Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaBreakfast offering did not meet my expectations. The standard had dropped significantly since my previous visits, both in the range of food available and the quality. The oatmeal porridge was inedible.

SingaporeI was given a room with a pink/red facade and so my room is reddish in the day and the outside view was pinkish red. Reception should have told me of this at check in and I should be given a choice whether to accept it.
check in and check out was fast. Staff were friendly. Location not as great as Causeway Bay as most shops in surrounding area are closed at night but transportation is available. The room was clean and basic amenities were available.

SingaporeI had a birthday cake and called to reception to bring me the knife and plates, they told they have only plastic ones and I should come down to take it. it’s not what I expect to hear when I call the stuff and usually they bring it to the room. and plastic knife and plates also is a bad thing to offer. Especially the knife, quite hard to cut the huge cake with a small plastic knife.

ChinaNo late meal... I got in just before 9 - no dinner. went outside to the 'lunatic' Egyptian at Panda and Son, and had a wonderful evening there. You missed an opportunity to feed me - and he benefited. I was tired and hungry. Breakfast simple and ok and accessible (usually, bits are scattered all round the restaurant). But the bacon was cold and the coffee not really hot enough .... but passable +.
Room - clean habitable - I like the design - the clarity - simplicity - functionality - unpretentious... Hard bed good! Good linen! Bathroom efficient and good - good towels... It did what it says on the can!

Hong KongThe entrance is currently under construction so not very welcoming. Many lifts but not very easy to use (some of them lead to the 5th floor and then you have to change to go down..), it’s a waste of time.
Location: very close to public transportation (bus, mtr, tram). High ceiling which is nice for HK

ThailandThere’s no bidet but I think it’s not a thing in HK. Bathroom easily floods but also fast to drain. Though the flooring is not well because it keeps some puddle of water.
I like that it is 1 or 2 station away from Central. Even if the room is small, it has maximized the space. There’s a long table facing the habour. There’s fridge, small wardrobe and shelf. Toilet is small but provides what you need. There’s laundry service, grocery, bank and food options like dimsum nearby.

SingaporeThe bed was a little hard/creaky but it wasn’t a deal breaker. If I recall, you can request for a comforter if you find it too hard. We didn’t take it up as it didn’t bother us too much.
The location was great - about a 5-10min walk to Sheungwan station and there was a tram station just across the street. The room was functional too with a nice view of the sea.

ChinaThe rooms are a little dated, but if you don't mind having an older room, it will work perfectly.
Location is great for those looking to get around the city. It was only a few minutes to the nearest MTR station. There were even signs leading us to the hotel from the MTR, so it was easy to find. There were options for food and cafes all in the area.
