Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe steam room still had moles in it. This is very toxic. I remember giving my feedback about this 4years ago nothing has changed. I requested duck pillow and never got it. The pillows smells. The hotel is old fashioned and urgently needs a refurbishment including the air-con. I believe the dust in the air-con made me sick. The windows are not privacy, so I had a lot of viewers from the bus stations and the car park at the front. I didn’t trust the cleaners either my stuff was looked into and moved or removed from original place. Quite suspicious act. 4years ago 2019, I didn’t have a pleasant stay. 4 years after nothing has changed- I stayed for wedding event. I will not return to this hotel that’s for sure.

Hong Kongthe suite needs some maintenance and uplift, it seems to be quite old, not very clean and smelly, limited TV station channels, sound proofing needs to be improved - can listen to what people in next room is talking (maybe because it can be a connecting room)

Hong KongIf they resume breakfast service, it will be great for a businessperson, we don't like to walk out hotel and look for a bakery or restaurant for a breakfast on business trips...
I often stay Regal Oriental hotel. now, they stopped handling company account, so I have to book through booking site which is not very convenient because I have to check in with credit card transaction that takes extra time. However, hotel staff always efficient, and counter usually not so crowded so check in and check out considerably smooth. This time the staff gave me room upgrade, it was very nice. Hotel locates in the farthest side of Kowloon city, so car access very convenient, MTR new line are around 10minutes walk and supermarket and restaurants are within 5`10 minutes but not exactly a city center environment.

MacauI had to queue for more than 1h to check in, which only opened at 3.00 and when my turn finally arrived only one room was available (my friends and I booked 2 rooms). I have complaint and finally we go the second room, it was almost 5.00 pm. This is totally unacceptable but unfortunately seems to be the new market trend, move the check in from 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm snd the check out from 12pm to 11 am. the least they could do is to have the rooms available. shameful

United KingdomEverything was a bit shabby and dated. The TV wasn’t very modern. The power outlets weren’t well-positioned. I’m glad I brought all my own cables and plugs. There were chips all over the sink area of the bathroom. like someone had been opening bottles of beer on it. I had to keep getting up to press the toilet flusher in the night to stop it constantly streaming. I could clearly hear other guests in rooms around me at night, talking, washing, coughing, sneezing, and, a few times in the night, I was awoken by the foulest smells like sulphur. It may have been the harbour but smelt like a toilet. Some of the staff didn’t seem to be trained very well in providing customer service to the point that they bordered on being rude. I have a 10:55 pm flight today, so I asked at the front desk, the night before whether I could get a later checkout. I read that someone who’d booked a suite for only a few days (I’ve stayed here for three weeks) suggested asking this as the hotel was “very accommodating” and allowed her to stay in her room until 6 pm on the day of her flight. Well, not me! I was repeatedly told no, it’s not possible, latest checkout for me is at midday because the hotel has a lot of bookings. But I checked the room availability before I asked and if I’d seen that there were no other rooms available on the day I checkout, I wouldn’t have asked. However, I counted no less than 148 rooms available to be booked online and about a third of them were identical to mine. No apology or alternative solution was offered, so I then asked about the possibility of leaving my luggage at the hotel until I leave for the airport. I was told to call the concierge to collect it from my room when I leave. Really? This is a 5 star hotel and they have told me that I MUST checkout at midday and they can’t even arrange for my luggage to be collected when I do checkout? Since when did 5 star mean DIY?
My room was fairly large and had a good view of the harbour and mountains.
