Beautifully situated boutique hostel at the lakeside. Terrace with a stunning view of the lake including sunrise. Good bar service with happy hour and reasonable prices. Big kitchen, fully equipped.

There were a few things that were not ideal: - bathroom smell not too good, showers not very warm - there was bad Communication about the free bed in our room- we were told it was not booked but then at night someone from the hostel appeared and used the bed for some hours and left again - this happened twice and we were told off that we had locked the door. Would have been nice to have been informed. - shuttle bookings : the hostel organised/ booked the shuttle / bus for us to Belmopan, Belize. We had a voucher paid for the whole trip. It turned out our bus was not going all the way to Belmopan and told us short notice that the only option was a taxi (which is not true). Instead of taking us to the bus station we were dropped off on the side of the road at the entrance of San Ignacio where a (probably befriended) taxi driver was waiting who wanted 40 US dollars each for the trip to Belmopan. The bus company gave us 5 Belize dollars each (2,5 USD) and just left. We ended up walking to the bus station in San Ignacio and organised the rest of the trip with chicken buses which worked out well - but still it was not a nice experience and failed our trust in the agency the hostel had made us pay for. Make sure the shuttles are safe options and plan a lot of extra time (The whole trip took us 7,5 hours instead of 5 as we were told).

Friendly and helpful staff, good location, clean rooms. We could easily change our booking and add an extra night and could stay in the same dorm the whole time.

No complaints!!

Such a cute hostel!! Stayed in a 3-bed shared room for 3 nights and had no complaints. The staff was amazing - so friendly and accommodating - made the place feel like home and were able to set me up with tours easily. The facilities were so clean and beds were comfy. Fans/ac at night was a bonus. Plus, the view from the roof were stunning. The little hostel dog was the cutest too. Overall, a very safe, quieter place in a great location - 10/10 would recommend.

Great hostel - wonderful location and clean. Staff very friendly - I booked Tikal through them and they advised me on bus to take for my onward journey. If you want to sleep at night I suggest you stay here and if you like you can visit the party hostel nearby. I met people who were staying at the party hostel nearby and they wished they had stayed at Don Cenobio!

There was an organised party next to the room I stayed on saturday. However, this was clearly communicated throughout whatsapp. Keep in mind that saturdays can be very loud!

The water was filtered in an eco type way so tasted abit funny. For the air conditioning you had to ask for it to be turned on and then in the morning they came in and turned it off at 7am..which we found odd. The curtains could have been wider to fully cover the light from the window. The room has an bathroom for the dorm room which was great but the sink tap didn’t work so you either had to use the other bathrooms or use the shower. The shower also sprayed everywhere.

The dorm room was bright and airy, bed was comfortable and a good amount of pillows! The room has a big fan and each bunk bed has a mini fan also. There is air-conditioning as well. The shower was warm which was a luxury compared to other places! The location is great, right on the water and next to boats that can take you to the rope swing. There is a bar at the top that has an amazing view and a good happy hour. As well as numerous games to play. They have a cute dog and cat that live there also which was just an added bonus! Staff are also very helpful and friendly. There was also free water and a good sized kitchen to use.

The Host was amazing Friendly and gave us a Lot of advices, the kitchen was so clean and we could make smothies for free!! The terasse has a beautiful view over the lake, just amazing! Stayed there 6 days, just because of the hostel 😍

You can't use the terrace during the morning until 12pm and, after the check-out, if you want to leave your luggage for a while you have to pay for It (25Q) and for using the facilities too (50Q extra).

The hostel is very clean and beautiful.
