Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Hong Kongfirst time ordering the room service menu, hainan chicken rice was $200 but absolutely terrible in terms of both quantity and quality; gym staff said we could stay after 9pm (?)due to the typhoon, then another “manager” barged in a while later and accused us for trespassing the gym facility after-hours

IsraelIn the Hotel food & restaurants are super overpriced. Location Faraway from the center by metro from Central station 1hour plus 15 minutes walk to hotel. Room charges are high too. Like Marriott in the same area. For smokers - Smoking area outside of the hotel even-though there is an open terrace caffe on the first floor. It’s just not right to kick out smokers out of the hotel and make them stand under the umbrellas when it’s rains in a 5 star hotel. You need to improve it. Overall Hong Kong became super unjustified expensive !!! Not the best experience from local taxi drivers, cheating tourists pretending they don’t speak English or Chinese and driving you to a locations which you don’t need even though showing them the location name and address written in both languages. As a tourist in HK max 2 days. Expensive, overcrowded hot, humid.

United KingdomNo daily room service unless pay extra. The buffet and the restaurant price were way too expensive and not worth the price. The location is not great, location on the edge of an industrial state. Nearby shopping centres are full of restaurants but nothing else if you fancy shopping. A bit of a walk for older people for MTR especially when the weather isn’t great.
It’s very new and stylish. Great to have a small up market supermarket store inside the hotel. Staff were attentive and rectified a problem when they messed up the shuttle bus booking with a paid taxi trip for us.

Hong KongLocation is around 8 mins from MTR. Hotel surroundings are only industrial buildings. Not convenience for shopping and eating. Plus not clean air passing through those industrial buildings.
Overall hotel is clean. Swimming pool is ok and fitness room has good brand equipments. Plus free bikes to take out on the ground floor.

AustraliaWe were staying there for 12 nights. I was intended to book a double room but for some reason my confirmation from booking.com was showing Twin Bedroom. I immediately sent a message to the hotel and asked for correction. Unfortunately I did not receive any respond from them. When I check in at the hotel, the staff told me that they have seen my message but I do not understand why I received no respond at all. Another unfortunate is that they can’t change the room type and the reason of it is because I’m staying too long. Maybe 12 nights is long but I’m not sure whether this is a valid reason. I am disappointed anyway. I am not asking for an upgrade, I am only asked for correction and the hotel did not seem to take the customer request seriously.
Room is clean. Nice view. The buffet there is fabulous.

ChileI was at the reception and I was bitten by snakes on my legs, it was very uncomfortable the distribution of the desk, chair and bed is strange if you want to hold a meeting you don't have enough light The other thing was the carpets, it is a relatively modern and new hotel, I have stayed before but the room this time was stained, it lacked cleaning.
I really like how modern it is, I really like the staff at the reception and the service staff in the room, it also has quick access to the subway, I like the supermarket, the cafeteria and the laundry, they are very accurate, the other thing is the Filtered water in the corridors I think it makes it sustainable by avoiding the consumption of plastic for us foreigners.

Hong Kong- check in took 45 mins due to a very long lines. seem the hotel didn’t have enough staff to do the check in - check in was meant to be at 3.00pm which is quite late especially when checkout is very early at 11.00am - wants to use the pool the following day but for some reason it couldn’t be booked the day before - we were “allocated” a breakfast slot of 7am- 8.15am. totally unacceptable that we have no choice of breakfast slot and we’re allocated this too early a slot. At the breakfast itself we were reminded with about 15 minutes of our slot left that that we had to get out at 8.15. extremely rude treatment to a paying customer - we asked reception for late check out and they agree to 12pm but the staff in a rude tone told use that if we were later than 12.00 we would be charged an ENTIRE night extra. Really appalling treatment - the “swimming” pool was not fit for purpose as it was crowded with children and the staff made to attempt to clear the way for anyone who actually wanted to swim. there should have been a lane put up to divide swimmer from those just there for recreation. - no bathrobes we’re provided in the room

Hong KongBenefit included in the room price is not clear on 3rd party booking platform. ie. breakfast for kids! Checked with hotel prior to arrival, Hotel informed that breakfast for kids is $118+10%, but upon check in, staff said the breakfast price for kid is $128+10% now because they increased the price last night. However, information provided from the in-room iPad also stated that the breakfast price is $118+10% and the receipt from restaurant also is $118+10%. When I check-out, the breakfast price the staff want me to pay is $128+10%. Glad that the FO staff finally managed to amended the price and charge what they have committed to me upon my check-in.
The room is clean and nice!
