Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaThe WiFi was significantly slow and felt almost unusable at times. It's enough to text or stream 480p videos, but not enough to upload photos/videos or do some office work. Your own data plan should be faster than WiFi. Also, there was no plug adapter available, so you might need one if you are traveling from another country.
The hostel lobby was amazing! It had a lot of tour pamphlets, fancy chairs, a sofa, and a very good place to relax and socialize. I was able to meet many new people and talk to them since this place was available to all hostel rooms and you can talk without disturbing anyone all night. There was also a locker to lock your suitcase as well below the bed. The bed has a table lamp kind of light that you can twist and point in any direction. It's not very suitable if the room lights are off, but still manageable.

SingaporeThe space is a little bit limited in the rooms and beds, which can make organizing bags, changing clothes, and having things in the nightstand a bit awkward at times. Similar for showers - just overall a bit short for space, but probably just what HK is like overall. Equally assuming the high-ish cost is simply due to HK rents.
They do a good job at creating a cozy ambience, and a functioning help-yourself vibe. Staff are willing to help when needed. The community vibe is friendly, although the limited space and need to care for others' sleep limit social opportunities. Wifi was decent, facilities all worked well, the location is super excellent in the middle of things and just a 1-2 mins walk away from MTR station. A good spot for experienced travelers.

TaiwanThe only complaint with the hostel that I have is that since I was given a top bunk, I would have liked bigger curtains like the lower bunks have. The second complaint I have is the quality of the other guests. Some don't seem to have any regard for the others staying in the room and make so much noise when opening and closing the door, or digging through their luggage in the middle of the night. 你們可不可以禮貌一點呢? My final complaint is with Hong Kong in general: hostels should not cost this much!
The location is excellent, and it was clean with a nice shower room and public area.

ItalyUnfortunately rooms are not soundproof, so during the night I could hear other people opening the door, walking in the aisle and using the shower/toilet next to my room.
The hostel is lovely and had everything you need for the stay, including kitchen, fridge and water distributor. The staff was helpful and nice. It is located close to the metro station to move around Hong Kong and the bus stop to the airport is also close by.

PolandOne thing to keep in mind when you're a light sleeper: my bed's curtain didn't close fully, [3/4 of my bed was curtainless... why bother with a curtain if it doesn't serve its purpose anyway]
The location is very convenient, close to the metro station and bus stops. Next to the Avenue of Stars

DenmarkTerrible Wi-Fi in the rooms (it was alright in the shared space). The staff were alright, although there was this one guy living in the hostel who knew one of them. He was super loud in the shared spaces, and even hid the A/C remote for the room, apparently with allowance from the staff. It seemed really weird, because other people were bothered by him.
First of all - a nice location, really clean place and free coffee. I didn't feel like I got really good value for money, but I think that's the prices in Hong Kong.

ColombiaThe only thing to keep in mind is that the hostel doesn’t have many facilities. However, they don’t advertise them, so it’s not misleading. If you're looking for a place to relax inside, this might not be the best choice, but if your goal is to explore the city, it’s the perfect spot!
I really enjoyed my stay here! The best part was definitely the location—less than a 5-minute walk from a metro station, which made getting around super convenient. It’s also very close to K11 Musea, Victoria Dockside, and many other tourist spots, as well as plenty of shops and restaurants. For the price, I think it was a great deal! Another big plus for me was the cleanliness of the bathrooms. That’s something I really care about, and they were always kept spotless, which I really appreciated.

CyprusVery well organised little hostel with friendly staff. Loved the facilities and the cozy common living room. The location is very central and close to the subway station. What could be better is the bed mattress which was ok but not great and also would be nice to provide a lock for the personal belongings box.
