Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaStaff: Not very welcoming; unable to accommodate early check-in despite prior request and having a toddler. Dining: Limited vegetarian options. Location: Not within walking distance of main shopping areas.
Pros: Location: While a bit far from major attractions, the hotel offers stunning views of Victoria Harbour and is close to Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Amenities: The hotel features a rooftop pool, a Michelin-recognized restaurant, and a beautiful vertical garden. Rooms: Spacious with modern amenities like free minibars and Nespresso machines.

South AfricaStaff in the lobby cafe were very rude and rushed which just generally creates a poor atmosphere on arrival and checkout. Maybe just inexperienced or overworked but typically not something you would encounter at a good hotel. I think the facilities themselves are alright, nothing overly special. Like you wouldn't honeymoon here obviously but for a work trip it is fine. This is not a normal 5-star hotel experience, like budget-5 or 4+.
The breakfast and Afternoon tea were quite good on the Above and Beyond package or whatever it's called. The pool was nice when it was open and most of the staff were quite friendly.

BelarusI had one disappointed in-room dining experience, ordered some food and cappuccino. The latter was forgotten and as an excuse the waiter suggested me to do coffee on my own by the given coffee machine... That's completely different coffee and that is not attitude expected from the 5 stars hotel. In January, it is quite noisy and cold in the room with conditioner, I had to turn that off.
Breakfast on the 28th floor was quite good and the area was extremely quiet. The part-harbour view was quite good from the 27th floor whenever it is a morning, day, sunset or night view.

SingaporeThe website said the hotel is situated in TST East which is not the case. The nearest MRT station is Hung Hom Station . And it’s a long walk to TST MRT Station. Felt cheated. It took me 50 mins to get to Admiralty Station 🤦🏻♀️

SingaporeSome repairs needed such as our toilet couldn't flush, mini bar refrigerator was not cold and the handle of the shower kept falling out. When asked for repair it took awhile to arrive. Older advertisement online said they used to have a handy phone which is not provided now. Shuttle bus to limited areas such as west kowloon and Harbour City, could have more stops to other parts of city would be helpful.
Clean and comfortable bed. The free mini bar was a pleasant surprise. Room was relatively spacious. Baby cot was comfortable. Bath tub and shower was a good pressure. Nice ambience at level 9 pool area and games area.

Denmarkit used to be my favorite hotel in HK. Service has unfortunately gone down over the years. I have been a frequent customer over the last 10 years but I think I will choose other options next time. The service is not as it used to be and the people in the market don’t have the same smile in their face and the awareness of the customers is not as it should be and not what is expected for a 5 start hotel. The hotel soon need an update because it start to look worn out.
still nice and clean with a modern touch.

South Africa1. The shower needed some additional cleaning. It was not super clean. 2. The breakfast staff were not inclined to be helpful. I expected more considering the fact that I was probably the first person at breakfast. Nobody offered to take an order to be prepared at the kitchen, nobody was at all interested in the fact that I may have a special dietary requirement, nothing.

Taiwanhotel icon was always my 1st choice when i go to HK, but i am very dispointed at the checking out counter lady this time. i asked for the invoice for this trip for company purpose. and she told me coldly that i should ask to where i book the room. so i called booking.com. booking.com staff told me that will contact hotel icon and there is agreement that hotal icon should be issuing the invoice at the counter when i check out. i dont understand how the lady can answer me without check where i made my booking. until today, i dont even recieve my invoice. very bad experience!!!!
the location, room, gym, view was always my 1st choice when i go to HK but after this time, i may not want to stay with hotel icon anymore.
