Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GuatemalaA selling point for me was that our room had a Jacuzzi tub, but ”because of Covid” it was disabled. Covid’s been around long enough that a website can be updated. Further, Covid isn’t water born.
The property was beautifully decorated, they were lovely flowers everywhere. The staff were wonderful the breakfast was good.

United StatesRooms to the rear might be quieter than the front rooms but not a big deal.
The building is beautiful, the rooms are very nice with good WiFi and shower, very nice breakfast, but the best part was the staff. They are great, very pleasant and helpful. Great views from the 3rd floor sitting area. Close to Parque Central.

United KingdomThe lock on my door didn't work very well.
This is a beautiful, old hotel with traditional furnishings and stunning views from the rooftop patio. It is very tranquil and a great place to return to after visiting the town. The staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast. I have always wanted to stay here but never have, and am very glad I did!

United StatesOur room was very, very small. there wasn’t enough space for our luggage and I had to crawl from the end of the bed to get in because suitcases took up the aisle. Our room also opened right into the courtyard, so as soon as breakfast started setting up at 6:30, we woke up. We would definitely get one of the bigger rooms in the back of the property that also would allow us to sleep more next time.
The property was so quiet and relaxing. The courtyard and rooftop were gorgeous and peaceful. We also loved being able to sit on the various couches around the property and read or talk. The location was perfect and very centrally located.

United KingdomOur ensuite came with a somewhat dated bath with shower over - a little awkward to climb into to take a shower and would have preferred a normal walk-in shower. WiFi was a little weak at times and sockets with usb points would have been helpful. There was a little noise noticeable in our room from the bar next door but this wasn't too obstructive and it didn't go on late and I think most places this near the centre would have the same. These were all minor points though and we wouldn't hesitate to thoroughly recommend this lovely hotel and would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful building and decor, good sized room. We were in room 201 which had a cute little exterior patio area with table and chairs. Communal areas were lovely, with lots of alternative seating areas, beautiful plants and interesting furnishings and features. Great roof top terrace. Self-serve good coffee available throughout our stay. Good breakfast, although this was buffet style rather than fully serviced. They were happy to store our luggage when we arrived way before check-in time. Great location - very central and a lovely coffee shop / restaurant just a few metres away.

SwedenI loved this hotel so much. We decided to extend our night but the price was to high, like 120$ for a night! Beautiful and spacious rooms set around a couple of courtyards. What I think sets this apart from many other options in Antigua is the roof terrace - stunning views around the city and up to the volcanos which you can watch erupting in the evening! Bed was exceptionally comfy, staff super friendly, breakfast plentiful( two different options) Hot water took a while to get going but apart from that, no complaints

United StatesFirst of all the design of this colonial house, the court yards lush with greens and the small fountains, and the patio on the roof. The location is excellent, 2 blocks from the arch. Nice breakfast options.

SpainFor the cost of the hotel, I felt we could have had a little bit better breakfast, or two-ply toilet paper. Also, the beds were a bit uncomfortable.
The hotel was right in the middle of antigua and very cute. The decor was nice and the staff was fantastic!

United StatesThe breakfast is delicious and the location is amazing! You step outside and you're right in the center of Antigua. Pretty much everything we did in the city was within a 5-15 minute walk. The courtyard is beautiful, and the roof has an amazing view of Volcán de Agua, Volcán de Fuego, the Santa Catalina Arch, and more. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved our stay here and we hope to come back someday!
