I loved this hostel. It is a super clean, organized hostel, well-designed & trendy great for solo travelers. This is a perfect place to meet people, it is not a party hostel so this was perfect for older adult people who are looking for a clean, fun, exciting experience in Athens. The location is amazing next to all you need, in a trendy young area with lots of bars and restaurants. It is 7 min by walking distance from the tourist area. Recommend this hostel for a more authentic experience. THE STAFF WAS SO HELPFUL!!

Nice hostel with excellent staff ( 24h recepción ). Spacious aircondicioned rooms. Good wifi connection. Lockers under the beds. Bathroom was cleaned every day. Very safe in general, rooms and central entrance open with passeord. Nice minimal decoration, neoclassical building. Bohemian neighbourhood with lots of cafés and restaurants. Metro station ( Panepistimio) in 5min walking distance.

Although it's not very far, I would prefer to stay a little bit more in the center next time, since I like to be able to have quick stops at the hostel during the day. For example to pick something up I forgot to take. Another thing that made my stay a bit less comfortable were some other guests in my room who decided it was ok to put on the (very bright) main light at midnight. Not the hostels fault of course, but maybe they could hang up some signs to remember people not to do that and to keep noise to a minimum (of course it's sad that people don't automatically do this...). Last minor suggestion for improvement: bigger bins in the bathroom because you can't throw paper in the toilet so the bins rapidly get full.

Super friendly staff. Extremely clean! Super comfortable beds with everything you need (light, power plug). Nice common areas. Big lockers under the bed. Safe street. Easy acces with codes instead of keys.

When in Athens is by far the best hostel I have ever stayed in, really well located, the building is beautiful and new, very comfortable bed, super clean bathrooms and the staff makes you feel at home. I had a problem with a cab driver and they were very helpful and nice with me. Great experience!! Thanks guys!

Minor nitpicks alert, very minor nitpicks The low ratio of bathrooms/beds The curtains as shower covers without a proper door (personal issue due to cultural differences) the lack of chairs in the room (no chairs, either you go up to your bed or you go to the common areas)

I had a very heavy suitcase and the staff helped me carry it up and down the stairs. They were so kind and welcoming, no matter what I needed. This is why the atmosphere in this hostel is as inviting and beautiful as it is - the people there make all the difference!

The hostel is not really in the city centre and to reach the centre byt walk it takes up to 20 mins, otherwise is 10/15 mins to walk to the metro stop and then take the metro to the centre. The bathrooms don't have windows , besides the windows in the toilets which are inside the bathrooms, so not very hepful to air the bathrooms. On our second night, some other guests were talking and walking very loud outside our dorm. Moreover, we had an early awakening and there were 2 night shift receptionists, who also spoke aloud . So, the dorm wasn't very well isolated.

The staff is very nice, Angelina was the reception who welcomed us in very warm way . She suggested us place to eat ( her favourites ones!) and also how to move around the city. The hostel is new and everthing was working very well. The room and the bathrooms were very clean

The noise when the doors shut at night. However, I couldn't hear any noise from outside although it's close to the bars.

The bed is comfortable and this hostel is spotless. Good storage in the room and security system as well. It's in a cool area where locals go, not in the main tourist area but all the touristy sites are within walking distance.

The bathrooms stay so hot. If you are looking to get ready in the mirror at all, you will sweat the whole time. There is very little airflow, so when people take showers it gets extremely stuffy.

My room was nice and clean and the staff are very friendly. The backyard is really nice as well.

Now is the time in visit Greece. When in Athens is a must. Book imediately! They have great beds, amazing house, all very clean and the location is special and safe. What else?Staff is the best I had in hospitality!

Because the area is lively, there can be a lot of noise at night (earplugs strongly recommended for going to sleep early).

This place is very nice, everything is super clean (even the bathroom) and the beds are comfortable. It’s pretty close to the center by foot, close to public transportation and the area is lively.

It was quite noisy at night, and the location of the hostel is far off from the main area. Its also not easy to walk there as there is some slope.

I liked the external facade of the room and that there is a garden at the ground floor. Rooms are locked with pin code, which is extremely convenient as we do not have to bring a keycard around.

There's not much space im the showers for changing and the ventilation struggles a bit when people take hot showers.

Super clean, super modern hostel. The kitchen was well equipped, there was plenty of space and even some free food (oil, spices, coffee). Location is right next to some cool bars, but not loud.

The showers were quite large, but there was basically almost no space where to hang the clothes, if not for a single small hook per shower.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The structure was quite new, and had a nice patio on the backyard.

The blankets, while nice and fluffy, are not very breathable. I found myself waking up in a sweat often because of how the blankets trap in heat and moisture. Also, I recommend adding curtains to each bed for some additional privacy, if possible!

We thought the staff was very kind and supportive. We liked the location of the hostel and appreciated how clean everything was. I would recommend When In Athens hostel for short-term stays in Athens. It's also within walking distance from Mount Lycabettus.
