We had a studio room and honestly it was not great. I hate leaving bad reviews but there’s no point leaving a review if you aren’t honest. The bed was not a full double bed so was very uncomfortable for 2 people. It is up some very rickety stairs so if you have accessibility issues this is not the room for you. The kitchen in the studio was too old and dirty to actually use. The shower was so mouldy that we couldn’t use it. The room was not a fully enclosed room so there were lots of bugs, and absolutely no sound insulation. The next door property on one night of our stay seemed to function as a nightclub or something and was blaring music all night long, and as the room was not enclosed it was so loud we may as well have been in the club! But honestly despite all the issues the main one was the fact that the bed was not a double for me. Maybe the cheaper rooms would have been better?

The property is in a good location and is very affordable compared to other options nearby. The views from the hostel were really nice as well and the free kayaks was a nice touch. A really friendly kitten hangs around as well.

I asked if early Check-out was possible. The reception ladys said yes. But it was not true. If you want to leave before 9 you need to check out the night before to get your deposit back. Everything was kinda improvised. Since the beds were in improvised buildings it got pretty cold at night. The shower didn't have a showerhead and was really cold.

Most of the people who worked there were really helpful and nice. They had free kajak rental and tuk-tuk during the stay.

It was rather shabby, the toilet didn’t flush properly so I had to keep using the communal ones despite having a private bathroom, noise travels a lot, there’s loud music nearby in the evenings so no chance of an early night if you’re tired, could definitely be cleaner as the bathroom had mould in the shower and a cracked sink, they only accept cash and take a deposit of 100GTQ that is returned if nothing is broken which I think takes the mick given the condition of the place.

The location is good, takes about 5 minutes to walk to places to eat and drink, can get to the port easy enough, they offer a free TukTuk service and free kayak rentals, staff are friendly and helpful and it’s cheap.

They totally scammed me on a few things. The free tuk tuk is only good until checkout time. When I booked it before checkout the driver was running late then told me it was too late to pick me up. We booked a private shuttle from San Pedro to Antigua through the hostel. The lady working at the front desk asked us which day and for payment. We paid and gave the correct date of travel. We then showed up at the meeting point to find no bus. So we went and talked with her to find out she wrote down the previous day instead of the right one. When we asked for a different shuttle or a refund they refused and said we missed the bus! It was a total scam and I reported it to the police.

Was very cheap and included a couple of good amenities like free tuk tuk.

Maybe the best value for money we had in the last 2 months. It's not luxurious by any means, it's basically like camping but you have a nice comfy bed instead of sleeping on a mat. The facilities were cleaned regularly and the shower had reliabily hot water. Part of the common area is a terrace that overlooks the lake. But the best part is the free unlimited kayak rental from 8:00-16:00. Make sure to use it at least once, it's awesome.

it was the loudest hostel i have ever been to. The neighbours played music at full volume each night which was ridiculous - ear plugs didn’t do anything aswell as a busy road and roosters

The location of the hostel is on the side of San Pedro so it’s a really calm place (with a bit of music from the restaurant next door). You can rent kayaks for free which is amazing. I really enjoyed all the outside areas, nice equipped kitchen, beautiful terrace with the lake view. Also all the staff there is so kind, helpful and always smiling.

My "room" didn't have an actual bed, it had two pieces of foam laid on top of a wood slat frame. I could feel every slat and was falling inbetween them, it was so uncomfortable I had to use my inflatable camping sleeping pad on top just to get to sleep. My shack was also directly next to the kitchen/common area. People were up talking until like 2am, no one was respecting quiet hours. Also, all night and morning people were smoking cigarettes and my entire shack reeked like cigarette smoke.

Thought this place was a joke at first - but no, it's all real. Free kayaks (for as long as you want, from 8am to 4pm), free tuk tuk, affordable accommodation, pool table, table tennis, and a nice roof with a view of the lake. Super friendly staff.

We stayed in a twin cabin and it was great! Very spacious, and we each had a Mosquito net. Everything was clean throughout the duration of our stay, and the staff were all great. Amazing location next to the lake, and we were able to rent kayaks for free.

Love this hotel, they really look after you and it's far enough from the night life but close enough to walk there. All the staff are great and really make you feel at home. Lastly, I was able to bring my dog

The loudest hostel/accommodation I’ve ever stayed at. The quiet hour started at 11pm but the bar next door played extremely loud music until 4 am. The tents/ “cabins” have no walls or way to lock your belonging. Ours had a leak and water was pouring in all night. The bedding felt a little unclean as well. We left after one night and didn’t bother to ask for a refund.

Close to town, it was the cheapest accommodation we found. Good if you only need an hour or two of sleep. They offer one free tuktuk ride and 1 hour paddle board or kayak. Great for partying if that’s what you are there for!

Was quite nice to have your own little room for this price point. As an outdoor campsite style place, can be little tricky getting to the shower with the rain, lol. Perks like kayak and tuk-tuk included. It looks like they overhauled most of the units - in some of the older photos, it's mostly teepees. when I was there they had these little cabin type things for the most part. Enjoyed the wildlife. I'd recommend the place. Some more upgrades and it'd be pretty solid. All in all positive experience

Amazing property!! Best view of the lake on the whole of atitlan, comfortable cabins and so cool to have your own space for such a fantastic price!! The kitchen facilities were also brilliant :)
