Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

the blanket is not good. old type instead of warm quilt. no elevator, there was not a small personal light so if someone wants light its on for everyone.

The showers are not made with having women's need for safety, privacy and respect in mind. Milkglass is not enough when the male shower is immediately attached and when people walking by the aisle can also see. There was no way I would take a shower there.
The room was clean and neat. The staff was friendly.

The luggage storage room is open all day every day and we did not feel comfortable leaving our stuff there. There was also a pretty long walk up several flights of stairs with our bags to get to the room, but it wasn't too bad.
The room was great and the showers were individually lockable with a sink and mirror inside and plenty of space. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

You habe to pay 2 euro pro opening for a lockbox. Pro opening.. It would be more logical to let fix a price per day or per stay. The common place for work or leisure, as seen in the fotos. does not exist anymore..There is a very poor terrace on the last floor very dirty. Access to the upper bank beds from a mobile wooden ladder that can get dangerous to slip away. Should be better fixed or screwed.
The balcony, the cleaniness, the upper linen in bed + blanket, enough place for shower,.simple but good ventilated bath, privacy in the bath, enough ventilation in the room from the balcony door+ air conditioner, water tube and mirror in the room. The district is special, Mokka Café from Athinas str.,is great traditional style café for working days

There is NO lounge...gathering space...or functioning kitchen. The dilapidated open rooftop does NOT serve any good purpose except for smokers.
Great location.......near the Metro.....and markets. Clean room and comfortable beds/linens.

The lighting in the room could have been better, and a curtain to pull accross on each bed and a night light. Also a common area which has a kitchen would be great or a fridge on each floor to store food.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hostel is very close to monastriraki square and all amenities. I really enjoyed my stay, the bed was very comfortable and it was quiet at night.

No longer any kind of kitchen facility! Needs securable lockers in the rooms. They have them in the hall for a 2 euro one time use charge. 2 euros everytime you open the door. No kitchen means, unfortunately, I will not stay in this hostel again.
Zeus is where I always used to stay in Athens. They have replaced the room doors which is a significant improvement

No proper common area, only the rooftop terrace with quite uncomfortable sitting. The shower felt it lacks privacy and the shower head change would be nice.
Location - 5 minutes walk to Monastriraki square or closest metro station.

Great stay at Zeus Hostel! My experience at Zeus Hostel was fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly and always ready to help with city recommendations and transportation tips. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Athens, making it easy to access all the main tourist attractions. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The atmosphere was also very welcoming, perfect for meeting other travelers. If you’re looking for a well-located, comfortable place with great value for money, Zeus Hostel is an excellent choice.

Unfortunately no hot water on the 4th floor, you have to go down to 2nd floor to find it. Could be useful to have some hooks in the room to put your towel (at least one for each guest). No personal lights.

Zeus is a simple hostel without any luxury. It has a terrace to sit on, but it's a shame it's not well maintained, it could be beautiful. For the price I recommend it.

Not helpful with luggage storage or early check-in. A lot of stairs. Not possible to lock one of the common showers. Noisy AC. Broken washbasin in the room. Water from shower not coming out properly.
