We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThis is such a great place. Comfortable. Efficient. Lovely staff. Wonderful pool. Sublime views over the harbour. I have stayed in perhaps half of all the five star hotels on Hong Kong Island and this is my favourite. A quality place at a price that will not break the bank.

AustraliaThe view looking out and location of room
They provide a terrible room with windows looking 90% into another building right in front with a very small glimpse of the Harbour - if they describe this as Harbour view I must say, it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack

AustraliaThe check in took more than 30 min. There was only one guy checking in. Our bags were taken to be dropped off to room but never came. I called from room phone to recieption and room service multiple times but no one answered the phone. I went to the recieption after 1 hr and asked for the bags as we wanted to change and go outside. Finally, luggage arrived. Waste of 1.5 hrs just waiting for the bags. Rooms are very old and need an upgrade. The ballroom was nice but not other areas. Good breakfast. The room we stayed in was very small and expensive. Good location. Overall not recommended at this price.
The Sauna and Spa were good and the swimming pool. I guess that's the only good thing about this hotel.

AustriaNo drinkingwater in the room, no toothbrush, no shaver, no filled up minibar. This is no 5* standard. They told me because of the plastic rules. I really respect this rules, but for 5* they should solve this problem. It is very easy: Put glass waterbottles in the room, put wooden bath tools, fill up minibar.

Great location, wonderful facilities and exceptional staff. Upgrade to the Harbour Club if you can, it is worth it, not least for the spectacular view that you enjoy every day at breakfast. A special mention to Maria at the Front Desk for her invaluable advice on what to see in Hong Kong. We went through our plans with her and she helped us make the most of them, making our trip really special

United KingdomThe hotel does look a little tired, but thats it.
Our first trip back to Hong Kong since youknowwhat, and we chose to stay in the Harbour Grand in North Point again; we have stayed there before and we keep returning for many reasons. The hotel itself is a little tired compared to some newer hotels, but the quality of the staff especially, as well as the rooms, the location, the food and the views massively overcomes this. We stayed in Club rooms, and the staff could not have done more for us - especially Carman and Elna. The location of the hotel means that, walk outside and you are immediately into "real" Hong Kong - with al the assaults on the senses that implies. Great local bars, shops, restaurants and atmosphere. We will definitely be returning.

NetherlandsThe service is a mess and the staff makes mistakes on a daily basis that ruin your experience: - booked 2 deluxe rooms with harbour view but only 1 was available at checkin. - booked top lounge restaurant months in advance and they cancelled few days before then they rebooked us on the wrong day. - every day we had to be told how our rooms didn’t include breakfast when actually they did but their system wasn’t updated for few days. - we got a late check out till 3 PM but our cards stopped working at 12… I can go on with these issues. They just can’t get their act together.
Great hotel with comfortable rooms and amazing view of the Harbour. The restaurant at the top offers breathtaking views

Turkey- When I entered the hotel, Concierge guided me towards reception and I went to the only receptionist that was not dealing with anyone at the time. It took him around 30 seconds to raise his head and look at me. Then he said “go back, I am waiting for a group!”. I was shocked, I tried to clarify that I was there for check in and he repeated “go back” and went back to what he was doing before I disturbed him with my presence. I was baffled, shocked and went back to the Concierge who had guided me towards the reception. I told them what their colleague said and thankfully, they were nice and told me to wait for the next receptionist who luckily did not hate the guest for trying to check in and was very kind and helpful. - The room was not ready at 3pm which is unacceptable, especially for guests coming from overseas and had very long flights. They said it was due to high number of late check outs but they should not have let that happen unless they could manage it in time. We should not pay for the price of the previous guest checking out late especially after a 14 hour flight! - They told me to wait until my room was ready. This was the check in time, at 3pm! I needed internet to respond to few mails and work. I asked the staff the wifi password and they went to reception to check it. It was again the receptionist who seemed to be annoyed with everything. He looked at me, the laptop in my hand, said sth in his language and handed a piece of paper with the passcode on it to the staff. As someone living in Asia and traveling quite often, this did not look like cultural difference, it was rude! I worked for about half an hour until my room was ready and then the kind receptionist came to inform me that he has sent my luggage upstairs and I could go to my room. - During check in, they said they have upgraded my room but that also changed since that room was still not ready at 3:30pm.
- very nice staff including the staff doing the cleaning, those in the restaurant and the reception except “one” in the reception the first day. The receptionist who helped me with check in was very helpful and kind despite the previous encounter with his colleague right beside him. - super clean hotel! - breakfast was excellent! - very close to Fortress Hill station. - you can get electric plug adapter from the Concierge but they are a bit confused. One asked for deposit and did not give me the adapter since I have just arrived the hotel and did not have HKD on me yet. I asked him to charge the deposit to my room or accept payment by card but nope, he was very strict and suggested to charge my phone for me until I bring back cash. I understand some guests might have taken them but they should charge it to the room or by card for those who has arrived HK just get! I had to give my phone to charge until I headed out to exchange money in a rush.🙂↕️Then I came back, there was someone else and voila, they handed over one without any deposit.

AustraliaThere are a few things to consider as Hong Kong is an expensive place, so if like me you want to enjoy a well-deserved holiday and you think by putting all your money into a harbour view room is worthy, you'll be highly disappointed. Not only the name of the room but all the pictures are MISLEADING. Most rooms offer OFFICE view OR (at the best) very OBSTRUCTED "harbour view." To see some part of the harbour, you must stand behind the desk and still, you get the view on the road, the parking... So you pay for a harbour view that you don't get. Another thing to consider is that there are two breakfast areas based on the type of room you select, and unlike in all the pictures available here, you do NOT get a harbour view from the third floor, but you get an office/pool/ traffic view at best. Another lie. So, unless you're weatlhy, forget about the harbour view. Lastly, you can also forget about having your peace and quiet because every day, you'll have people knocking on your room in the afternoon from 2pm to 6 or 7pm. Sometimes, several people in a day! It's either the pest control, or a woman coming to check if the housekeeper has done the job well (why don't you inspect the room straight after the housekeeper has come?) and other time, I had plain 'Inspection'. So I asked "What type of inspection are you doing?" "For your safety." they replied... My safety? Never have I been in a five stars hotel that was harrassing/observing their guests so much! I was highly uncomfortable and very annoyed not to be able to relax, to constantly have to open the door for someone to come in or check my room for a reason that didn't seem legit. I felt like they were looking for reasons to come and check on me (solo traveler here). Either way, it was hard to enjoy my holiday and to relax. Forget about your afternoon nap, meditating... The worst is that they insist.
First of all, I'd like to say my stay was pleasant, but I would not go again as I felt mislead by the pictures and the advertising which only show a part of the property that you do not have access to based on what you pay (Club premium and others have access to these places...). Besides that, my room was spacious enough, the bathroom, bedroom very comfy, I've really appreciated the help from Maria (upon my arrival) as I felt she went the extra mile to help me out in planning my visits of Hong Kong. Second of all, the breakfast on the third floor was fantastic, there were vegetarian options, meat, fish, fresh and canned veggies, delicious bread and pastries. I've had the freshly made soup several times and it was really good. Lastly, the location is very convenient, you are 4 minutes away to the Metro station and main bus stop which make it very easy to visit HKG island and others. Overall, I've enjoyed my stay, but I would not recommend due to the misleading pictures on the wesbite, price, and the constant knocking on my door every single afternoon...
