Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaThe "Standard double room" was advertised as having windows(even the first picture was with windows), I think it should be specifically mentioned if the room doesn't have a window (it was not mentioned in the title or description). There were pictures for the "standard double room" clearly displaying windows but we were told that the majority of the rooms are without windows and we couldn't receive a room with window. The room we have received has had the same pictures as the "small double room" but the hotel staff was claiming that the small double room is even smaller. It could have been better cleaned (especially in the bathroom). In one of the days, there was no water for the toilet. A small improvement that can be made: The blanket is very small for someone above 1.8m height. Overall, what is the most annoying is not what was temporarily not working but the fact that the staff is trying to trick the tourists by promoting "small double rooms" as being "standard double rooms" and charging like this + not acknowledging the lack of accuracy of information(displaying 90 m2 for a room which would be unrealistic for Hong Kong)
The location is good, close to the center We appreciate we could leave the luggage in the hallway for few hours after check-out. Communication initiated by the staff on the day of arrival by WhatsApp to check arrival time

United States5x smaller than you imagined, our room was probably the width of a queen bed and the length of 1.5x a queen bed. The bathroom was small, and doubled as a shower. We did see a cockroach crawling in the hallway.
Right next to the MRT station, host was responsive. They have password locks so no need to deal with a room card. The wifi was fine.

Location, and self-check in. It was strategically located near everything that you need throughout your stay. Though the room is cannot accommodate you comfortably if you are on a bigger size group, all is well. I loved the disposable towels that they provided.

ColombiaAccessing the place was a nightmare. Host never sent instructions, the place is in the 12th floor of a building, it is not a hotel, but a kind of AirBNB. we had to call the host and after an unintelligible English, we received access codes by Whatsapp. No place to leave lugagge (we left them in the corridor for a couple of hours).

The room was very small but has everything you need. the location is perfect and the airport bus is in front of the building. communication with the owner via booking was good!

IndonesiaThe TV shows only live CCTV feed around the building. The AC drips water. The manager suggested setting the temperature lower, but then its remote ran out of battery. The door to the house was hard to open.
The bed was comfortable. Shower with hot water works perfectly. Tons of places to put your stuffs. Extremely strategic location as well! The owner/manager proactively sent us necessary information to help us find the location easily, which was vital since navigating Hong Kong's labyrinthine apartments without guides is a task best suited for a pro spelunker.

JapanNo windows. The toilet is close to the bed, and the walls are thin, so you can hear the neighbor's noise.
Close to the subway, there is a coin laundry on the first (Grand floor) floor of the apartment. There are towels, and the shower and toilet are small but separated.
