restaurants, ice cream, coffee.

United KingdomThere were no real negative points, it gave us what we needed.
Having the 2 separate caves worked perfectly for us because my Mum travelled with us and gave us our own separate areas whilst being together. The beds were also very comfortable which is always a challenge when you travel. The team that ran, maintained and cleaned the property were brilliant and couldn’t do enough to help.

ChinaThe experience here is definitely unforgettable! We had a very pleasant few days, we arrived in the middle of the night, but as soon as we left the airport we had a pick up service arranged by the hotel, and on arrival there was also immediately a very friendly staff who gave us information about the house and helped us with our luggage. The room was very satisfactory and had everything we needed. Thank you to the manager of the ducato for all the service he gave us. It was the best experience I had in Greece!

LatviaIt’s an experience in itself, not just a base to explore Santorini. The villa is apparently over 100 years old, every detail is unique to it and feels special. Definetly the one we’ll remember from the whole Greece trip. Surrounding town is well worth a visit, cosy and quiet during the day, the town square gets lively at dinner time. Loved our stay in the villa and the kids loved the pool. Inner courtyard is sunny and has complete privacy from the surrounding houses. The host is very kind and welcoming.

United StatesWe stayed in the 1878 mansion/renovated wine cellar and that was truly a unique and luxurious experience. Maria was a fantastic hostess who went outside her way to ensure that we had an amazing experience. I had made a mistake and booked a 2 room villa initially that my kids were not comfortable with (the rooms were separated and they were a little afraid to sleep in the other room by themselves). Maria understood this and upgraded us to the mansion so that we would all be comfortable. While Megalochori is a little away from the charm of Fira/Oia, Maria and team’s hospitality made it a great stay.

United KingdomIt was not a private villa as been described on descriptions, there were some other tenants on the first floor. Swimming pool was super cold and no place for taking sunbath as garden it is been covered by trees. Most of the taxi drivers were not punctual, once we waited 1 hour for a taxi while we booked it a night before with Maria.
The host Maria was so nice and was reachable 24/7. She was so helpful and welcoming. There were some nice restaurants nearby.
