There was an extremely bad odor from the bathroom-room 14. They tried to address it but it never quite went away-ugh. The drain was in the shower was slow. The room was hot and stuffy. The windows don't have screens so we could only use a fan which didn't really help.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was ideal once we reached it(it was a little tricky finding it). I felt extremely safe at the hotel and within the town. The kitchen was nice and the beds were comfortable. They helped us book transportation to Antigua.

we had booked initially a double room with double bed, but we were given a twin room, which also looked less nice and had a very small window. after we reported this to the owner, we were given the room we originally booked, but only for the second night, it was not available in the night of the arrival.

clean and good location, very good value for money. it has a fully equipped shared kitchen.

Poor drainage in sink and shower. Toilet faces the wall and is too close to the wall.

Spacious room. Comfortable beds. Let us check in early and check out late without additional fees. TV has Netflix. Located off the main street and at the end of an alleyway which makes it quieter.

The WiFi was a little spotty at times but manageable. It was quite difficult to find the property at first - I arrived quite late at night so this made me a little uneasy - but there were many people willing to help me find my way.

The room was comfortable, with a great hot shower. Lovely terraza to enjoy on the property, and in a nice, quiet and friendly neighbourhood. Not a long walk from the lake, and it was close to many amenities.

The only thing was that the toilet was too close to the wall making it a little tight when sitting.

Comfortable bed in a quiet place. TV was the best we had in three weeks in Guatemala—Netflix for movies and several English channels. Was able to watch the Super Bowl in English! Friendly staff always ready to help.

Our room did not have air con and it got very hot! The wifi was really bad.

The location is in a great location, just off the main strip leading to the lagoon. It was less than a 10 min walk from where our shuttle dropped off. It was easy to find the hotel using the staffs instructions sent beforehand. The staff are really nice and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The shower was strong and hot. The kitchen is well equipped with free water.

The location was good but initially a little difficult to find as it's down a narrow street then down another narrow side street. I would recommend some signage if possible.

Location was awful. Had to walk down 2 lane ways which didnt have lighting at night. Motorcycles and tuktuks came racing down with no regard for safety of the pedestrians. The lane ways were full of dog poo and we witnessed a black pit bull lunge and bark and try to attack a man walking in front of us. An elderly couple who lived there came out and chased him away with a broom. While the hotel is cute and clean, beware of location. If you stay there make sure not to get the room which has the window opening directly onto the communal kitchen where lots of socializing goes on.

The water reservoir (how do you call that lol) of the toilet had some problems, because there was damage inside which was solved by a small rope. the rope unfortunately kept on getting loose leading to not be able to flush. We also had to do a trick by turning a gear below the sink in the bathroom to get water from the faucet (if we didn’t open that, there wouldn’t come any water). So there were some defects, but that didn’t ruin our stay. The location is perfect in the center, but it’s pretty difficult to find the hotel. Before check in they give a very detailed description, which helped a lot. However it wasn’t enough for us newbies. With a lot of friendly people living there and tourist there we were helped and reached in no time after all. Didn’t get to use the shower.

Staff was very helpful and accommodation. Helped us out with anything and friendly. We also could store luggage after check out which was a huge plus. Room is basic but fine and nice. For the price we had a very pleasant stay.

Our room was on the ground floor and close to some common areas, so there were always people talking. If you have light sleep, better take some ear plugs. Some hangers on the bathroom/room for towels and jackets would help a lot!

Staff were friendly and helpful. There is also a kitchen that everyone can use it.

the location was good, but down a narrow alley, so coming with luggage meant needing to walk a bit till you reach the hostal from the car drops you off...not the end of the world but just something to note

Through no fault of the owners (I guess), there was a large party (of Christians, including a nun) staying... who were SO noisy in the shared kitchen area. I must appear as a very uncool dude to be complaining about a bunch of people continually laughing at the most inane remarks. But it felt like I was stuck in a cycle continuous mindless guffawing. I asked them to quieten things down but they were so full of the joy of themselves that the volume soon increased. Egh... very clean rooms, but I must have arrived on the wrong day... and it is not so easy to find down the alleyways.

The kitchen needs to be more organised as some food is placed around with no clear owner.

The kindness of the staff all through our stay. The room is confortable and very cleaned. The rooftop for meals or chill is a wonderful feature. The location is also very convenient We loved to stay here and definitely would come back again.

The rooms lack some storage possibilities (hooks for jackets or towels). You can hear quite a lot through the walls. A little nightlight would be great.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The whole Hotel was very clean and we liked the interesting, open architecture including a rooftop terrace. The Location was very good, it was only a short walk to the lake.

Not the hotel’s fault but other travelers were not considerate speaking loudly in the kitchen at 4 in the morning. A shame as otherwise the location is quiet !

Great quiet location which is not difficult to find if you follow the instructions provided right after booking! it’s far enough to be quieter but still very close to walk to the center :) Very friendly and responsive staff
