The mattresses all had massive dips in the middle and weren't very comfortable.

The staff were amazing and super friendly, everything was very clean and it's a great location.

Nothing worth writing about!

Such a nice spot to stay in Antigua! Nice and close to all the attractions. The rooms were super clean, there were always staff there keeping the place nice and tidy. The hosts were super friendly and helpful with any questions. It was a nice chill vibe as well which was good before tackling the Acatenango hike! Can you sit on the terrace and watch Fuego erupting in the distance which is cool if you're not doing the Acatenango hike.

I've stayed at many hostels in Antigua over the last 2 years and Purpose Hostel is my favourite that I keep coming back to. Really relaxed environment, maybe the best terrace in town, always clean, the staff are lovely, comfy dorm beds, areas to hang out, quiet at night, in a great location and even has a space with desks and chairs where you can work. I always recommend this place to anyone looking for a great value hostel in Antigua

They don't have a proper kitchen. Hope that changes in the future. There is no AC in the rooms, I suspect it will be a bit hot in the summer. The beds need to be renewed, but they are not as bad as the look

Toilets often get clogged or easily, even without paper.

The staff are amazing. They were always approachable and friendly. They also gave many useful suggestions. I also received a Christmas card from them for staying around the Christmas period! Location is good as it’s not far from the plaza but tucked in a quiet street.

The location is good, the hostel is clean, everything is good ! What impressed me the most is the staffs! Thanks so much to Sory , Miller, José & Tatjana and Sylvia and others I didn’t know the name ! This is the most organized hostel I’ve ever stayed! I travelled during the Protest time of Guatemala, also my flight has changed, because of the fantastic staffed, I managed the travel essy during the roadblock time!

One staff was a little impatient, perhaps having a bad day, felt rushed and judged when expressing adesire for the proper bed and room for optimum joy and comfort.

Lovely cleaning ladies, love the plants and atmosphere is supportive of many varieties of activities, private or group. A SHARING bin would be gr8, take clothing, leave clothing or any iteitems!

Wow this hostel is the perfect place to stay. All of the staff were outstanding in their politeness and kindness. I was unfortunate enough to be ill during my stay and I was very well taken care of and offered tea and hot water bottles. The staff, especially Tatiana and Soli went above and beyond with support and advising me on a doctor to see. The hostel was also exceptionally clean, the cleanest I have ever been to! Also, free tea and coffee whenever was a big bonus.

The Wi-Fi did not work in our room which was really annoying (it was supposed to!). We appreciate the staff trying to fix this issue although it was never fixed.

The room and the location is fantastic but I think that it should include the breakfast as it is not a cheap property. Also, in Guatemala on many hotels you can't flush toilet paper and you leave it in a bin, but I had to ask to have the room cleaned as after two days they still hadn't emptied the bin or clean the room. So for the price I expect to have breakfast included and clean the room more often. I booked an ensuite double room. Also they didn't accept credit cards, but I hope this is been fixed.
