Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe pool should be heated, it was too cold to enjoy, the Jacuzzi by the pool should be available at no extra cost throughout the day and evening, and at night the Domo rooms should have the option of portable heaters, it was freezing.
Beautiful views, lovely staff, great spa massages and treatments, friendly atmosphere and mostly quiet and private

United StatesWe stayed in one of the yurts. Very comfortable except they are not sound proof. The heavy metal beat from the bar across the street was very loud.
The breakfast was great

United StatesThe shower didn’t have hot water, it was lukewarm at best. It got rather cold at night as the domes aren’t insulated. Overall, it’s wayyy too expensive. Yes it’s a beautiful location but everything from the services to the food was much too expensive for what we received, and much more expensive than any other place around.
Beautiful place in a beautiful location, with sweet staff.

United KingdomThe dome is like a glamping tent and whilst it looks beautiful there is absolutely zero way of blocking out noise in there and you can hear absolutely everything going on outside. If there are people being loud in the other rooms or domes there's no real way to escape it. There is a bar right next door which has loud music / karaoke / open mic although it does close at 10pm The lakeside path borders the property, which is nice to walk but and I did feel a bit like you're on display with people peering in as people on the path can see straight into the property. The pool is nice but it's pretty small and not many sun loungers. It's usually quiet though so not often an issue during my stay.
I stayed for 4 nights in one of the domes which look beautiful in the pictures and are nice and spacious inside. The room was clean and has an amazing view of the lake. Breakfast was generally really good and tasty with eggs to your liking plus avocado, beans, plantain, cheese and coffee, juice etc. The bar service was great. Really nice cocktails and smoothies and you can take these anywhere outside. Before my stay i booked the Revive spa day which was really great and was really good value for money in my opinion. It was a quiet day at the hotel when I did this which made all the difference. The therapists were really amazing and it was really relaxing. I'd definitely recommend this.

NetherlandsThe pods are not well insulated so we had a lot of noise in the evening from the café next door and in the night from dogs barking.
Location right on the water with great views of the volcanoes opposite. Nice rooms and bathrooms; seems to be quite new.

United StatesThey charged more than what I reserved on booking.com. I was supposed to pay $198 but they said my credit didn't work, although my credit card has been working at other places in Guatemala. They charged us $213 which included a 6% credit card fee on my friend's credit card instead and refused to honor the price from booking.com, although I showed them the confirmation email with $198. Even when I tried to pay in USD cash they charged more, $224. I called my credit card company and they said nothing is wrong with my card and they haven't seen any rejected charges. They also said that the hotel should've called them before I arrived or during my stay if they had an issue with my credit card. I would like to get some type of refund.

AustraliaThe included breakfast was only a croissant and fruit, no larger or hot options. Also my room was right next to a bar that played loud live music until 10pm followed by another 30-60mins of loud post bar human chatter.
The rooms were in a really fun and interesting iglu style. It was so close to the lake, boat dock and many amazing cafes on the ‘hippy highway’.

Czech RepublicThe views are beatiful, the room comfortable and nice but what really surpriced us were the charges when paying by crrdit card. In the restaurant they wanted to charge us 6.5% above the price for paying by CC. The guatrmalan law prohibits that so when we said that they took it off as an exception. And then the same at te reception when charging us for the parking.but this time they wanted to charge 18% above and it was just parking. I think that they are acustummed to charge that as mayority of the guests are foreigners and nobody tells them anything. But that is not right as per the guatemalan law it is prohibited to do that. So that is what really changed our opinion of the hotel as location and hotel really nice but this experience when paying was really not correct.

The staff was very friendly and accomodation. We got early breakfast when we were up before breakfast started and helped us arrange our travel back to Guatemala City for a good price. The barman made excellent cocktails and the bed was possibly the most comfortable one we ever slept in.

United StatesDO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT A RELAXING OR COMFORTABLE STAY. 2 out of our 3 days here the power, WiFi, fans, showers and sinks go out frequently for hours even though the surrounding cafes and hotels have power. After hours of waiting and sweating in the rooms which become saunas during the day, especially with no working fan, I had to go somewhere else and pay more money just to use these. The management does not care to inform you of this common event, even though I asked about strong WiFi before booking because I need it for work, or help make up for it in anyway. They just tell you it is out of their control, even though others around us still have power . Stay at Lush and avoid this place. The rooms also get much hotter during the day , without a working fan it becomes a sauna and with no working shower or sink without power (which is absurd) it is a sick joke to stay here.

LuxembourgManagement/Ownership got it very wrong. There's a hell lot of communication about rules and what not to do. Sorry, you want to be upscale and charge accordingly? Stop treating me as an uncivilised. Culminating in having staff screening the room before check out. revise your business case if you're worried about stolen towels....
Location, installations and especially staff are very pleasant.
