Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Well located for easy access to the lagoon as well as to the town center. The lake view from the veranda is great. The apartment is thoughtfully setup and feels roomy.

It was in a residential area, so not very touristy, and unfortunately it was without a view of the sealake!
Clean, spacious, enough place to park the car, a nice shower. It was a good stay.

The property is in a very good location, close to the center and everything you probably might want to visit if you are on vacation in Messolongi. It was clean and well equipped for a few days stay. Plus the hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Very nice touch the amenities in our room. Keep up the good work.

We only found shampoo and not a body soap.
Nice place, 12 minutes walking distance from the city center, clean and well decorated.

It would have been good to have some additional furniture in bedroom like a chest of drawers.

We failed to get the coffee machine to work, and a microwave oven would be a useful addition. But there are no actual complaints.
Definitely a nice place to stay. The neighbourhood is fairly quiet, but close to town centre, parking is right next to the building, the kitchenette and bathroom OK. The breakfast included in the price was modest, but this was not unexpected. I especially liked the large bed in the bedroom – one of the best I’ve ever slept on. Powerful air conditioning. The property is not entirely new, but still looks like new. Solid 9 on my scale (10 being reserved for perfection).

Lack of hangers in the bathroom and some small sandwich plates, macaroni sieve and cheese grater. Small Greek coffee cups would be useful. Attention must be given to the fridge freezer compartment as it was so full of ice that I could not make ice cubes, so I defrosted it myself.
Interior decoration very professional and all new.

No shutter on the door to the balcony so it got light early in the morning. Nowhere to eat in walking distance… but the location is clear at time of booking!
Clean and comfortable with all we need. Good value for money. Short drive to the main attractions.

The apartment had lots of great natural light, spacious balcony, quiet neighborhood and clean living space. It was a short walk into town for shopping and eating as well as easy to get to the lake.

We had an amazing stay! The hosts are very friendly and helping! We had some minor issues with the internet in the beginning but they immediately came and solved it. Very cozy, homey and modern-looking apartment, supplied with everything needed & everything was clean. For which we are very grateful!

The apartment has view at the sea. It is very close the the center. A Lidl store is at 1.5 km. The beach of the city (clean and with decent prices) is at around 4-5 km. There is a very good restaurant near this beach. The owner and his family are very friendly. The offered very good information about beaches, stores, restaurants, etc.

The air conditioner is a disaster. It barely cools. At temperatures over 35 degrees Celsius, it's a big problem. And the shower hose is broken - more precisely, it leaks from the side so badly that you can barely take a shower.
The owner is friendly. The view from the apartment is beautiful.
